Loompecker joins Guiseppino at the scrolls. He looks around and finds a Scroll of Remove Fear.
Gallus heads over to the weapons shelf. In a dusty corner of the shelves he finds a beautifully forged flail. The Elven runes on the handle signify that it is a +1 Striking Flail.

aWell a new scroll. That’s fine. Let’s see what I find next.
He stores the scroll to be able to retrieve it and is ready to search further.

Gallus handles the flail with a little bit of awe. "Beautiful craftsmanship. And the rune work is beyond reproach. Perhaps someone with a more martial bent would like to use this? Just...do be sure to respect such an art piece, please."
Gallus will hand the flail to the first party member who would take it that is proficient with martial weapons.

Bakunawan has a look in the weapons shelves as well. He finds what appears to be an old mop handle. But closer inspection shows dwarven runes inscribed along the shaft. The staff turns out to be a +1 Quarterstaff.

Biglock shouts, "It's too late! She's here! This is bad!" The shard, hovering near the amassed treasures, twists and warps, taking on the familiar form of Aslynn and her cauldron. "Your plan to kill me? So brave, so bold. And yet, it matters not. Behold!" She plunges an oozing claw into the pile and brandishes a jeweled chalice. "Boundless wonder called to me. And I respond with nightmares three! Three children of my last thirteen shall join me in an endless dream. A realm where you shall vex me not—a realm where you shall be forgot! Destroy me here, but at what cost? You fight in vain, for all is lost!" Cackling with glee, Aslynn watches as the chalice brims with swirling magical liquid. She inhales deeply, then empties the chalice into her cauldron. A fuming creature boils forth, and Aslynn commands, "Kill the Pathfinders! And should they survive, let this be the first of their boundless nightmares!"
The smelly, twisted creatures emerging from her cauldron vaguely resembles large skunks.
A skunk with a Yellow streak walks up to Maram and attempts to bite him.

COMBAT OVER
Suddenly the door to the Vault bangs open and Zarta Dralneen rushes into the vault along with Society leaders Ambrus Valsin, Eando Kline, Eliza Petulengro, Fola Barun, and Calisro Benarry. They look ready to fight, and they're quite impressed by your handling of the situation.
"What happened here?! Zarta demands.
We are in the tidying up phase. If you want your downtime to be part of your chronicle, please go ahead and roll them in the discussion thread.

![]() |

Zarta looks impatiently at you.
"Well? Can anyone tell me what just happened here?"
Ambrus Valsin rushes over to where Loompecker is lying. Summoning help to carry the orc to the infirmary, Loompecker is healed and back on his feet in no time.

![]() |

Once healed the orc take the lead: Well we began to inventory the items but we were attacked by some nightmarish creatures. After the fight we couldn’t get out from here anymore. We continued our job but we were attacked again. Further we found Biglock and Mr Glovely before a hag called Aslynn came here. This is this creature who used an illegal trick to take me down.
Then he lets the others say something as well.
It’s voluntary that I don’t report everything to let the place for the other characters.

"Sad to report there were no magical sandwich makers in the included inventory, though I did find a recipe for a roasted tyrannical pheasant with calypso fig spread sandwich that I really do want to try."
"Oh yes, the hag. Said something about thee of her kids making a ruckus. And escaping to another realm. And more to come, yeah? She sounded a bit miffed. Now she could probably use a good sandwich! I get a little cranky myself when I get hungry."

They gather reports from you, Rain and Biglock, then meet back in the vault a few hours later.
Zarta turns the chalice over multiple times, trying to see if she can get any of the magic liquid to appear. When everyone has finally gathered for the debrief, she says, "Well, I'm still not sure what this is, but all your reports are consistent. It's obviously a central piece of Aslynn's plan. In a way, it's a good thing that shard of her mind infiltrated our vaults, as it's allowed us to understand a few things we might have otherwise missed! I wish we could've learned about this without putting your lives in danger, and for that, I apologize. I hope you're ready for more adventures. We've just scratched the surface of the vault's contents, and we need to act fast to learn more about some of these items. One thing is certain: we can't leave everything here and wait around for Aslynn to strike again."
The faction leaders quickly fall into a heated discussion over the best approach to the items—it's clear that they don't see eye to eye, but they all agree that they'll need to work together for the sake of the Society's future! While the Society's leaders argue, Biglock gives you a smug grin. "Nice work. Hey—Zarta is pretty great. She says Mr. Glovely and I don't have to stick around this dusty vault! Don't worry, though. We'll be in touch. I've got a few schemes in mind. When I'm done making arrangements, Mr. Glovely will come calling!"
END OF SCENARIO

Bakunawan picks up the throwing knives and other things into his pouch. My friends, just as every beginning has an ending, the adventure we started together will now draw to a close. But the experience will be remembered in our minds and the friendship knitted in our hearts forever and ever. Now is the time to tie the loose ends and take a sabbatical rest. For now, let's recover our strength and renew the spirit. For now, let's enjoy the silent pause between songs.
Then Bakunawan step behind the wind then fades into the darkness.
