Congrats for making it to the game, and thank you for having great submissions. It really was hard to cut down the list, but eventually you do have to eliminate characters...

Take a post introducing yourself to one another.

As you see we have 5 characters instead of 3. I am going to run with Angus' idea with a twist. You will still have your companion NPC with you, I really did like the ties you created and I think your character wouldn't be the same without them. I need to think on how mechanically I want to work this out, but do not get rid of your NPC. Angus, keep things the same for now also.

Hey DM Joseph Rauel, thanks for the invite.

Introduce ourselves? Gosh, I've played with a couple of our fellow gamers before and in a game with Alyssa.

Hmmm, I'll try and make this short, but it's not one of my strong suits.

I've been on the boards since 2014, started playing pathfinder here. I'd played AD&D back in college in the early 80's so yeah, old guy. I'm semi-retired (My wife calls me a 'kept man') and I take care of my mom who has dementia. I'm on the boards generally from 8-5 EST, then check again a couple of times in the evening. I like to post daily, it helps me stay in the character, but I try not to post faster than the pace of the game.

As for Angus? Young, let's say 20. I like the idea of being on a 'hero's journey'. Feel free to read his backstory, it's not anything he wouldn't happily talk about.

Edit: DM JR could you open the 'game play' thread so we can dot and delete, that way the game shows on our que? Also, do you use discord channels for easier communication? It's something that some of my games use, it does make communication quicker if not easier

Hello! I have been interested in RPGs since the 80-90s (old here as well) and on the Paizo boards a while I have managed to get through a complete run of Council of Thieves and Curse of the Crimson Throne. I check on mostly in the evenings.

Hey yall, good to meet ya! And DM JR, thanks again for offering to lead this for us. I'm excited!

I've given each character at least a quick look over, and look forward to reading more, and getting to interact with yall in play.

About me
Like Angus (aka Robert), I've been roleplaying on and off since AD&D...though I had a long break from the early 90s to playing 3.5, which led me to Pathfinder. I still enjoy live gaming when I can, but I've really come to appreciate the strengths of PBP, including the ability to lean into playing characters I might not be able to pull off effectively IRL. (Nowadays when I play live it's mostly Powered by the Apocalypse games, including Avatar Legends, which my 11 year old daughter and I love to play together.

I live in California with my wife, daughter, and stubby little min-pin/chihuahua. Between work and family, I will sometimes get busy...but I love keeping games moving, and both the roleplay aspect and the stragic aspect of Pathfinder are great balances in my life...and if a rough stretch comes up and I need a bit more time to post (or I'll try to let yall know up front.

Rahaal
When you get the chance, I've got her full background, appearance, and personality–along with her stats–in my profile...but let me give a brief summary:

Storywise:
She's a fish-out-of-water, and (at least for now) a reluctant member of this expedition. To quote from

The post where I proposed her wrote:

She was born and raised in Absalom, and is a lover of city life....So why is she here? As is common for young Abadaran clerics in Absolom, Rahaal has been sent on a mission. A city person through and through, she’d hoped to be sent to an established church somewhere cosmopolitan. Instead...she’s been sent North to Restov.

(Well, at least it’s a city...of sorts. It can't be that bad, right?)

She arrived in Restov not five weeks ago and got to work helping to establish and grow the local chapel of Abadar. Four days ago, the chapel got a request to send a Cleric to join this expedition. It was a political favor that had to be responded to but none of the Clerics were actually interested. Rahaal, as the least senior, got stuck with it.

Rahaal is horrified by the idea of roughing it, but she's also nothing if not disciplined, and devoted to Abadar. Thus she finds herself in used, ill-fitting armor, heading out into the cold, buggy, Stolen Lands.

I hope that she'll be fun to explore as a fish-out-of-water urban bon-vivant...who may, slowly, start to grudgingly appreciate the natural world.

Mechanics / Party Roles:

Big picture: She's a Cleric of Abadar, with the Herald Caller archetype. In combat she'll rely on spells (buffs, summoning) and channel to debuff (since she can use to Daze foes for a round). When desperate, she'll fire her light crossbow.

