Drinks on the house? Well I am sure the ale canno be all that bad. Dram ambles towards the bar like its a personal challenge.

The halfling beams as the dwarf approaches, "Grunigon Durinslag! Great to finally meet. I saw your name on the recent graduate list. First mission? That is so freaking cool, right? Having fun? Or things going bad? Sorry, I guess that is maybe an assumption? I just figured walking in here with a big group of other new agents meant something was going down. Do you need help? I mean, advice maybe? I don't want to get physically involved obviously. Everyone gets to do things their own way here, which is really our strength. I'm sorry, I talk a lot. You were saying? OH GOD I'M SORRY I'M JANIRA GAVIX AND I AM PLEASED TO MEET YOU!"

The old human is sipping from an oversized flagon of ale while reading through a large an ominous looking tome. He slides a book marker into place and shuts it, looking up. "Ah yes, an agent of the society I presume? I can take a short break, sure. How can I help you? I am Yargos Gill, one of the preeminent military historians in this fine city. Did you have a question about tactics, or wish to know an ancient dwarven battle formation, or perhaps want my autograph?"

Dran nods to Ander and after grabbing two mugs full of the house ale he makes his way over to the Sarennite. Well met brother o' the cloth. he starts. While there is no such thing as too much ale, I seem to have one ale more than I currently need. As much as I love the stuff I've yet ta figure out how ta drink from two tankards at once. Can I interest ya in one o' these and a bit o' conversation? I think I seen you about either here or up at the lodge, no?

He drains his mug and smiles, "It is fortuitous you came at this moment, I just ran dry. The light is indeed smiling upon me." "The advice part is easy. A pathfinder should stand on their own two feet, but be able to lean on a fellow agent when needed. As for tales, there are many from my earlier days. Now I mostly just curate my shop. But let me tell you about my first mission."

He goes on to speak of a trip with three other agents to seek mystical artifacts in far away Osirion. Things went well until they disturbed a swarm of spiders and began dropping like rocks, unable to kill more than a couple at a time. He looks Dran straight in the face, "What would you have done, if in that position?"

I'd try take your advise and lean on my fellows what might be good at fightin swarms. But I'd also get some oil out and light a torch I would. Perhaps after I earn some coin from a mission or two I will lay in some alchemical ta help wit such. "Oh wow, knowledge of this place. There is so much to go on. Well, you know of Sir Reinhart, right? The Mendevian Crusader who is attempting the Test of the Starstone soon? Well, he isn't by far the first. And many of those who have tested, visited this very tavern for libations during their 'wish me well' tours. Quite a few went splat though but there was..."

He starts listing names and outcomes. It drones on a bit. But you can tell he has quite a bit of historical knowledge, if that becomes a thing you need later... *wink wink*.

About twenty minutes into his stories, you hear a raucous guffaw from the half-orcs. The phantom is floating above the table, the male half-orc is pouring ale through him, aiming for his open mouth and his sister is laying on the table trying to catch it below. Everyone is getting sloshed with ale, but no one seems to mind, cackling in glee.

Pretty quickly the hour is up and the historian has only just gotten started. The bartender's replacement arrives and Heryn waves Kaztor over.

Heryn Gale leads the group behind the bar into a storeroom with a set of stairs heading down.

A set of wooden stairs descends from the main floor into this tightly packed storeroom. Barrels, boxes, and crates of assorted foodstuffs and drink garnishes are pushed against the walls or under the stairs.

Heryn leads everyone through a door into a storeroom and she walks slowly across a wobbly plank that covers a ten foot deep crevice.

"Just go slow and one at a time. I know we need to fix that, but it's expensive to build something sturdier. And the fall doesn't hurt that much."

Dran thinks it looks... wobbly. Like maybe if you walk slowly and don't weigh a lot it'll be fine. But also maybe a nice couple boards reinforcing it would help too.

Okay, we have one dwarf moving into the hidden room. We have quite a few dwarves indicating they are searching, but I'm not sure if that is searching the wine racks or inside the hidden room. Dreng's request was for a specific bottle of wine. That bottle was the trigger to open the hidden room. I need to know is if anyone is going in with Magi.

Dran enters the room as well.
