"If anyone has some healing, Ekedan looks BAD."

Lanel rushes to the side, looking for an opening that doesn't get him right up with the dragon. He uses an alchemist fire as an alchemical reagent for his Burning Hands.

"Here goes nothing..." he whispers under his breath as he unleashes a cone of fire upon the dragon avoiding to hit his friends.

Engulfed in Lanel's flames, the dragon sizzles to a crisp. At that same moment, a shimmering figment fades from the dragon revealing a smaller dragon, practically a toddler. It gasps for air as it lays dying.
"You... will... bow down... to the... Tempest Monarch. Ughhh..." it mutters in a squeaky, high pitched voice before taking its last breath.

The very young brine dragon that was disguised by an illusion lays dead at your feet.

Halflight Path

After the dragon mutters its last words and takes its final breath, the rift visibly calms a bit. The wind and waves are still quite strong, but nowhere near as strong as before. It appears it may be easier to escape the grotto.

With the dragon dead, you take some time to explore the rest of the cave. You find an old chest partially buried in the sand under a pile of driftwood and debris. Fortunately, the lock has long corroded away from the salty air.

Opening the chest, it contains a masterwork longsword, a potion of greater magic fang, 50 feet of spider’s silk rope, and 250 gold pieces in assorted coins.

Laying next to the chest is a stack of stone tablets with notes and research on the anomaly etched onto their surface.

Dr. Bellows, Ekadan, Lanel, and Patros:
With the Tempest Monarch no longer a threat and having had some time to think on the matter, you all recall that several parts of a brine dragon’s carcass (or any dragon for that matter!), such as its scales, teeth, and blood, are also valuable to collectors, smiths, or alchemists. It might be worth the effort to take it back with you. Too bad Lanel buried the dragon and even made a driftwood headstone and carved an epitaph.

Ekadan surveys the party for a shovel or, failing that, goes to work with someone's shield.

Halflight Path

Much to Lanel's dismay, you butcher the dragon and harvest whatever parts you can, including the tiny razor sharp baby teeth, but, at least, you rebury the organs and other unfavorable parts in the grave that Lanel had spent a good amount of time creating.

You gather the loot, including the stone tablets, and climb into the swan boat. As you make your way out of the grotto, you realize it's quite difficult to head out against the portal's pull, but fortunately with teamwork (and Ekadan's rowing chant) you eventually make it out of the cavern.

Back on the open coast, you begin to make your way towards The Grinning Pixie where Venture Captain Benarry is most likely eagerly awaiting your arrival and news about your discoveries. Soon after leaving the cavern, a pinpoint on the horizon resolves into the sight of another small boat. As it nears, it brings with it the fragrant scents and bright colors of garlands of flowers. In the boat are several masked figures, unarmed and wearing simple robes dyed sea green or ocean blue and bedecked in ceremonial regalia. They seem shocked to see a vessel emerging from the cave, and stare openly.
“What was your business in the sacred grotto of our god?” one of them calls. “No one, not even we, may enter!”

Realizing you are not bloodthirsty pirates, the leader and the others relax a bit.

"Well, my fellow seafarers, the Eye of Abendego heralds the birth of a new deity known as the Deluged God, and once emerged, it will flood all land on Golarion!"
At the mention of the Deluged God, the other cultists begin swirling their arms about slowly in the motion of a whirlwind while they spin in place. They softly chant, "The eye, the eye, the eye..." and they look quite ridiculous. A couple of the cultists toss flower petals into the water to be carried by the currents toward the cavern.
Those of you trained in Spellcraft:
They are not casting spells of any sort. They're just performing simple rituals.

Lanel Brandain wrote:

"Pfff." the leader scoffs, causing the twirling and chanting cultists to go silent and turn towards your boat. The leader continues, "It appears that place is a sacred extension of The Eye. The wind and currents have called us here." he says as he points toward the cavern. "We shall not pacify it. That cavern is a sacred place and you have no business here. We simply ask that you continue on your way so that we may perform our rituals." the leader pauses for a moment.

"It is our right." he shrugs.

A cultist steps forward and whispers to the leader while subtlety pointing at your ship.

"Friends, what type of fish is that in your boat?" the leader asks, pointing at the dead dragon by your feet. "We are hungry and are willing to pay if you have any to spare."

That's all we needed. Mentioning the dragon. ;)
I don't like crossing off nice items off chronicles.

"A dragon you say? It was in the cavern!?!" The leader and the cultists all gasp in shock.

The cultist's barge moves closer to get a good look at the dragon.
"That certainly is no tuna. One moment, my friends, while I confer with my brethren."

The cultists group together on their barge and whisper amongst each other, the private conversation getting heated at moments. After a couple of minutes, the leader turns to speak to you.
"My friends, you have done us a great service." he begins. "Although you have trespassed upon sacred ground, which even we are not allowed, you have vanquished an even greater trespasser; that dragon!" scowling, he points at the bloodied carcass.
"For that we are thankful for removing it from our sacred cavern. Please accept these gifts for our gratitude."
He calls over one of the cultists who drops a sack into your boat.
"We must now go to the cavern to perform our rituals. May the Deluged God bless you with safe travels upon the sea, friends."

You watch the cultists' barge head toward the cavern. They weigh anchor and begin chanting and praying while throwing offerings into the water to be carried into the grotto by the currents.

Opening the sack, you are surprised to find several wonderful items: Among a pile of shells, sea glass, and other baubles, you find a feather token (fan), a wand of alter winds (CL 4th, 6 charges), and a carved marble idol in the shape of a hurricane worth 150 gp.

You soon return to the Grinning Pixie and find Calisro Benarry waiting, with a few exhausted sailors. These are the survivors of the shipwreck, whom Benarry found in Driftport. Benarry, yourselves, and the survivors compare notes; the surviving sailors are able to verify the account of mutiny that you have discovered in Jaheem's journal. You have also found the actual source of the anomaly, and Benarry has determined that the Master of Gales has been in Port Peril on official business for several months and is therefore unlikely to be involved.
A portal of both water and air is unusual, however, and Benarry informs the Pathfinder Society so that they can send experts to further study the anomaly.

After congratulating you over a fine dinner and drinks aboard the Pixie, and praising your heroics in slaying a dragon, Benarry welcomes you to stay on board or spend some time in Driftport before making your way back to Absalom for your next mission.