A bit more detail: She's squishier than the average cleric (8 STR, 10 DEX, 12 CON, not proficient with Medium Armor or Shields) but will eventually be pretty good at summoning servants of Abadar to quell chaos and injustice. She also is a Negative channeler with the Rulership Variant Channel...which means that when living foes fail to save vs her channels they still only take 1/2 damage, but they're also Dazed for 1 round. The downside: she's mot a great healer at the moment...though I expect to memorize CLW, and expect that over time I'll try to get ahold of a wand of CLW to help patch folks up.

If there are ever spells you'd love to see from me, don't be shy!

Out of combat, she's a pretty good Diplomat, and good at Sensing Motive (+7 in each), and OK Perception/Spellcraft/K.Religion/Intimidate/Appraise (+4 in each)...but WOW, I love that Alyssa has a friggin' +14 to Diplomacy at first level!

Logistics
I'll second Angus' suggestion to open Gameplay for dot-and-delete. I love having the Campaign tab as my one-stop-shop to see if there are updates.

I'll also second his suggestion of Discord (assuming it works for others). My longest running and most involved games on the boards now also have a Discord server, and I think it helps keep us connected and things in motion. That said, I'll happily stick to just the forums if that's the group's preference.

What I'm curious about
In terms of the party, I didn't see an alignment for Alyssa or Angus (though I could've just missed it somehwere on your sheets).

This latter may be something just to learn/explore in game, but I'm also curious about everyone's characters' relationship to the gods in general, and to Abadar in particular. ;-)

Oh! And cohorts: I didn't give one too much thought yet (other than that they'd have likely also been sent along with her from the Restov chapel of Abadar). Honestly, if we have enough cohorts already with a party of 5, I don't need to have one. I could either just play exactly as she is, or take some other small boon...but I'm happy to make one too. Do yall see roles we need to fill? The only thing I think we *might* be missing is a trap-breaker...though I see that Rhiann's sister Larelle (who is CN so will definitely be fun for me to RP with) ;-) has Disable Device already, and looks like she might go toward Rogue eventually?

Hey everybody. Happy to be here.

About Me:
I've been playing since AD&D, and on the Paizo boards since the original Pathfinder Playtest. (I'm actually on a PBP game here that started 3.5, transitioned through PF playtest rules to full on PF1 ad is still going).

Due to work, circumstance (like a global pandemic) and general life and obligations, pretty much all of my gaming has been PBP for the last few years, and I've actually written a short series of articles on PBP gaming for OGN (Open Gaming Network).

In general, I have no problem posting a couple of times a day most days, since I work online (Social Media), though more of my posting will likely be in the later part of the day/very early morning.

Rhiann
She's devoted, duty driven, and dedicated to her martial training. She's extremely resilient (unbreakable archetype) and is stoic, sort of both physically and emotionally embodying the "walk it off" attitude. (not to say she can't be vulnerable around people she's come to trust).

As far as the gods, while she's very much a "make your own fate" type of person, her strong sense of community means she likely considers Erastil the deity she follows most, though she's been known to whisper a prayer to Gorum while in the heat of battle.

I do plan for Larelle to go toward Rogue.

Hello everyone! And thank you, DM Joseph Rauel for having me along!

I don't have nearly as much experience with the game as you all - I started getting into it with D&D 3.5, but always had some difficulty in getting a group going for more than some one-off games here and there. PbP seemed like the best option to get a long game going, and I joined my first one here in 2016.

As for Alyssa, she has lived in the outskirts of Brevoy, near the Stolen Lands, all her life, so she has little knowledge of city life or politics right now - probably the starkest contrast to Rahaal in our group, which should be interesting. Having lost her mother in a bandit attack, she volunteered for the expedition to try and put an end to the banditry plaguing the region, ensuring no one else has to suffer a loss like she did. But she knows that's not the only reason, there's quite a bit of anger and need for revenge mixed in as well, which clashes with her usual non-violent nature.

As for her alignment and religion, she's NG and isn't too religious. Erastil and the elven gods would be the ones she'd feel closer and more familiar with.

Nice, looks like a good group :)

Rahaal, Angus in Neutral good, he leans towards the 'green faith' mostly because that's what he thinks his fey mother practiced.

Obviously, Angus and Harbinger are frontliners. The attitude 'Jack-of-all trades, master of none' applies to his choice of weapons. It's basically a tool kit he'll use the best tool for the job.

