GM Doug H |

Hey there!,
Happy to run this! If you haven't played with me before, please take a moment to glance at my GM profile to review style and expectations; it's mostly standard stuff.

1. Sign in on RPG Chronicles for chronicle generation and reporting.
2. Put your token on the maps & character reference slides.
3. Enter your Perception, default Exploration Activity, and any secret rolls you want me making for you on the macros sheets. There is an example sheet in there too.
I will be tracking hero points with a Spreadsheet — please note in the discussion here if you have a campaign coin and who you're giving any glyph hero points to.
Let me know if you need help with anything.

The big goblin grumbles, "Fahn, done. Datwas a gud nap ya intrupted."
I haven't played much pfs2 in a while. They got rid of boon slotting, right? Does one just get constant access to any boons one has? I do have the Convention Hero Boon which grants me an extra Hero Point during a Convention.

Hey folks, just to get it out of the way, I have one glyph. I will give extra hero point to the lower lvl character
Awesome to be playing at your table DougH!

Yeah it's all AcP and constant now, Bair Mann.
Great to see you Makai!
Fafrd the Grey (signed up but not dotted in on discussion) has 4 glyphs; we will likely end up with 6 to pass around!
I saw you and Bair filled out the macros, slides, and signed in already — thank you!

GM Doug H |

We satart Mar 6 at midnight GMT (4PM Sunday PST).
Everyone ready?
I noticed at least two people need to sign in and fill in their paperwork.

GM Doug H |

I know Fafrd has 4 glyphs and a campaign coin. I think Iarann has two see we're good to go on starting with 2 hero points each. tracker here.
If you have a campaign coin click the dropdown next to your name on the right.

GM Doug H |

Couple of players signing in. This special has a special challenge rating system that's basically its own half-tier; here's the breakdown:
Bair Mann: Level 8 (3 chp)
Fafrd Level 8 (3 chp)
Iarann Level 8 (3 chp)
Makai Level 7 (2 chp)
Morgan Level 7 (2 chp)
Ilmakis Level 7 (2 chp)
-----------
Challenge Points: 15
We kick off in under 24 hours. This is a globally-dispersed group so we will keep that in mind while pushing forward.

![]() |

I have a campaign coin and 4 glyphs (as the GM has noted)
It looks like Fafrd will be using his bow more than his blades with this group, which is fine.

![]() |

Reminder to everyone... Fafrd has Scout's Warning, so we all get a +1 init bonus without someone having to take the Scout exploration activity. Please do add that to your initiative bonuses!

GM Doug H |

Couple things going on, sorry for the monster post.
TL;DR:
⠀➤ Each PC can choose rewards (and as a group, choose a survey map too).
⠀➤You should also boost an aid token with a skill check. Only one PC can do this but just go for it if you're so moved.

![]() |

Please do not walk around with weapons drawn at all times.
I would like to be able to to potentially diffuse some situations with talking and the like before everything goes to combat. Having your weapons drawn will make this all but impossible.

GM Doug H |

Bair you got in before my update; I moved you back and you can redo your turn.
Now that this creature's annoying surprise has been revealed, please assume each cat will use their reaction on the first time it's hit; it's a once-a-day ability.
______
I am ok with people walking with weapons out and not having it affect potential diplomacies, you can narratively sheath them when meeting anyone who isn't going to fight, and vice versa. (Or a cinematic moment to draw weapons when combat begins if you prefer.)
If it will be an issue at any point, I will drop a clear narrative hint in advance so you can make an informed character decision.
Edit: There may be cases where weapons are not drawn too. I will make that lear as well.

GM Doug H |

Token added to slides. I will delete it after you guys use it.

GM Doug H |

Feel free to pre roll reactions like AOOs in a spoiler. Otherwise I will roll them (thank youfor profile macros!) in the order they occur.

GM Doug H |

While you guys wrap this encounter up, think about where to next…
Encounter Areas:
⠀➤ A. The Mushroom Ring — COMPLETE soon
⠀➤ B. It Talks!
⠀➤ C. Befuddled pathfinders (Cliff Map)
⠀➤ D. Murderous Plants
⠀➤ E. Chart a Course
⠀➤ F. Disguised Forces

![]() |

I vote C, since we have the map.

Done deal!
I propose we use the token and send it to go further, most of us miss some hp
You can't pass on tokens you've received, you use them and they're gone.
You can boost one of your team's tokens and pass one of those along at any time.
Basically you have 2 sets of tokens: ones to pass, and ones to use.
The module says you have unlimited time between encounters, so I will be assuming you can heal up between encounters without needing to use tokens or spells.

GM Doug H |

We have begun C.

GM Doug H |

Where to next? You guys are on a tear!

@Fafrd — noted the boost, looking at tho to pass it to.

It talks! - when in doubt go from the top?

![]() |

I'll second that

GM Doug H |

I'll move us there in a couple hours.

GM Doug H |

GHero point to Fafrd for disabling shrooms. Last time I ran this there were 4+ kitties on the map at once, into round 7 and it was… not pretty. You made it look easy even with Morgan's awful luck.

Thanks
One of the few times his skill in thievery has come up!
Was fun to get to use it, when the character(s) he is based on are both thieves.

PLAAAAANTS
I think we need a good tussle, all this talking is giving Bair heartburn. :D

![]() |

Sure, who doesn't want some murderous plants?

GM Doug H |

Done deal.

GM Doug H |

Handed out to burst of healing token you boosted and removed from slide.

GM Doug H |

Big post. Four things:
⠀1. I mixed up bush #1 and #2 on the init block, rectified that and I don't think it will make a huge difference so going with it. Hope no one minds.
⠀2. Makai: you can have a second attack if you want. You were warned there were plants around here ambushing you so you shuld have your weapon out.
⠀3. For those grabbed by creatures with long reach: Sise, Space, and Reach optionally allows you to attack the appendage attacking you. I allow this.
⠀4. I will be out for the next 5-6 hours, so I can't make any large posts till then but will try to keep it rolling on mobile if I can.

GM Doug H |

@GM with their save roll, isn't that a crit fail against my DC25? (taking twice the damage)
I just rolled blank d20s without revealing the creature's modifiers. They both failed but not crit failed as with the modifiers the results are > 15.
I honestly go back and forth but lately, I don't like to outright reveal enemy save modifiers.
I edited the post to make it more clear.

GM Doug H |

Bair,
What’s the fort save for? Apologies if something in my init block is confusing. There is a lot to track but you only got grabbed and shrieked at.
Edir: Ahh my bad, trying to shake it off. All good

GM Doug H |

You can only pass one per part. Probably best to boost before passing.

![]() |

We can boost at any time, just cannot pass?
Right?
GM Doug H |

I would prefer we boost close to when we pass. Barring that roll them all here in the ooc in your next post so we can keep it consistent.

GM Doug H |

You might be wrapping this up today. Where to next? You would have "Chart a course" and "Disguised forces" left. The latter is combat, the former is skill checks.

![]() |

Chart a course? - I don't mind skill checks
