Warlocks are probably some 5e game designers pet class.

I get CHA to hit (hexblade), CHA to damage (an eldritch invocation), on a d10 blast (compares favorably to a lot of things), and can further up this by getting proficiency to damage (hexblade curse) and a further d6 necrotic to damage (hex spell), I also crit on a 19.

Hey all! Didn’t introduce myself. I’ll be playing Huet-Huet Proudfoot. I’ve played with Angie on many games , and with a few of you on a few less.

I like to play halfling bumkins, reluctant paladins, robots, and lost folk looking to find a place to belong. I shy away from magic and like to have mundane reasons for what my characters can do. Most of my characters are good - or neutral with a tendency towards good (thieves with a heart of gold).

I play a lot of chaotic characters with a degree of sympathy for things it is probably unwise to be sympathethic to.

Alex worships redeemed Nocticula from Pathfinder, her direct patron is a Succubus tasked with kickstarting her "CN deity of redemption, midnight and excessive partying" cult on Faerun.

She got abducted by drow after getting run out of town for lewd poetry and pro demonic propaganda, he actual alignment is probably CG at this point.

Her capabilities are blasting things into the wherever, being quite persuasive and deceptive and being reasonable with illusions.

She does not typically start fights, and I think the group can back up that she doesnt act as a "CN murder hobo" at all.

Oh, she talks. A lot. And then some more. And if she doesnt have someone to talk to she will chat with her patron. Oh, her patron is a lore more sensible and pragmatic then she is.

Other then that, my key performance indicator is how much I can make you guys laugh or at least chuckle, any feedback is appreciated!

Ok, 4 known spells. Due to shadow touched, I semi "know" silent image and invisibility.
Cantrips stay the same, eldritch blast for ranged and booming blade for melee.

I am thinking spider climb (cast it on Maddy and she carries half the party), misty step (get out of dodge card), Hex (because its great) and armor of agathys.

Sample melee attack:

to hit with stylish greatsword booming blade: 1d20 + 2 + 3 ⇒ (10) + 2 + 3 = 15
damage: 2d6 + 3 ⇒ (4, 6) + 3 = 13
thunder damage if target moves: 1d8 ⇒ 4

Buffed melee attack

to hit with stylish greatsword booming blade: 1d20 + 2 + 3 ⇒ (14) + 2 + 3 = 19
damage: 2d6 + 3 + 2 ⇒ (4, 2) + 3 + 2 = 11
necrotic: 1d6 ⇒ 1
thunder: 1d8 ⇒ 6

ranged attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (15) + 5 = 20
damage: 1d10 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9

I think I will just stay back and blast, 2d6 is better then 1d10 by quite a bit, but I am no longer weak in melee combat. Also, i have a magical spear which I think Hue will enjoy more then an oar

Yeap the spear of warning. I got my own Boinkstick/maul/greatsword/whatever now, and to be frank I mostly blast things anyway. Getting every martial character some type of their prefered stabby/smeshy/shooty implement is clearly a priority.

Question - as Alexandra is using Stool to interpret her words, should I assume the telepathic mushroomfolk includes us all in the vicinity in its transmission or is the channel point-to-point only?

Stool can telepathically talk to a group or individuals or part of a group. Since not all our NPCs speak Common, Stool has been our bridge in communicating. It also allows communication without actually speaking between everyone.

Offtop/Funny story. I have been GMing the 'Second Darkness' adventure path in second time - a module for 9-10 months of regular games, also about Drow and Underdark, only 'Darkland' and in the world of the Pathfinder.

Yesterday my players decided to spend the night in a dangerous place (infested with evil spirits & swarms of spiders and bats) deep underground, and I asked them to roll d100 (with the condition that the more the better). The first player got 07, the second 04, the third (with our jokes, "come on, it maybe even less!") ... 02. And note this is not a dicebot, but dice rolls at a real table.

If we start counting, what was the probability of such a result... .)
And of course they never rested, they had to retreat.

For HP, you can choose to take half+1, or roll the dice. But if you roll, you take the results.

Clarification: My understanding is we had a long rest prior to the moss fight, and maybe a short rest afterwards? (my stuff recharges on short rests pretty much).

I started writing this post at work this morning, but suddenly the site stopped loading. I thought paizo was down, but it was still working on my phone. I guess work finally caught on to my D&D habit, as paizo, giantitp, and hilariously nerdle stopped opening for me (wordle is okay thought). It's only my workstation that won't load them. I can, however use FB, IG, twitter, and all the social media that other people use and I don't. So sad. So I guess I'll be posting from home from now on. At least that gives Maddy a chance to post. I'll post tonight.

So, I'm trying out this thing where Hue's fighting skill is really weaponized clumsiness. I'm going to roll and use his abilities as written but I want to colour the result as if it's all bumbling. Although it's Hue's intention to fight, he may wound foes mostly by accident.

Please tell me if it's getting in the way or too confusing.

This last hit wasn't an attempt to knock out the foe. It was far too lucky.