Looking forward to gaming with you all :)

Interesting contrast, Rhiann is the other full on frontliner, but while she can easily pick up and use any weapon, she focuses on specializing with a single exotic one.

Rhiann Sokol wrote:

That works for me. I wanted to build a 'man-at-arms' that was trained with multiple weapons. Reading history it impressed me that in battles like Crecy (1346) when the 'knights' and 'men at arms' dismounted and protected the archers with polearms. Almost the opposite of the 'jousting knight' in my mind. I was like, 'That's what I want my cavalier to be like.' Willing to use whatever tool is best for the job. Not that he doesn't like killing stuff from horseback as well, Harbinger is practically a pet.

Both Rhiann and Angus seem like cool characters, and I like that they're quite different.

I'm looking forward to playing with yall!

At some point in time It dawned on me that Angus has a longsword, but the 'choice' weapon in Brevoy was the 'dueling' sword. I decided to stick with the 'long sword' its not fancy for duels and showy moves, just a tool for killing.

It would be an attitude that he learned from his 'adopted' father who was a retired man at arms who now cares for the horses, dogs and hawks at the hunting lodge.

M Human Cleric/Bard

Hey all, sorry for the delay.

As I started in the recruitment we are going through a big change at church, which is causing change for me since I work there. I hope this bumpy start doesn't discourage anyone, as you could tell from my other games I am consistent and solid.

I do like the idea of this. I have never used it before so I can jump in and check this out, I am sure it isn't anything crazy to put together.

If anyone else has some ideas like this that would make the gaming experience better I am always open to suggestion. I use google slides for maps, once things get really up and going I will have that out to you for full access to move tokens during combat.

One thing that I would love from 1 or 2 of you is to have someone step forward to run a google doc for a game journal/log, something we could call back to for reference and such. Also a google sheets to manage loot & party funds/items.

2 more simple things I would like is sleeping rotation and a marching order (single file & side by side). I know these can change depending on the situation, but it would give me a good starting point for when I have to put people on a map.

I think that is it for right now. I am really looking forward to this campaign and getting to know each of you more.

In at least half of the games I've been in I end up tracking loot, so I can definitely take care of that one.

Since spellcasters need 8 hrs uninterrupted, I'll definitely be on the middle watch. (Bonus being a human with low light vision)

Be carefull what you hope for... :)

We all get the unexpected RL stuff happening. I've another GM who's basement is flooded so he's out for a couple of days. Hopefully when the schedule and responsibilities at church settle, you'll be back to your normal posting.

Discord is easy, especially for folks who are near a computer all day, I don't know how easy it is on the phone. But I've never set one up, so no help there.

Like Rhiann, I've tracked loot on a spread sheet, so happy to help with that if they'd like. As for a game journal, what do you mean" Tracking NPC and events or what?

Also, Like Rhiann, Angus has low light vision, and is happy to take any watch. Are we doing four three hours watch?

For marching order, do we want both full BAB in front? Do we want to keep 'perception' in mind? Rahaal, Alyssa and Liz are @ + 6, Angus is + 5 and Rhiann is + 4. That's not counting perception check possibilities of Cohorts. If we're outside no reason not to be side-by-side; Mounted, Angus/Harbinger is perfect for being in the front. Do we want Rhiann in the front also, with higher perceptions second? Or someone with higher perception in front? When were inside, and more likely to be single file, I'm happy to take point, or to be near the front, or to bring up the rear if we want a rear guard. Any other opinions?

And of course, all this will change depending on what we do with cohorts. The only thing to keep in mind, we probably will not be taking Harbinger into the buildings with us. Though he will be happy to stay outside and guard your mounts.

Angus, have you set up a Discord server before? Would you want to create one for us?

If no one else can sooner, I'm happy to...but I'm about to go on a 4 day camping trip, Tues-Fri, and am busy this weekend and Monday getting ready for it, so I won't have much bandwidth before next weekend.

And DM JR, thanks for letting us know, but real life interrupting is never a worry.

When you get a chance, please just turn on the Gameplay thread (for anyone who likes to Dot-and-Delete).

Cheers to all!

