Round 4

Jean charges forward and bites at the armored creature. His bite tears open the armor revealing not flesh and blood, but gears and oil. Having been activated it whirls to life and Jean can see it has glowing yellow crystals for eyes. It brings its shield up to protect it as the other hand draws its longsword.

Round 5

Whisper shakes his head to indicate 'no'. Angelica and Delman nod to each other and slip into the room to begin peppering the triangles. Mia follows them with Jock at her heels. Her hands free she sees she can't easily get to the other side of the fire moat. She instead finishes moving near Zaidel, ready to get into flanking next round. Finally she draws her falchion. Jellena appears behind the armored figure gaining flanking but is disappointed that the creature does not take precision damage.

Stratton shoots and dismisses a moon mirror. Jean attacks the creature with all his attacks which leaves many of the gears damaged.

The automaton attacks Jean with deadly accuracy that is likely magically enhanced.

Round 6

He moves over towards heart appreciating that the armor did not attack him. He then cleaves the clones and the figure with hearts upon its dress. He strikes the two clones dispersing them easily, but the actual target dodges the sweeping blade.

Mia, Jellena and Zaidel hit the target but you don't see much damage, no blood for sure. The creature clanks and whirls can be heard from its body, then it aims its stabbing blade at Zaidel. As does the one on Jean.

After the barrage of bullets from the vampires and the groups efforts the robot is broken apart enough that it drops to the ground inert.

Jean takes two rounds of attacks against the robot and reduces it to parts as well.

None of the suits of armor move to stop or to attack you. The two figures in the robes with the moons and triangles continue to shoot at Matthew along with the boss. Which Matthew is eyeing right now after taking down the heart warlock.

Round 8

As Matthew moves forward the tiles before the throne light up quickly showing a summoning symbol. Before your eyes a four limbed demon is before you. Matthew swings at the creature and the boss sitting in the throne.

He laughs at the vampires antics and conversation. Then he butts in with a merry tune, "You need some allies with keen scimitars or at least a keen falchion. Though with two weapon fighting and scimitars, that would generate a lot of crits!"

Seeing the demon he pulls back on his bow and holds it as the light on the arrow grows brighter and brighter until it feels like daylight. Then he releases it at the boss since the demon is likely nearly dead.

Round 8

He moves over towards the boss and watches the floor light up, as the demon materializes he swings to hit the demon first and try to cleave the boss. Epically failing the first attack and opening himself to attacks by the demon. Wait it hasn't acted yet... it is flat footed!!!

Matthew fumbles with his attack. Jean gets up close with the demon and takes a hefty bite out of the creature. Though you believe your attack should have done more damage. After clinging to Zaidel as he flies her over the lava, Mia moves around to get into a flanking position on the demon with Matthew. Stratton shoots at the robed figure with moons on its dress, though the arrow fails to hit as the caster dodges.

Round 9

Matthew hurts the demon but fails to get through the boss's defenses. With the use of smite Mia is able to do some serious damage upon the demon as she crits upon the creature, its blood pours from the wound and is bloodied!

The two pincers come at Matthew as the claws go for Mia and Jean respectfully. Then it bites at Mia too. Neither of the pincers find their way through Matthew's defenses. Mia's smite AC makes it so its attacks hit a divine wall. Jean gets gouged by the claw. As the demon looks at the dragon with interest now. Baffled by all of its attacks missing but one.

Only one of the demon's claws inflicts a wound upon Jean as his defenses deflect the others. Between Jeans attacks and Matthew's cleave you finish off the demon. It falls to the ground in chunks which slowly dissipate. The light coming from Delman nears a daylight spell as he continues to charge it. As the demon is defeated you see energy pass from its body to the throne. A wall of stone emerges from the floor sealing off the throne from the rest of you as it slams into the ceiling. You can hear the boss crackle with delight.

Matthew roars out in rage as the white fur grows upon him again. Delman releases his bow aiming at the caster. The glowing arrow can't even be distinguished any more it looks like pure light. After releasing the arrow it shot at super sonic speeds hitting the caster before anyone can blink. The caster gives off a death shriek and then goes silent as his body is quickly torn to pieces. The throne is glowing with much energy and magic, you can hear whirling and echoing chants from within the throne chamber. The caster is merely a pile of ash now. Then the magic stops and activates. The pile of ash is gone.

Though l other spells that were used including timestop, Prismatic Sphere and permanency. So yes we got him but he was preparing for us. Likely the permancy was forthe prismatic sphere. We will have to dispel it or take our chances going through it. I think he was funneling the magic through the throne, so it teleported his ashes to wherever. Unfortunately that is all needed for hight tier magic to bring him back."

As if the spire heard Zaidel, it begins to twist making a horrible scraping sound. Alexandr's tiefling vampire yells out, "We need to get out of here. One of three things is about to happen: it will teleport, it will blow up, or it will burn!"

The aasimar vampire nods in agreement and yells, "Quickly we need to find the nearest treasure room, we can then find a window and jump! There is no way besides magic to get out of the tower in time. Last time we had about five minutes before it teleported here."


Some of the group flies over the boiling lava pit as others leap, quickly enough you are out of the room and go through the prismatic sphere or someone goes and plays with the throne.
