Just a quick heads up that I may not get a chance to post tomorrow (Friday) as I'm traveling tomorrow evening. I will have internet access where I'm headed though, so I can resume posting either later (than usual, lol) tomorrow or else over the weekend.

I don't know if we're going up against grapplers or not Cade, but alchemical grease is very cheap (5 or 10 gp I think??) and I'm happy to gift you with a pot.

GM, after your cool description I hate to say this, but Dusk's attack should have missed (I rolled a one). Instead of changing things, can I use my t-shirt reroll to change it to hit? That way we won't have to go back and change anything.

Heh, the Nug... he opened for Poison back in the day, so I have a little exposure to him. Not really my thing though. Honestly, I'd use Pantera and Mötley Crüe to get myself psyched up before football games. I can see AC/DC at least.

GM, can Dusk occupy the square directly north of the oread? Dusk would really like to be flanking this guy, if he and Cade can take a 5 foot step.

I'm really trying to get Dusk the flank here, so I can add in my sneak attack damage. If Cade and I could 5 foot step that would work, but I don't know if Dusk is allowed to occupy the square north of the ifrit. Since he hits hard, I was hoping to avoid either Cade or I taking the attack of opportunity.

I think Cade needs to see the response here before acting... I assume timing will be an issue and only one of us will get the flank. The map shows Dusk in position with the Oread at the time of looking... but since Dusk is higher level and gets sneak damage, it's probably best for Cade to move first.

I did, for a D3 school. I was a halfback/tailback. Only for a season though.

Ok, I'm not sure if I did something wrong in the the Gameplay post. Dusk's two off-hand attacks were both originally way higher. His first off-hand attack was a natural 20 - I even typed in the roll to confirm. Then I went back to the post, so I could use my re-roll boon on the only attack that I thought would miss. I was excited that the re-roll came up as a 20, so I might get to crit twice! After I typed in my boon re-roll, my two off hand attacks were changed - both were under 10. Did I do something wrong? If you post a re-roll above other rolls in a post, does this change the rolls that come afterwards?

If you edit a post then your post gets the same prior rolls *in the order that they occurred*. Meaning that if, on edit, you insert a new roll before existing rolls, it inherits the result of the first roll (and the last roll gets a new roll at the bottom of the post).

This is why GMs often say things like "make the saving throw first in your turn post" to prevent gaming of how the ordered rolls turn out.

So to directly answer your question, it doesn't "change" the rolls, you're really assigning a different check or attack to an existing roll.

Example: You post

20 Attack
10 Confirm

You edit post and insert a save (e.g.)

20 Save
10 Attack
17 Confirm (suddenly the confirm doesn't make sense)

Got it - so the 20 and the 15 were my original off hand attack rolls. Thank you for explaining this. Next time I will know to post re-rolls either below the last roll, or possibly in a separate post. Would you like me to just re-roll the entire post?

I believe I originally only got a day job roll from Chunhua, so if others wanted to roll now is a good time.

Ferdrin day job, Profession (woodworking): 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (14) + 7 = 21

Survival as day job: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (3) + 12 = 15

Since my first attack dropped the oread, I don't think I used my re-roll. If I'm allowed to use the re-roll, it is below.

Survival re-roll: 1d20 + 12 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 12 + 3 = 17

Wow...

craft alchemy : 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (5) + 10 = 15

Day Job: Survival: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (6) + 5 = 11

Day Job: Survival: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (14) + 13 = 27

They are fixed. That was quite a bear. It seems certain functionality in Mac Preview has been disabled recently which used to make this easier for me to do.

Anyway, let me know if you see any more errors.

Thanks. Thankfully she tested negative with a PCR test and we just had to endure the 102 fever for a couple of nights and bad congestion. I just wish I could bounce back with a couple of Red Bulls like I used to be able to :)
