Aukan moved up 10 feet, quietly wading through the tall grass barely seeing anything. Alexandria falls like comet onto the Golden Ram. Djyn floats around making bubbles.

Vivi can move or cast command in surprise round. Vivi tromps.through the high grass obviously not sneaking. She sneakily moves forward creeping towards the prey though she steps on some dry grass making a bit of noise. Ala'lhys stalks forward too.

The Ram bleats in pain and moves away from Alexandria for 40 feet.
Nima quietly follows Aukan. Davod stalks forward.

Seeing Vivi walk forward not attempting at stealth his brows furrow in frustration but hearing Alexandria he quickly moves out of the tall grass towards her. He likely gets just past her.

Seeing the others move in to attack, Ala'Ihys increases his speed, moving through the tall grass. As he nears the creature he plants his feet bringing his bow up, quickly drawing and firing two arrows.

Davod continues forward until he's upon the Golden Ram.
Stealth: 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (2) + 16 = 18 Hopefully, the suli was quiet enough, among all the attacks to remain hidden. Davod closes on the ram's flank and attacks.

Round 1

The arrows from Ala’Ihys hits the creatures fleece but does not appear to do any damage as there is no sign of blood.

Davod does his best at staying stealthy, decreasing movement, he moves forward 30 feet sticking to what cover he can find. He is now 170 feet from the Golden Ram as it bounds away.

Vivi is no where near in order to cast command on it and instead just moves forward.

The roper is still in the tall grass.

Aukan calls, "Hey carpet can I get a ride." If it comes over he takes a move action to get on.

Davod nods up at Carpet to get Aukan. The suli understands the need for stealth is over, so the thief runs to close with the Golden Ram.

Frowning when he realized his arrows did nearly no damage, Ala'Ihys Remembers Oolong had told them either cold iron or adamantium weapons would work best. Kicking himself for not thinking of it earlier, he has a quiver of cold iron arrows on his saddle bow. Looked to the sky and whistled for Khamsin then continues moving towards the Ram.

Move action to stop and whistle, move towards ram. Sadly, the time it takes for the trait's blood steed to arrive is typically 1d6 minutes. Any chance he can arrive sooner?

Khamsin was indeed circling in a very long radius but at the call of its master, he dives. Round 3 he lands beside Ala'lhys, allowing him to collect what he wishes on Round 3.

Carpet takes on Aukan and shoots forward at an alarming speed stopping on the far side of the Ram.

Carpet uses his transposition ring to switch places with Davod.

She charges the Ram again, striking it with her glaive!

He thanks Carpet, "Thank you kindly!" With a quick hop and a step he swings at the Golden Ram with his sword of slaying.

He charges the golden ram, hitting the tough hide but not solidly connecting.

The Golden Ram continues to retreat, jumping clear of Aukan to the side and taking AoO from Aukan as the ram runs from Alexandria.

Round 4
The ram is taken down but another one spawns 100 feet to the North. A whisp of a voice states, "I shall recall my special blessings upon the Golden Ram. Hunt it again to gain your horns without the aid of your powerful friend."

With that said Alexandria disappears in a dust cloud with only the golden fleece left behind. Aukan's blade is also missing. He grumbles and pulls out a backup weapon.

The Golden Ram does not even appear to be aware of you or that you had just killed it.

Out of combat. Time to strategize!

Round 4

"Lady Pharos!!" Davod exclaims as she disappears, looking up to the sky. "You bastards! If you are as powerful as you say, you knew Pharos was among our party. You cheat!! BRING HER BACK!!"

His venting complete, Davod takes a moment to angrily pack the golden fleece in his backpack. Carpet cautiously floats by. The thief stops and pets the intelligent magical item. "Good job, Carpet."

Out of combat. Time to strategize!

Seeing Khamsin approaching, Ala'Ihys watches as the Pharos and Aukan quickly dispatch the ram. Raising an eyebrow as Pharos disappears, he assumes by Davod's exclamation that this sort of thing doesn't happen a lot.

As the Pegasus lands, instead of swapping quivers, Ala'Ihys mounts and rides over to where the others have gathered to strategize. Asking. "Should we hunt from the air and the ground, keeping the creature centrally located?"

The voice whispers on the wind again, in response to Davod, "Show us your cunning and skill. When the hunt is done your ally and the blade shall be returned."

Carpet wags his tassels to show his appreciation of the rub and acknowledgement. He also switches out your rings once more.

She waves for everyone to come to her, as she is now in the middle of everyone mostly. When Davod and Aukan reach her they walk back towards the rest of the group. With a conniving smile she offers with deadly seriousness, "Okay team it is time to truly hunt this thing the right way. I need someone to talk with the Roper to find out what the Ram likes to eat. We make traps. Lure the beast in and have the roper begin the assult, drawing the ram towards us. What other ideas do you have to add to our hunt? Look at the Ram it is just standing there and eating berries. OOOohhh what if we draw some of those crabs to fight it for us?" She continues to spout out ideas, getting more and more far fetched.

Nima shrugs her shoulders and offers, "I will bring the Roper."

Moving towards Sasha with Davod and Aukan, Ala'Ihys listened as she spelled out her plan. Having grown up in the desert amongst a 'horse-clan' he'd learned to hunt with a bow from horse back, but he'd never learned to used baited traps. As he considered the plan, he wasn't sure what the difference was between Pharos and Aukan killing the creature or the Roper killing it.

Remembering he was just here to protect the travelers, Ala'Ihys gives a mental shrug and turns Khamsin towards Nima, asking her. "May I accompany you?" Offering her a hand up to ride. "Would you like a ride?"

