Ears settles down to examine Yichen's float, although he casts envious glances at the skittermander's float with a cannon and fireworks.

"Looks like they originally intended for the center platform to rotate. It's be easy enough to rig a belt to take power off the drive axle and spin her up while the float is moving. I'll get on it."

Both Misty and Ears also succeed. With all those successes the float is complete and fully functional.

As you finish repairs on the Jeweled Flower, the magitech projector on the neighboring castle float malfunctions, flying loose from the float and causing a hologram of a jester to become violent. The Sparklors, including Olive, Violet, and Yichen, flee the garage, leaving you to stop the malfunctioning contraptions before both floats are destroyed!

The garage is brightly lit with 20-foot-high ceilings. The doors in the east and west walls are closed but the garage door in the building’s south wall is open to the street. Outside, the parade route is free of spectators and dimly lit by colorful lights.

She draws her gun and moves carefully towards the bizarre projection. "That's impossible, so I guess it was inevitable. The jester's just an image, focus on the machine!"

Ears takes his pistol in a double-handed grip, steps as close as he dares and blasts the projector.

arc pistol, static v EAC, get'em, supercharged: 1d20 + 5 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 5 + 1 = 12 ... damage: 1d6 + 1 + 4d6 ⇒ (2) + 1 + (4, 1, 2, 1) = 11 critical Arc 2; Stun

OK, I don't care if I have a better shooting modifier. I'm getting behind Speaker and charging him.

Ears misses, Speaker hits ((Projector: -31))

Misty is trying to get behind it with a screwdriver in one appendage.

The projector fires at Speaker
flare gun: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (13) + 10 = 23 fire: 1d3 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4

Cha'mon is up followed by the Jester.

Cha'mon Cha'mon, uses the wireless telemetry in his plasma guide rifle to aim past the jester and fire on the projector again. Negates any cover bonus provided by the Jester being in Cha'mon's firing line.

Cha'mon Cha'mon just hits it and that is enough to send the projector clattering to the floor. The hologram jester disappears. As soon as it hits the ground, Misty starts taking the covers off.

The sparklors that fled the garage cautiously come back in. You also discover the following useful items: a diffuse hardlight hand wrap and a set of tactical tetrad rings.

Cursed is right Misty squeaks. It's Data Scourge tech.

Violet and Olive just look at each other. We scavenged it off this black and yellow crab like robot we found in a dumpster. Saved us a trip down to BotScrap

Yitchen steps up. Can one of you please drive the float? I can't operate it on my own. Te rest of you can ... erm ... do what you like to entertain the crowd, throwing candy, dancing, controlling the animatronics, whatever you think will help. I'll be on the daisy with the hoverboard.

The driver rolls a Piloting check, anyone else rolls whatever they think is appropriate. Items, abilities, or spells to enhance performances grant bonuses.