I think the basic 3 watches might be ideal since with 4 hr watches it takes 2 cycles for the casters who need a full 8hrs sleep to be set.

I'm fine with either front, or rearguard, keeping the casters in the middle.

Or with five of us, five two-hour watches even? When I originally posted the watch, I didn't think about how many folks we had. With a six-person party three four-hour watches means you can have two people on each watch. Or course that doesn't apply to us.

I generally put the full BAB characters towards the front and leave the cleric or bard to guard the rear. But If folks want to be closer to the front, I'm happy to be front outside and rear inside. With Harbingers charge ability, it doesn't make sense not to take advantage of that out of doors.

DM JR did we arrive together and know each other, or is this the first time we've met? If just meeting each other for the first time, do we each have a separate charter and a list of the names of the others we'll be working with?

You are all arriving from your home destination and this is your first meeting. You know that there is a team of 5 and some might have a travel companion with them. As you respond to the game thread, that is who is there. So currently just Oleg and Svetlana.

You each have an official charter and it gives you the authority to explore and travel within the region, map out the area, and bring justice to any unrepentant banditry in the region

I think everyone is in the discord, but just incase I put it here also.

There's no real viable way to keep entange away from the stairs without the shape spell metamagic feat, and having most of the party up on the wall, especially the people with low AC's is a bad idea, since Entangled characters can still make ranged attacks (albeit with a notable penalty).

The idea was to have the party members with decent ranged attacks on the wall to shoot down, or out ant anyone able to flee. Once entangle is dropped. Angus and anyone else that wants to prepare for melee stands beyond the entanglement range to engage anyone able to push through.

Liz casting from safely inside makes sense given the range of entanglement. Anyone that needs to be closer to the enemy to cast should stay with Angus, to handle any melee threat that focuses on them.

I think I have everything right in round 1. If I missed any readied actions, please still take them.

Moving forward, if you ready an attack go ahead and do the attack/damage roles in your posting but in a spoiler box. You have my promise that I will not look at them and they won't play an impact in my decision.

also @Rhiann did have a readied action but I was not sure who she would have attacted based on "anything vaguely aggressive" so feel free to make that action

Great question, I snagged the wrong token, thank you for mentioning it. You'd think that I'd realized I had one stand out for a reason... I adjusted it accordingly. He steps forward out of the Entangle, and the other bandit still moves free from the horses moving about the courtyard.

Female Human

Hello, I'm Ventiine! I've sent a message or two to Mark. I'm happy to GM but I don't know for how long. I've always intended to run Kingmaker but I've been very cautious. My original plan was to not post recruitment until I finished my final third book for Azlant. I considered picking this table up because I dislike excluding people in recruitment.

So, I've been sitting on things I prepared over a year ago. I'll post a reduced Recruitment and Campaign Tab so you can read it over. (And if my style doesn't vibe with yours, no hard feelings.)

Full disclosure, I have taken three breaks from the forums. One was as a player (Nidhi) and the other two were during Ruins of Azlant. But, I came back and on my OG, one and only, account.

Kingmaker requires a lot of bookkeeping. This lengthy post will outline how I will run things. I am looking for players who communicate, are organized, and have patience.

Character Build (Required for submission)
➢ This is Pathfinder First Edition.
➢ 20 Point Buy.
➢ Hit Points are determined PFS style. (Max at first level, average +1 for all subsequent levels.)
➢ Average class starting gold.
➢ Use Unchained versions when applicable.
➢ 2 Traits (At least one from the Kingmaker Player's Guide.)
➢ 2 Background/Adventurer Skills. (Use the AONPRD list *here.*)
➢ Favored Class Bonus when applicable. (Extra skill point or health point.)
No Evil Alignments. (Controlling or communication with the dead is fine.)
➢ Players each get 1 Hero Point. (For use on self, familiar, or animal companion.)
➢ Additional information under the General Campaign Q&A spoiler.

