I'm unsure about who it in which group. Or all we all together again? I had assumed Stool was with Maddy as he has taken to riding on her shoulder.

Also, are the words being exchanged in Common or Undercommon? Or other? It would definitely affect Maddy's understanding/confusion.

The roll for making the map, is that usually a trait modifier +tool proficiency? We don't have tools so this would just be a trait modifier.

I take it for wisdom as wisdom modifies survival skill.

What are considered common potions other than Potion of Healing?

Maddy doesn't need weapons (although maybe she'll take a few javelins) and the armour she could use is out of her price range. She wouldn't want disadvantage on stealth in the Underdark :)

She can use shields so she may pick one of those up.


There's not a great list for 5e. As a baseline we'll say 1st level spells that can be potionized are 50gp. But run them past me first and I'll say if the duergar have it or not.

ALso: Time to level up!

Are Maddy's attacks against a different darkmantle than the one attacking Kip? I know we're very theatre of the mind here, so it would work for it to be a different one or the same one.

I wasn't sure how close she ended up being to Kip. If she's close enough to attack the one on him then she will. If she needs to fight her way to him then she'll do that.

If she gets the one on him then he'll use his attacks on another darkmantle.

Quick question, if the friend dont get that darkmantle of my leg, cant I, raw, just stand up and not be disadvatandged? There are no AoOs for standing up in DND 5e.

I did clock in the 10 damage on my sheet.


Should have made it clear, Alex is grappled. No standing up without breaking the grapple first.
