Jek's side hustle
Profession maintenance worker with tool kit: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (1) + 11 = 12
From a conversation, Jeck has while working a side hustle. While working at the field hospital on the hot side of Verces, we have a saying, check the patients every hour, check the AC unit every 1/2 hours.

This was my first time playing PBP even though I have kept up with 2 other adventures in PBP before this I was still surprised by how much I liked it. Just following a game you don't see what's going on in discord, I felt that using discord (also new to me)felt much more like being at a table than just posting to the forums.
By day 2 I was already noticing how I felt like I was in the game, I woke up and posted and posted again before bed it was just part of my day, keeping me more in touch with my character all the time, much more than playing once a week for a 12 to 18-hour session.
I was at work when I made the connection that skeletons don't buy souvenirs, I was convinced there had to be a big boss monster in the caves making undead, possible would turn us too. Altho PBP combat can go very slowly the extra time dwelling on will my character even survive the next turn-over night sure made the fight feel like there was more to lose.
I love that the bot me section on my character sheet made any die roll so simple when they were needed.
The only downside I saw to PBP was, and I don't think it was the PBP part more than I think it was from me being the new person in the party. There were a few places where I felt hesitant or nervous trying to decide to post not know the party's dynamics, something that a session zero might have helped with, or just more game time. But that plays into being the new PC on the team as well.
Had fun playing the game with everyone hope to see everyone back after the CON :)

I was talking about wanting to GM someday, it was suggested to post here for advice, sounded like we might have a few GMs in the group. I've found plenty of advice on the web, just haven't had time to read through it all yet, and still just learning how to play as a PC, I'm always open to advice, on how to GM or just be a better PC.
What I really wanted to get feedback on is my idea for a PBP thread is a bit off the wall from a normal game. The basic idea is to create an ongoing PBP thread for interviewing bands, bands to post songs, and press kits, musicians to recruit other members to form a band, and using the rules for the final performance in "Band on the Run" Have an actual battle of the Starfinder bands. All of this is done in character. In many ways, this PBP thread would act like posting to the infosphere. It could all so be a place for characters with performance skills to do extended RP for downtime. Thought this group might be good to ask since we have had a fair amount of music and band references come up in play.