Character And Player Background (Required for submission)
You may private message me your answers if you don’t want to answer them here.
① A brief description of your character’s appearance.
② Describe at least one family member, friend, or mentor of your character. (I will make them an NPC in the world. You may make or assist with the stat block if you like.)
③ Why do you (the player) want to play Kingmaker PbP?
④ What is your comfort level with Google Sheets, managing a Loot sheet, and Kingdom Sheets?
OPTIONAL FOR A BONUS 500 STARTING GOLD (In addition to your average class starting wealth.) Go through the steps of the very first Kingdom Turn Sequence and one Kingdom Turn Sequence after. You will start with 50 build points. Please look at the Campaign Info tab spoiler “Guinea Pig Kingdom Sheet” for additional info. Private message me with the link to your work and a brief explanation of what you did. Just try your best.

➢ Any extra information on how you might progress your character is appreciated.
➢ Organize your information neatly in a post or profile so it’s easy for me to read.
➢ Play a class you know or feel comfortable learning. I don’t mind answering occasional questions but I will have a lot of bookkeeping to keep track of.

About Me:

Experience. This is my second time GMing on the Paizo forums. My first game was Ruins of Azlant (Books 1-3) The purpose of GMing half of the Ruins of Azlant AP was to 1) see if I could do it, 2) get a feeling of what it takes to GM PbP
Motivation. My motivation for this campaign is to experience the Kingmaker AP, make friends, and have fun with worldbuilding. Leshys likely to be included.
Preparation. I created slides and other materials to digest the story. As we progress, I will pull from these Master Copies to blank shared documents. The blank shared documents will be linked at the top.
Please note: these are not intended for sale or redistribution. These were made with love specifically for my table. When my table concludes, they will be deleted. (This goes for my Azlant game as well.)
Kinship. I’m a pretty direct person, but I never have malicious intent. If I hurt your feelings please tell me. I don’t want you to have a bad day due to a silly misunderstanding. I expect everyone to come to the table with a teamwork-oriented outlook.
Final Notes.
1. I appreciate people taking the time to put quotation marks and bold formatting around speech. I think it makes reading easier and more fluid.
2. Include links to other online discussions when asking me for a ruling. When in doubt, go for build options that have answers. I will already have a lot of bookkeeping.

General Campaign Q&A:

➢ We are following the Kingmaker Pathfinder 1e Adventure Path books 1-6 story.
➢ This Adventure Path starts at level 1 and ends with the party leveling from 16 to 17.
➢ Pathfinder Kingmaker is a sandbox campaign.
➢ You will level up at story checkpoints. We may revisit this.
➢ CR will remain the same for 4-5 players. +1 to CR if 6.
➢ We will be using Pathfinder 1e Kingdom Building rules.
➢ We will be using Pathfinder 1e Mass Combat rules.
➢ You do not need to keep track of weight or rations unless you want to.
➢ Players may craft items or have a profession(s). See the Campaign Info tab for additional info.
No Multiclassing. (Not my cup of tea.)
No Prestige Classes. (I’m not familiar enough with it.)
No Third-Party Sources. (Try to use aonprd.)
No Elephant in the Room feat taxes. (Not my cup of tea.)
No Tech Themes or Guns. This is a “traditional” fantasy game.
No Summoners.
➢ Absolutely No Stealing for other player characters (unless agreed upon beforehand.)
➢ Absolutely No CCing other player characters (unless agreed upon beforehand.)
➢ Absolutely No Injuring other player characters (unless agreed upon beforehand.)
➢ I will be using Google Slides for combat maps so it’ll be easier if you have a computer.
➢ I don’t plan on intentionally missing any written combat encounters. (I think I’ve only missed 2 in my Azlant game.)
➢ I will adjust CR unless it is at or above party’s current.
➢ My goal is to post once or twice a day. This includes Discussion posts.
➢ Try to post once a day if you can. Discussion posts count.
➢ I require a minimum of two players in agreement to progress to another hex/room/place.
➢ Players will be responsible for managing loot.
➢ I love players who help out other players with rules questions, linking their sources.
➢ I like it when players hyperlink spells and such on their character sheet.
➢ I use prd/Nethy’s and Paizo’s books for rules clarification.
➢ I tend to avoid d20pfsrd because I have found discrepancies in the past.
➢ The party will be given a wand of cure light wounds with 50 charges at the start.
➢ Tweaks are absolutely fine until the submission deadline.
➢ I don’t want to kill your character, but monsters/certain NPCs do.
➢ I am only running one Kingmaker table with 5-6 players.
➢ I anticipate Kingmaker taking two to five years.
➢ If I make a mistake during combat, please tell me. Preferably with aonprd sources linked.
➢ If you read this far, you may have a third trait if you type owlbear on your recruitment post.
➢ When I post about a new area, I will post some, but not all, related skill rolls in spoilers. It’s the honor system. I don’t care if you look, but please don’t let it impact your character’s knowledge.
➢ I will try to pick players with varying levels of Pathfinder and PbP experience.
➢ If you are new to the forums, I recommend taking a look at Doomed Hero’s PbP Guide or some of Painlord’s guides. They articulate a lot of good points and I try to follow their tenants myself.
➢ I expect everyone to be respectful of one another. Sometimes tone is difficult to read in text, so over-communicate and use emojis when in doubt.

