In the meantime, if you are confirmed for the table and know that you will keep the seat, feel free to fill out the Macros document linked in the campaign header.
You will select an unassigned sheet, rename the tab to your character, and fill in your character's name at the top of the sheet.
Then you can fill in the perception, initiative, saving throw, and skill information.
There is a box to check as "Send to GM" for any skills you want me to pre-roll for you in secret checks. If you do not click that, I will not know you have the skill. However, if you're particularly terrible in a skill, you may not want me to use it. Don't click the box in that case because I will use it.

I'm not 100% on which character I'll be playing yet.
My Inventor (level 5) is currently "busy" in another pbp. There's a very good chance he'll be available, but that start date looms close. I'll play him if I can, and my Summoner otherwise (he's level 4, but will level up after a real-time game before them).
Don't worry, I will get the macros and RPGChronicles filled out immediately once I've sorted that out.

Three glyphs to share. Macros complete!

GM Blake |

Welcome! Hopefully everyone is recovered from any live play they've been doing at PaizoCon.
1. Remember to select your Pathfinder School bonus item.
2. Once everyone is checked in, please hand out your GM glyphs, if any.
3. Let me know of any features/abilities that I might need to know as we move through Play-by-Post.
I'll be rolling initiatives for you and most secret checks. I'll call out where you can roll your own. You won't know about them otherwise. If you see me dropping spoilers for people in skill you have, but you didn't get one--and you clicked 'Send to GM' on the macros sheet--then it's because you failed the secret check.

3 glyphs here as well.

Liam is still busy, so I'll be playing Kaz. He just hit 5th level, but I prepared him and his eidolon in advance for that (and filled out the Macros).
Edit: Oh, and 1 Glyph. Although we already have six so that's probably moot.
Kaz will take a scroll of haste as his school item.

Just a heads up - My home internet is down ATM. I'll be posting but most likely slightly delayed and/or not as descriptive (as I'll be on a tablet with mobile internet)

GM Blake |

One more thing, please let me know if you've played this already. I'll make some rearrangements if so.

![]() |

I have not played this scenario.

This is my... 5th spin through the Grand Bazaar.
Reviewed checkboxes on chronicle sheets (no useful recollection on what order the activities were done ine)

Slide deck is up. You can place your Tokens on the first and second pages, please.
I have also linked the Hero Point tracker. Does anyone have a Campaign Coin?

GM Blake |

Here's the link (slides) for the slide deck.
I've added pictures of the characters and items on the slide deck.

![]() |

Haven't played this though I was planning to run it at some point. I started reading the scenario but never got far.
Professor Whitegourd has a campaign coin IIRC...

![]() |

I indeed have a campaign coin.
I haven't read the scenario though, so little details continue to surprise me. Also I've been accidently hit in the head enough times by my 7year old my memory isn't what it used to be.

The only thing I remember was the last encounter which had me smiling and shaking my head :)

GM Blake |

Before I forget again or the website blorts on me again, please roll a d20 for the raffle (19-20 win a gift voucher).
Raffle: 1d20 ⇒ 2

![]() |

any suggestion on magic items that could potentially improve one's charisma? I built Tiger with a 10 charisma and only increased it at 5th level -- of course, he was built as a warrior and not a diplomat! :)

The Door: 1d20 ⇒ 14

GM Blake |

@ Kaz: What's your Diplomacy modifier? Your sheet, macros, and my own calculation got +13, +15 with the bonus you earned for this encounter. You still critically succeeded with a +15, but I'm not following where we get +17. :)

![]() |

+13 base, +2 from the messenger ring Mr. Glovely lent us, +2 from the... presumably circumstance bonus granted by an earlier success?
I did note that Kaz was wearing it, though only briefly. Nobody else had mentioned it, and I figured he had pretty good Diplomacy (though possibly not the best--I didn't compare or anything).
An argument could be made that it might have served better as an equalizer for someone with medium skill, but claiming it was much easier to squeeze in than that discussion, I thought.

![]() |

It's really just the backstory I already had for him rewritten in first-person.

![]() |

Did the demon roll its Fort save against Kaz's slow spell?

GM Blake |

Oh, no. I was so busy trying to remember to do the belated Flat check on the electricity. :)
EDIT: Good shut down, there. Slow 1 for the rest of the fight most likely. I also forgot the pack tactics. Added a smidge of damage to Kaz.

I might not have internet service at home over the weekend. If I'm quiet, that's why.

GM Blake |
1 person marked this as a favorite. |

Hero Point: 1d5 ⇒ 2
Hero Point: 1d4 ⇒ 2
+1 Hero Point to Kaz
+1 Hero Point to Professor Whitegourd

Flaming sphere is indeed all or nothing. Got that from watching the Paizo liveplay during the lockdowns (Band of Bravos).
Persistent of the same type doesn't stack. You take the highest one. But you can have different persistent damage IIRC (e.g. bleed, fire, acid is possible. just not three bleeds).

GM Blake |

Flaming sphere is indeed all or nothing. Got that from watching the Paizo liveplay during the lockdowns (Band of Bravos).
It is still a basic Reflex save as stated in the spell description. There is simply a rider that a Success results in no damage instead of half. However, you still take double damage on a critical fail.

GM Blake |

Apologies for the delay. Work punched me in the face roughly 36 times since Wednesday morning.
You're at the epilogue, so I'll be reporting it very soon.

Thanks, got it now, sorry for the inconvenience.
