Klaus only took a move action last turn so that he could delay and go either before or after Inga.
I'm not sure what this would accomplish, but you cannot move and then delay, only ready, so the best Klaus could do is ready another move action, not a charge. I'll resolve it as his full round action on his normal turn.
Edit: Ooh, and now the headache of two incorporeal creatures attacking each other and determining PA on touch attacks.

Oops. I think I meant ready. I'll have to review the rules again.
I thought I could do a single move action to do whatever it is to change order in initiative.

Grandmaster TOZ |

That is correct, but you can only ready a standard or move, since ready is a standard action.

Ah. It is ready...
"The ready action lets you prepare to take an action later, after your turn is over but before your next one has begun. Readying is a standard action. It does not provoke an attack of opportunity (though the action that you ready might do so)."
Ok. He got turned to incorporeal form, then waited until Inga could cast a spell on him.
I think I got lost on initiative counts.

No worries, even though he's shown first in initiative now, he's actually taking his turn after Inga's anyway since he rolled so low. First to act in the second round, as we like to call it in my home games.

Is Jathyl immune to critical hits? :-O
Her AC seems to be 27, and this is exactly what Daedin rolled for the crit confirmation, but the extra damage wasn't taken into account...

Grandmaster TOZ |

That's exactly it, and boy was it fun to track down. :P Tyrant's Grasp has been something else with my swashbuckler, at least until he grabbed Ghostslayer.
An incorporeal creature has no physical body. An incorporeal creature is immune to critical hits and precision-based damage (such as sneak attack damage) unless the attacks are made using a weapon with the ghost touch special weapon quality. In addition, creatures with the incorporeal subtype gain the incorporeal special quality.

Ah, so ghost salt causes full damage to incorporeal but doesn’t count as ghost touch…I never made that connection before. And, if I recall correctly, a couple of my previous GMs didn’t either… ;)

Grandmaster TOZ |

It's an interesting choice, probably because they didn't want to make ghost touch and the other options to get it obsolete.

Regarding the current rounds of 5 & 6, does Klaus go before Inga (to finish up round 5) or vice versa?

Klaus the Phantom |

Does Klaus get an Attack of Opportunity on Jathyl for casting a spell?

Klaus the Phantom |

Yikes! Supernatural Ability to command, possess, or whatever?
Uh-oh. This doesn't look good.

![]() |

Question: Do we know if Jathyl is an evil ghost?

![]() |

Yes!!! :-D
Daedîn got a nat 20 on the second roll - Bit of Luck ftw!
Praise Desna! ;-)

![]() |

Thanks, Grunjar!
You're welcome. :-D
Alas, I only have one more ghost salt arrow…
But thanks to BoL, the four you just fired hit. :-) :-) :-) :-)

![]() |

Is this game part of Gameday XII? they just made an announcement to wind down tables...

![]() |

If all those hit, with full damage from my first arrow and half from the rest, think that’s right at 30; hope that drops her as I don’t think I’ll be lucky enough to ‘dodge’ another beam…

![]() |

One or a few lesser restoration(s) (level 2 spell) will repair the ability damage that Drusilla has.
To cure Daedîn's ability drain a restoration (level 4 spell) is needed - unfortunately, the material component is 100 gold per cast...

![]() |

So it’ll cost 100 gp for the spell? No worries, I’ll it…or more if I read that wrong…
Yes, the material component is diamond dust worth 100g. One cast is enough.

I'm just wondering if we got all those scrolls from the tree. I think there was also a section of the book up there too, right?

In such cases, I would recommend a post to the effect of 'Inga double-checks to make sure all of the scrolls she can see have been pulled from the pillar before giving the all-clear to burn it.' to cover your bases.
I imagine the party doesn't want to cut the larger items like the ships prow free given it does not detect as magic.
I've included the posts where Skivven retrieved the items with links to the respective posts in case that helps.
Skivven creeps into the upper reaches of the tree, tentatively crossing the boundary as Daedin did, but the haunt appears to not have recovered from its manifestation. The final part of the manuscript pulls slowly away, the sticky resin slowly releasing its grip.
Skittering down with the prize, he notes a shining book stuck to the tree as well, clearly magical to his senses. Thankfully, the cover is stuck in the same way as the parchment had been, pulling away with enough effort.
Skivven finds the scroll and scripture pull free with about as much effort, but the short bow will require magic or careful cutting into the pillar to free.
Does Skivven want to cut the weapon free?
With the removal of the bow, Inga confirms a total lack of magic adorning the tree.
What does the party do now?

If you have day jobs to roll, please update the sign in sheet with them soon!

Profession: Scribe, MW tool: 1d20 + 11 + 2 ⇒ (19) + 11 + 2 = 32
Nice! 75 gold! :-D

![]() |

Once back to the mainland of Nex, Inga wheels and deals with various merchants to expand her caravan route.
Diplomacy: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (16) + 14 = 30 75 gp
Woot! Party time on Inga's caravan!

If you have day jobs to roll, please update the sign in sheet with them soon!
For Skivven: please use Slow path for him, UNLESS you’ve already done his chronicle sheet… (my mistake)

![]() |

Excellent! slow it is then (the slide signup sheet is accurate). Thank you.

Grandmaster TOZ |

Anything else the party wants to do? I’m hoping to have more time to update tomorrow, work has been busy this week.

![]() |

Thankfully, Inga detects no undead hiding in the outhouse.
Lol! I thought it was an altar in a little Zen garden.
Edit: I guess you can say it's a "throne."

Didn't we want to plant a new pine tree?

![]() |

Didn't we want to plant a new pine tree?
Daedin did. The seeds from the pinecone.
We should check that tunnel below the complex. I think Skivven only got about halfway down there.

![]() |

Do we have all we came for? If not Skivven SOPs the rest of the dungeon.

Grunjar wrote:Didn't we want to plant a new pine tree?Daedin did. The seeds from the pinecone.
Yes, Daedîn got the seeds released from the cone (by burning it). But as there was also talk about the monetary value of the seeds I am not sure if he intends to leave the seeds there to grow...

No the talk was more of a general nature going forward as a business proposition (just RPing) and not about this particular old pinecone on the ground... I have assumed that the elf found a nice spot outside halfway up a hill and planted it in soft ground in memoriam of our bad demon ghost lady gone good... :P

Living in pine country, I know if you plant a pine cone, you nestle the bottom of it in the soil with most of the pine cone extending out of the dirt. I was guessing, when this particular pine cone was exposed to fire, its seeds would be released into the soil…just assuming that, aside from the fire, things work the same in Golarion in that respect…but I could be wrong…

Sounds good to me.
Regarding our mission goals, I had a look at our mission briefing:
Venture-Captain Brackett unfurls a map on a table. “Thank you for favoring us with your presence so swiftly, fellow Pathfinders. Divination pinpoints the manuscript on a tiny island off Nex’s barren coast—the Monastery of the Unremitting Tide—here. The mission is twofold. Return the Fleshforge Manuscript safely back to the Society, and ensure this thief will never try to steal it again. Questions?”
Do we know for certain that it was Jathyl who stole the manuscript?

Wow. Very cool scenario.
A ton of thanks for GMing, TOZ, and a ton of thanks to my fellow players for an awesome game!
Some things sure were confusing at first (and slightly frustrating), but it all made sense near the end.
Just to be sure...
It was Jathyl that stole the manuscript, right? She must've done it while in ghost form to get past the defenses.
Oh! And what was up with the statue in the likeness of Estarra?