Still upset Pharos was taken from them, Davod decides to vent his frustration on the ram. "I shall stalk it", the suli spoke menacingly.

With a bit of reddening on her cheeks, she politely says, "Yes, that would be nice." She takes his hand and with his help gets onto Khamsin behind Ala'lhys.

Ouch, I didnt get any notification from this campaign again.

Show cunning? Hmm, I kind of went Gorrum rather then well, Shadow and Stealth recently but...

Seems it can teleport, and we dont got any dimensional anchoring ready? Meaning we need to stop it from using that. Somehow. Not much of a grapple specialist myself, but some cold iron or lead lined nets could perhaps be made.

She points out with a discerning eye, "If it could teleport then why did it run from us at the start and not just teleport. I believe we slew it... then it was brought back somehow. If we can believe the words on the wind, then it should be an easier hunt. You got the skills to make cold iron or lead lined nets? I was thinking about things we could do, we could dig trenches. What do you think?"

Offering Nima a hand up into the saddle behind him, Ala'Ihys turns listening to the conversation between Varvara and Sasha. "I've got cold iron arrows, trenches would take a long time and we don't know it's ability to jump. What if some of us hunt it from the air, driving it towards those on the ground?"

"That sounds like a good strategy", the suli admits. "I'm a city boy. What do I know of the wilds? Hopefully 'our hosts' do not think it 'cheating' if some of us fly to driving the ram into our position", Davod crosses his fingers, and sends a prayer to Desna.

Her strategizing mind whirling she agrees with the plan in a genuine way, "I think if that was the case Davod our 'hosts' would have taken Carpet and Khasim. Since they are still here and without shovels to make the trenchmaking effective. I agree with Alayhs's plan. The Roper, myself and Aukan will spread out and wait in the tall grass."

Nodding as Davod and Sasha agree, Ala'Ihys takes a moment looking for a good place to take cover. Pointing toward some nearby scrub, he asks, "Maybe wait in the high grass?"

Turning Khamsin with his knees, he horse gives a light nicker as he asks Nima, "How close does Khamsin need to get to the ram for you to be able to use spells?"

After Nima answers he looks to Davod, gesturing towards the west and looping around further to the north, "We'll loop west, north of the ram and attack from the northwestern side, if you attack from the north eastern side, we should be able to push it his way." As he clicks his tounge at Khamsin, he turns his head towards Nima, "You should hold on to my waist."

Davod nods at the pegasus rider, then nods to Sasha. The suli retreats into the tall grass and disappears.

She says with a bit of trepidation, "My Fire Bolt can target any single foe within 30 feet. Most of my spells are devoted to healing or remedying the group."

She holds onto Ala'lhys waist with a firm grasp from both arms.

Hearing Varvara's comment on distraction or bait, Ala'Ihys shakes his head. "The ram is a herbivore so bait will have the opposite effect. Just wait until we drive the ram towards you." Feeling Nima's firm grip, he tells his horse, "You heard her Khamsin, we will get to about thirty feet from the ram before we open fire."

He looks towards Davod, "I hope thirty feet works for you, since we'll be in the air I doubt if it will notice us even that close." Touching Khamsin's sides with his heals, the Pegasus takes off towards the west.

"Thirty-feet is sounds, Friend Ala'lhys", Davod answers from the tall grass. "Desna, and other parties, be with us!!" The suli, ever the diplomat.

Carpet flies near Ala'yhs and waves a tassel at him before swooping off to the other side waiting for your attacks.

Once within 30 feet of the Ram she releases her first fire shot.

Hovering near the Ram Nima likely releases five shots to no avail. The Ram just continues to munch on grass. It is obviously used to being attacked and taking no damage.

Ala’Ihys, will you be able to hurt it?

As Khamsin, banks from the northwest, Ala'Ihys hopes Davod is in position. Guiding the Pegasus with his knees, he realizes that his method of guidance was for the ground, two dimensional, not the air, three dimensional; and that Khamsin was following the plan sans his direction. Smiling at what the 'ugly' grey horse had become, Ala'Ihys drew two cold iron arrows from the saddle quiver and watched Nima attack. Raising an eyebrow as the Ram kept eating, Using his innate bane ability he quickly fires the two durable cold iron arrows at the Ram.

At the pain of the second round, combat begins. That was surprise actions. Simple init, you go first, then the enemy.

Having realized that Khamsin is much more intelligent than he was as a horse, Ala'Ihys is not surprised when the Pegasus hovers there. Adding to the plan, whinnying loudly attempting to spook the Ram, as Ala'Ihys joins his voice with his mounts. "Aaagggghhhhh! Run Away you daft beast!" Quickly drawing two more cold iron arrows he quickly fires them at the golden ram.

The ram leaps forth and double move away from khamsin. Carpet comes barreling at the ram to veer it more to the right, then banks left.

Furrowing his brow as the ram runs straight, Ala'Ihys see's the carpet come in and 'push' the ram the direction they want it to go. Calling out "Well done Carpet!" as Khamsin follows behind the ram keeping between twenty and thirty foot, keeping a steady platform for Ala'Ihys to shoot. Making a mental note to return and fetch the expensive elvish arrow, he draws two more of the cold iron arrows from his saddle quiver and quickly fires them.

Smiling as the ram headed toward where the others were waiting, Ala'Ihys let's Khamsin worry about 'pushing' the ram forwards while he focuses on bringing it down. Continuing to draw the cold iron arrows from his saddle quiver he continues firing at the fleeing ram.
