While Charlies struggles to hold his breath, Estes steps forward and give Yellow a taste of his wing bludgeoning. An angel of few words, he instructs the others to deal with whatever they need to deal with while he finishes off the snake. "I'll take care of these snakes. Do what you need to do with those things." he instructs the others.

Estes makes way for Charlies after he fails to disable the haunted bucket while Charlies proceeds next to the bucket despite the feeling he is drowning.

Quetzahl kicks the bucket over as Fran is able to overppower the spirits and end the deadly haunt. Ra'uf and Charlies gasp for air as they are suddenly able to breath again.

Reaching down you are finally able to gather up the key ring attached to the housekeeper's belt.

Out of Combat, what next?

"My skills will not work here!" Ekaterina exclaims in dismay at her realizing she had not kept up her religious studies.

The Haunt and buckets are all dealt with. You are out of combat.

"Y'all okay?" Jack♢ quickly inspects the condition of the other agents. Fortunately it seems the group survived with barely any harm, so the gambler allows himself to relax a bit, and goes back to shuffling a deck of cards. "Bit of a weird game, that one. Getting tired of being the big blind."

"Think there's still one room on this floor. Then let's head upstairs, 'kay?"

Jack opens the door to the pantry. A simple, well-stocked pantry is crammed with sacks of flour and barrels of fruits and pickled vegetables. Thick ropes of sausage links hang from brass hooks on the walls. This windowless room is completely dark.

Charlies gasps for air after the sensation of drowning is gone. He collapses to the ground kneeling, as he tries to catch his breath. He can't grasp it around his head that he can get drowned even out of the water, now that he is out of the situation. Estes helps him get up and be back on his feet.

"I think I'm okay, thanks." he assures the angel to assuage his worry.

Estes finds nothing peculiar inside the windowless room even the fact that he can see in the dark.

Charlies activates his wayfinder to shed light on the surrounding of the dark windowless room. "There is no exit here. No windows."

Fran notices that the room is used to house food. She lights her Wayfinder as well.

Nothing in the pantry catches the so-called acquisition expert's curiosity, so he begins walking towards the stairs.

"Hey everyone, there's some tracks in the flour. I think it's from a... well, a something."

The druid is looking for something in the room.

Several of you find the tracks but cant quite figure out what from. With this floor cleared you head up the spiral staircase to the second floor.

This shadowy corridor winds its way throughout the trading post’s upper level. Framed paintings on the walls and worn marble statues transform the hallway into an art gallery, though the area is shrouded in darkness, making it difficult to view the eclectic collection. Wooden doors line the hallway, leading to private quarters where Annavinia retreated to after the sence and Kellvan should be resting for the evening as he never came down for dinner.

Charlies takes a quick look of the tracks the others found to see if it is something he recognize before they head towards the second floor.

Charlies recognizes the tracks as those of am Imp.

Perception: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (19) + 10 = 29

"Hmmm...what is this?" Ekaterina as she notices the tracks on the floor. The witch follows the others as the group ascends the stairs. She casts Light to give the group better visibility.

Fran pulls out a hatchet and keeps her buckler raised in case something jumps out at the group.

The druid raises his shield and waits.

Nothing immediately jumps out at you.

There are lots of doors at your choosing.

Jack♢, perhaps by following his gambler's intuition, chooses the door immediately across the staircase.

Jack heads towards the door as he hears heavy bootsteps coming up the stairs. The dwarf and groundskeeper of this Lodge looks curiously at you. "That be my room. No need to go in there." He says gruffly.

"Any reason why not?" Fran asks, equally gruffly.

"Because it's my damned room and I am running this place." He says with a little bit of anger in his voice. "This place has been running fine for years now and when these new visitors show up is when this all happens. Go check there rooms." He waves you off.

Jack♢ exchanges a few meaningful glances with the other agents, as if trying to nonverbally convey some secret message. "'Course, pal," he says to Nordvick, a slight smirk on his face. "Gotta respect privacy an' all that. We'll play fair."

At some point, when the group has moved on to the other rooms, Jack♢ discreetly shifts the general attention away from himself, and slinks back to the groundskeper's quarters.

While they make a small heated argument with the groundskeeper, Charlies and Estes proceed to the next door closest to them, and Charlies lets Estes open it. "Let's keep checking the rooms. The sooner we leave, the better."

This guest room is locked, but using the housekeeper's keys unlocks the room. You open the door to Dehliana’s Quarters. This room is furnished with sturdy wooden chests for personal belongings, a porcelain wash basin and mirror, and a feather bed piled high with threadbare quilts.

DC 18 Perception: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (20) + 8 = 28

Charlies gets inside the room and searches around inside it. He discovers a loose floorboard near the foot of the bed that conceals a cramped crawl space. He carefully removes the loose floorboard and inside he finds a bloody dagger, a Razmiran mask and a Type 1 Bag of Holding that contains lots of coins. He brings them out of the room and gets back to the others. "Hey, everyone. I found something. What suspicious to me is this bloody dagger and this Razmiran mask." He then turns to the housekeeper, "Whose room is this, you say? Dehliana's? Why does she have these?"

"Maybe she sacrificed a chicken to Razmir?" Ekaterina answers with a small, wavering smile.

"Razmirans. I'm always cleaning up their messes."

Ra'uf helped build a lodge in Razmir many moons ago.

Ra'uf goes aroud the corner and checks the first door he finds.

You unlock the door to Annavinia’s room. Inside the room you see Annavinia sitting on the bed and holding what looks like a diary. She looks up at the door as it bursts open but is not entirely surprised, "Well, uh, I needed to come here to collect my thoughts." Next to the bed there are documents written in a language that no one seems to recognize and Annavinia seems much more calm and collected than earlier when she was last seen.

"You sure recovered pretty fast for a panicked to calm." Ekaterina gives Annavinia a suspicious look. She must have been acting earlier. the witch thinks to herself as her hand moves closer to her wordreaper.

I believe Fran is still holding an axe

"So whatcha doin' here? As my friend says, you seem to have recovered quite quickly."

Perc +7 to Sense Motive

"I just needed some time to myself. It got quite scary down there. Are we able to leave now?"

Francine can see that she is quite nervous and seems to be hiding something as she clutches her diary closely.

"I think you know something that might be related on what is happening now." Charlies stares at the diary she is clutching and back to her. "We haven't found a way out and if you know anything, please tell us now or we all get stuck here, you know."

"Is there anything you'd like to tell us about this place? Ya seem to know about what's goin' on here."