Bookkeeping I Will Provide To Players:

✓ I will roll Initiative and Perception checks for combat to help keep a steady pace.
✓ I will spoiler most Skill rolls when a new area is revealed to help keep a steady pace.
✓ I will be including links to images on posts for a more immersive feel.
✓ I created six visual “storybooks” (one for each book) in Google Slides that I will unveil for immersion as we progress.
✓ I have a hex map of each book (that uses hexes) I will update with each new quest area.
✓ I have a comprehensive hex map of the Stolen Lands that I will keep updated.
✓ I will keep a running list of NPCs and links to first encounter posts.
✓ I will keep a running "Master Copy" tab of loot on the Loot sheet.
✓ I will roll checks for the Kingdom Turn Sequence and maintain the Kingdom Sheet.
✓ I will provide occasional recaps with links to previous recaps.

My 7 Expectations Of Players:

① Players will try to post once a day unless on vacation/sick/hiatus. I understand life happens.
② Players will keep track of their current AC and HP. (In case I make a mistake.)
③ Players will keep track of personal gear, ammo, and spell durations. This includes bonuses to hit and damage rolls.
④ Players will move their icons on combat maps.
⑤ Players will be responsible for managing personal loot and communicating what loot they want.
⑥ Players will communicate how they want their kingdom to develop.
⑦ Players will communicate extended absences so we don’t worry about you!

ˏˋ°•*⁀➷ If You Have Additional Time * ˚ ✦
I recommend looking at the Campaign Tab where I have outlined several “How we are handling” sections on post formatting, combat, party loot, crafting, professions, kingdom building, mass combat, and purchasing limits.

Thanks!

GM Ventiine’s Cheat Sheets
Kingdom Turn Sequence
Kingdom Phases Flowchart (not mine)

Guinea Pig Kingdom Sheet:

If you are reading this, you have opted to try your hand at going through the steps of the very first Kingdom Turn Sequence and one Kingdom Turn Sequence after for a bonus 500 gold starting gold. You can make a copy of my simple Kingdom Sheet here, use a different sheet, or make your own typed outline.

The green kingdom sheet I designed assumes the party picked a location with a castle already built. I already calculated the benefits of having the castle, but you will need to do everything else, including choosing to start with 1 fame or 1 infamy (a built castle gives you 1 fame.) I also listed some NPCs on the “Leadership” tab so you won’t have to incur penalties for vacant leadership positions in your guinea pig kingdom sheet. You are encouraged to use the NPCs and/or come up with 6 random player characters for the “Leadership” area of the “Kingdom Sheet” tab. Just try your best :)

How We Are Handling Combat:

- When entering into combat, I will roll everyone’s Perception (if relevant for a Surprise Round) and everyone’s Initiative to keep the game fluid.
- Let me know if you want me to roll specific Knowledge checks on your character’s behalf when posting Initiative. I always make Knowledge rolls after Perception & Initiative rolls.
- Type bonuses in, next to, or under your attack and damage rolls.
- If you are playing a support class, include brief stats of your bonus when they are activated to remind me and others. E.g “Inspire Courage +1 competence Attack and Damage.”
- I will not GMPC your character. However, I will roll an afk player’s out-of-combat skill roll if requested by the party.
- If you have an animal companion or familiar, their current HP and AC needs to be listed with your character’s or list it in your combat round post.
- With a party of 4 or 5, I will not change CR. With a party of six, I will add +1 to CR.

