You hear a terrified shout coming from the back room.
"Wh-what's that?! Get away from me you foul beast!!"
Henri and Drilwenwënas see a figure in the corner of the back room.

![]() |

The ifrit approaches from the guy.
Don't be afraid from Catlyn. But if you do some wrong she will let you know. Now explain what you're doing here. The two guys who attacked us here are out of combat.

![]() |

Henri follows the ifrit and stays close to him from behind to shed light on the one at the corner of the room. He looks around the place to see if there is something they can find important for their mission.

Henri can see that the 2 tables are piled with various items.
The prisoner looks up. "What does it look like I'm doing here?! I'm a prisoner from the Sixwing Drake. I don't know why they took me here. Last thing I knew, someone came on board at the Docks and asked to speak with the captain. As I was escorting him, a suddenly felt dizzy. Next thing I remember, I woke up here, in chains and in darkness. Will you please release me?"
Please move your tokens on the map (linked at the top of the page). Most of you are still at the entrance. Penny I think dropped out.

The ifrit patches quickly a wound.
Battle medicine: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (7) + 8 = 15
Damage healed, Godless healing:2d8 + 5 ⇒ (2, 6) + 5 = 13
Then he continues:
Your story a bit weird.
He looks around. How are the chains fixed? To the ground? To the wall? It's surprising to have a jail in an ancient inn.
Why did they bring you here, do you think?
I moved the blue one on the map as it is supposed to be tied by Radim.

Drilwenwënas - From where you're standing, he appears to be chained to the floor in the corner of the room. Without actually getting up close to him, you can't tell for sure.

![]() |

”If you are a prisoner, it is not a good idea to just release you, I am sorry. The judgement is not ours to give it even when you say you are innocent.” Henri tells the chained being. ”Maybe we turn over him to the Society. He will have a hard time if he intends to attack us or even escape. We need to immediately report back to tell what happened here. What do you think?” he asks the others.

![]() |

"You mean you would not rescue a prisoner?! I thought Pathfinders are honorable! That's what Captain Zendrani always told us. So you're from the Society but you won't rescue me?"

![]() |

"Your friend here with the light just said to turn me over to the Society. What other Society would there be? Look, maybe we didn't get off on the right foot, but I'm tired, aching and need some healing. Can't you free me?"

![]() |

Rafe will cautiously approach the man.
"I don't like seeing people taken captive by those who are up to no good. Did you have information they wanted?"
He will kick at the chain to see how solid it is.

![]() |

Tonraq approaches behind the rest of the group, waiting to see how the others react to the strange man.

![]() |

As Rafe heads over to the prisoner to examine the chains, the prisoners eyes widen, as if he sees something materialize out of the corner of the room.
"Wh-wh-who's there?! Get them away from me!! Stay away!!" he screams.

I think I should be noticeably closer to the events, in the circle of light at least - otherwise I don't see anything.
What the... - without finishing the phrase, Radim begins to spin the hammer and look around.
Ready action - hunt prey action on any enemy, including prisoner if he will be aggressive.

I moved Penny up as well. You mean you're gonna leave Blue in the dark? What if he's afraid of the dark? ;)

”Anyone that can shoot an arrow? I will cast a Light spell into it and I would like you to fly it in the direction of the corner of the room where something materializes to reveal itself in the light, making us hidden or at least concealed in the dark.” Henri suggests to the others and then casts Shield spell.

I hope you have some kind of plan, buddy! Otherwise it will be very fast and very boring. With these words, Radim spins the hammer and sends it to the side of the former prisoner.

Radim's hammer flies at Black's head thrice, hitting him twice. The second strike ending in a loud CRACK as Black's neck breaks, dropping him to the floor.
COMBAT OVER
Numerous valuable objects and assorted documents lie in heaps on top of two large tables in this elevated room.
Penny Arcana: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (7) + 7 = 14
Penny has a look and discovers that a few of the items possess some sort of latent curse, though it is unclear what the curse might do or why it is not currently active.
The assorted documents include detailed tactical information on the Pathfinder Society’s lodges in Andoran, Cheliax, Osirion, Qadira, and Taldor, as well as the Grand Lodge itself, such as guard rotation schedules, pass phrases, entrances and exits, room dimensions, unusual features, dossiers on the lodges’ leaders, and timelines of recent events in those locales.
You gather up the items and return them to the Blakros Museum first and then the Grand Lodge. Seshuun is glad that you found some of the relics, though she is disturbed by what happened.
"I find it upsetting that the Onyx Alliance was able to get the drop on the Sixwing Drake's crew. They're veteran Pathfinders and hard to surprise. I hope the Society can find out what happened to them; and especially how the Onyx Alliance was able to do it. Although I'll be quite busy setting up a new exhibit (nobody will pay to see empty shelves, after all), I will share information if I hear anything new. I'll also be talking to my bosses about the Onyx Alliance. That group has a history with the Blakros Family."
At the Grand Lodge, Ambrus Valsin listens to your report. He believes that the Onyx Alliance learned of the shipment, stole it with the help of powerful enchantment magic to manipulate the crew and dockworkers, and then prepared to replace the goods with their cursed items in hopes of setting off some kind of disaster at the Blakros Museum. He ponders why the Onyx Alliance is suddenly lashing out at the Blakros Museum and the Society. Whatever the cause, he suspects their attack ties in with the similar disruptive events occurring at lodges across the Inner Sea, and the presence of detailed information on the lodges is only further proof that the Onyx Alliance is coordinating these attacks.
"Steel yourselve for missions ahead. I hope to send you to the lodges under threat!"
End of Scenario
Thanks for playing! I'll report the game and send out Chronicles. Those of you with connecting flights, here's your boarding pass and you may run to your connecting gates!!
