Navasi - Fail
Speaker - Fail
Ears - Fail
Chamon - Pass
Morvruul - Fail
Misty - Pass

Those that fail; are dazed for a round.

Initiatives:
Cha'mon: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (2) + 11 = 13
Ears: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (9) + 6 = 15
Misty: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (9) + 4 = 13
Morvruul: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (9) + 4 = 13
Navasi: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (20) + 2 = 22
Speaker: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (14) + 2 = 16

Things you can do: - remember, all movement inside the warehouse is affected as difficult terrain.

Fire Extinguisher: There are two fully charged fire extinguishers in the hall outside Dot’s storage unit, as marked on the map. A PC using a fire extinguisher can automatically extinguish 1 burning square as a Standard action or 2 adjacent burning squares as a Full action, with a usage of 1/round as normal.

Water: A PC who throws 1 bulk of water on the fire automatically extinguishes 1 burning square as a Standard action.

Athletics: A PC who succeeds at an Athletics check uses blankets and other objects from the room to smother 1 adjacent burning square.

Computers: There are two nonfunctioning fire suppression nozzles in the ceiling, one in each half of the storage unit. A PC who succeeds at a Computers check while adjacent to a nozzle reactivates it. On initiative 0, an active fire suppression nozzle automatically puts out 1 burning square in its half of the storage unit.

Engineering: A PC that succeeds at an Engineering check builds a fire break around an adjacent fire. This reduces the chances of that fire spreading by 10%, to a minimum of 10%.

Profession (firefighter) or Survival: A PC that succeeds at a Profession (firefighter) or Survival check extinguishes the flames in 1 adjacent square.

The module isn't clear where the fire suppression controls are. I usually say that there is one per square on the right and left edges and you only need to affect one to get that side working. If that changes anything, please let me know

For instance, if Navasi was to have moved two squares to the right and be next to the wall, a successful check would activate all the suppressors on the right hand side which would then extinguish all fires in the right hand side of the warehouse. Morvruul can do the same on the left hand side by being two squares over to the left

The streets surrounding Jatembe Park, where the Newspark Parade is scheduled to begin, are packed with festivalgoers dressed in bright colors and carrying prepackaged snacks and small gifts to share with the Sparklors and other celebrants. The parade route has been blocked off, and many completed floats already line the street, each more extravagant than the last. Sparklors surround their floats, dancing, singing, and ocializing with the crowds. Nearby floats include a holographic unicorn frolicking amid cotton-candy clouds, a self-contained sphere of water that changes shape with someone dancing inside, a jungle scene with animatronic animals, and a cartoonish starship wreathed in rainbow smoke.

Yichen and the Jeweled Flower await the PCs in a small garage just off the parade route. The Jeweled Flower is a gorgeous float in shades of red, pink, and white. The float’s sides are lined in delicate rows of silk and crystal flowers, surrounding a central platform made in the form of a red rose. The petals are crafted from stiff silk, soft yet firm in design. Dancing atop a hoverboard above the center of the rose is an android in extravagant, flowing attire. Starfinders! the android exclaims, riding their hoverboard down to ground level. Camellia said they would send someone, though their description doesn’t do you justice! The android slips their hoverboard under their arm and bows in greeting. Yichen, at your service! Though, I hope you’ll also be at mine!

Despite the float’s beauty, it’s clearly unfinished, with missing flowers, an unfinished platform, and no other features. Fortunately, the Jeweled Flower isn’t the only unfinished float. Another float, this one a hovering castle festooned with streamers and flags, is also under construction in this modest garage. Numerous Sparklors scurry around this second float, including a lashunta installing an old-fashioned cannon filled with fireworks and a familiar pair of skittermanders tinkering with a holographic projector.

Despite Yichen’s showmanship, they’re distraught. Catastrophe after catastrophe has befallen their Sparklor team—from lost pets and injuries to illnesses and family tragedy—causing all but Yichen to drop out of the celebration. While Yichen feels sorrow for their friends and doesn’t blame them for stepping down as Sparklors, these events have left Yichen in a bind. They’re the only remaining Sparklor on the Jeweled Flower and can’t complete the float alone, much less operate it. Yichen requests you join their Sparklor team.

Well, I could use a hand to get this float operational, then I guess you do what you think best. One of you will have to drive it but the others can do ..... well ..... whatever you can to wow the crowd. There's also a prize for 'Best Float' and I'd like to win it although as you can see, there's severe competition. The Starlight Club's dancer in a waterbubble float for instance. But, yeah, we're mostly in it for the fun and adulation

First, the Jeweled Flower must be completed before the parade begins. Each PC can attempt one skill check to represent their efforts. Allow the PCs to be creative in their approach and skill choices.
Some examples are listed below.
Automation: A PC can use Computers or Engineering to program the float with exciting mechanical movement.
Construction: A PC can use Athletics or Engineering to complete construction on the float’s central platform or other large components.
Decorations: A PC can use Acrobatics or Sleight of Hand to add decorative flourishes to the float or complete other fine details in difficult to reach places.
Safety: A PC can use Perception or Piloting to ensure there are clear sight lines for the float’s driver or otherwise ensure the safety of the float.

The two skittermanders, Olive and Violet also offer to help, after apologizing for the fire.

[ooc]Olive and Violet’s offer of help is genuine, though accepting it is risky. They grant up to two PCs a +2 circumstance bonus on their checks. However, if a PC still bungles the check, their overzealous attempts at help wind up making everything worse.

"Olive, Violet, why don't you go help, Morvruul I'm sure he'd appreciate your unique set of "skills". As for me I'll have a look at the float's engine. If it comes down to a drag race between floats, I can guarantee we will win. Looks like there is space for a supercharger on it if I take the restrictor plate off."

"A super-charged parade float?" says Navasi doubtfully. Perhaps Cha'mon Cha'mon and Morvruul had more in common than they thought. Well, they didn't have much of a need for speed, but it would need power for the extra weight.

She hauls herself up on top of the float to examine how the flowers are made. "I can work on the decorating, then. Uh.. is the color scheme supposed to match the outfit?"