How We Are Handling Party Loot:

- We will be using shared Google Sheets.
- I will try to add loot to the Google Sheet as it is acquired on a "Master Copy" tab, but ultimately it is up to the party to divvy loot.
- The following points are suggestions to the party:
- If you want to claim something, roleplay it in Gameplay or communicate in Discussion, select your character’s name from the dropdown column. Communicate.
- Consumables (wands, potions, scrolls) do not count against character wealth.
- I will assume that all items not claimed are to be sold in gold splits.
- Gold from the sale is split evenly amongst party members as follows:
Gold from sale + Player’s 1 claimed item value + P2’s +P3’s +P4’s +P5’s +P6’s = Total Party value
Total Party value / Number of players (6) = Value per player
Value per player - Player 1’s claimed item value = Player 1’s cut, etc.

How We Are Handling Crafting:

- We are following Pathfinder 1e rules for crafting.
- A week of crafting is 40 hours. When calculating hours, you may not exceed 45 hours a week on crafting.
- You cannot craft the same week you fulfill your 1-week-a-month kingdom role.
- Use Archive of Nethys for rules.

How We Are Handling Professions:

- We are following Pathfinder 1e rules for professions.
- You cannot do your profession the same week you fulfill your 1-week-a-month kingdom role.
- Use Archive of Nethys for rules.

How We Are Handling Kingdom Building:

- We are using the URule_Kingdom_Sheet, the green Kingdom Sheet I designed, or some other Kingdom Sheet but it must be on Google Sheets. It’s unlikely we’ll use every single feature as it is very detailed.
- Everyone at the table will be referencing the Kingdom Turn Sequence (link) and the Kingdom Event Phase.
- I expect all my players to read about Kingdom Turn Sequence and have a basic understanding of how things are calculated.
- I would like to implement some aspects (like Reputation and Fame) from Ultimate Campaign.
- For now, I will do the Kingdom calculations.
- For now, I will roll Kingdom checks.
- If someone wants to take over Kingdom calculation and checks, I will happily pass the baton.
- I expect players to regularly look at the Kingdom Sheet so they know what’s going on.
- Players will be responsible for making kingdom decisions.
- I require a minimum of two players in agreement for kingdom building/decisions.

How We Are Handling Mass Combat (warning: minor spoiler):

- Mass combat will be introduced in Book 4.
We will be referencing Mass Combat Rules (link)
- I will roll for your army and the enemy army unless the party wants to roll for themselves. I will always roll party first, then enemies. (Just like regular combat initiative.) I will give each phase it’s own post.
- TL;DR The basic concept is each army has a Offense Modifier (OM), a Defense Score (DS), and an Army’s Challenge Rating (ACR). Armies roll/act at the same time. Each army rolls a 1d20 and adds their OS. The army does damage to the opposing army for the amount it’s OS exceeds the opposing army’s DS. An army’s Hit Die (HD) is equal to its ACR x the average HP value of 1 HD of the army’s units. If the army’s health falls below or equal to its ACR, the commander has to pass a DC 15 morale check or the army routs. There is gear, potions, etc that you can equip your armies with. Armies can also gain special abilities.

How We Are Handling Purchasing Limits:

- I will be referencing the Settlement Stat Block
- The settlement size of locations affects the gold value of what can be bought and sold. E.g. A village, which has a population of 61-200 residents, has a purchasing limit of 2,500 gold.
- If an item is below a certain gold threshold of the settlement population, it may be purchased.
- For simplicity, I am NOT rolling percentage dice on item availability - just be mindful of the settlement stat block. This includes magic items.
- I will tell you the population/settlement size so the party will know the purchasing limit.

More Q&A:

- Roleplaying and worldbuilding are my favorite aspects of Pathfinder.
- If you have one, I would appreciate it if your profession or craft is tied into your character’s backstory.
- You can always make Knowledge or Skill rolls even if a post with Knowledge or Skill spoilers does not specifically list it. I don’t always spoiler/list all possible skill rolls.
- Sometimes while out adventuring, I will allow alternate skills rolls for a check. E.g. A Knowledge roll instead of an obscure Profession roll.
- Your character may have as many non-combat pets as you like. Your character must pay for them and have a way to take care or and feed them.
- I don't mind answering questions, but players need to be mostly self-sufficient with their character build and stats. I don’t pretend to be a rules guru.
- I like players who politely link Pathfinder 1e rules when mistakes or questions arise.
- Regarding rules, I will allow for creative damage/abilities/or skills if they are realistic to real-life. E.g. Using the cantrip Spark to light Gease on fire for 1d6 environmental damage.
- I don't expect a player to post while they are on vacation, sick, or lose internet/power. Please take care of yourself.
- I understand life can sometimes blindside you. If you need to step away from the table for a month or more, but don’t want to leave the game, communicate that to me.
- Historically, I re-recruit at the start of a new book. E.g. beginning of book 2, 3, 4, etc.

If we do this, I think a fresh restart would be best.

Hey Ventiine thanks for considering picking up the game.

We played briefly in Chainmail's Intrigue on the East Sellen River game. Sadly Kunala got killed by a bunch of orcs... Anyway, I'm stoked about playing with you again. I'm in a game with GM Euan, he speaks highly of you.

I've skimmed the above information. I'll read it in greater detail in the morning after I've had some coffee, but so far, no deal breakers. Angus is my cavalier he's fairly straightforward. I need to alter his mount back to normal, Our previous GM allowed some alterations, Harbinger is no owlbear or anything, but I will need to change him back to a 'normal' druid animal companion.

I've never played far enough into a kingmaker game to have used the Kingdom Building rules, but I may take a turn at them just for the fun of it and the extra gold of course.

Again, thanks for picking up the game I look forward to a fresh restart, just let us know where and when. If you have time to take a look at Angus, I'd be happy to answer any questions, I'll let you know when I have he and Harbinger altered to your specifications.

Rhiann here (Mark). Happy to be on board. Thank you for being willing to take this on, definitely looking forward to a fresh start and will get to modifying my character to your specs.

Female Human

If we have spots because my playstyle doesn't vibe with someone, I plan on asking my Azlant table if someone wants to join.

I will create the table when I get off work.

Thank you for considering taking up the game. I've gone through all your post and I have no issue with any of it. I'll try to have Alyssa updated to the new rules as soon as possible. I do have some questions regarding your plans for the NPCs:

- Alyssa's concept assumed she would have Nadyra with her always, as she was originally a Fey Caller Summoner, and DM Joseph's "Free Leadership rule" let me keep that intact for this game. As neither of those are an option this time, I'd like to get an idea on how Nadyra would fit into the game, to rework Alyssa's backstory for it to make more sense (The simplest option I'm thinking of is simply having Nadyra return to her ward after Alyssa was able to take care of herself - which also gives Alyssa one more reason to want to head deeper into the Stolen Lands).

- Alyssa's father was supposed to be an important NPC as well, but details were purposefully left up to the GM, as Alyssa has no knowledge about him apart from his letters to her mother. I am fine keeping it that way, but can also come up with a detailed concept if that's what you prefer.

I'll get Alyssa updated to your rules (shouldn't be an owlbear sized task, the build changes should be easy enough), and then try to have a look at the Kingdom Sheet if I can.

Rhiann Female Human Fighter (Unbreakable) 1 | 12/12 HP | AC 17 T 13 FF 14 | Fort +5 (+9 nonlethal environmental) Ref +4 Will +2 | Initiative +3 | Perception +1, Sense Motive +1| low-light vision

I've updated Rhiann (also switched her preferred weapon and fighting style, and updated her backstory). Her father and sister are both potential NPC options, and I've included a stat block for her sister that can come into play later.

I'm probably planning on her taking leadership later on anyway, so Larelle may be her cohort in that respect (she'd likely send for her family to come to the newly formed kingdom once that happens).

As far as character progression, probably taking feats to enhance the use of her fauchard, including improving combat maneuvers and attacks of opportunity, with Weapon trick likely being my level 2 feat to provide options using her reach weapon up close, as well as better options for tripping.

Both included in character sheet
③ Why do you (the player) want to play Kingmaker PbP?
The idea of settling an area, adventuring and building a kingdom with others as a cooperative effort is appealing.
④ What is your comfort level with Google Sheets, managing a Loot sheet, and Kingdom Sheets?
I quite often end up being the one managing loot in games I'm in, and I'm willing to give the Kingdom sheets a shot
