**HOUSE GM ANNOUNCEMENT**

With the lower levels of the ruins secure, Venture-Captain Armeline Jirneau calls the Pathfinders together once again. “Excellent work, Pathfinders! The area’s secure and the path to the upper levels is now clear. What’s more, we have news.” she says, gesturing at the glowing arch. “We’ve discovered that this potent artifact is called the Eternity Arch. It’s resonating with some sort of magical focus nearby, and this resonance is what’s causing the Maze of the Open Road to malfunction. Using this connection, we determined that the focus is somewhere above us, higher in the ruins. We must find the focus and sever its connection to the arch.”

“It’s cold in the upper levels. We’re distributing warm clothing now. Remember, we don’t know what the focus is, so leave no stone unturned. Be safe and stay in touch. Let’s move, Pathfinders!”

Table GMs, please begin Part 2.

Several Pathfinders burst into the room and subdue the threat of the elementals as they contain them unharmed behind several magical barriers while the groups of Pathfinders filter past. "Go quickly, we can stay here and hold them back until you get back." The living waterfall splashes into the barrier.

Eando Kline, leader of the Vigilant Seal faction, paces with worry. “We dispatched scouts to the east, but we haven’t heard from them yet. Go check it out. See if they need help!”

These chambers are part of the residential wing of the ruins, which functioned as communal living spaces. The walls on the east side of this area are partially collapsed, revealing ice tunnels that wind off into the distance. Difficult Terrain and Uneven Ground. DC 19 Acrobatics to Balance.

New map posted.

If it's Athletics, Barad can offer to lead for a "follow the expert" thing. Otherwise, maybe some rope strung between us to help?

The young man takes a breath, not liking what he's seeing, but tries to sound hopeful. "Just one step at a time...careful, everyone."

Barad continues to take a defensive stance, nodding to the others when they're ready to venture into the tunnels, though uncertain as to which direction to select to start.

Just avoid the crit-fails and we can move, albeit really slowly...even Barad has less than a 50/50 at moving half speed in here.

It is Acrobatics (DC 19 to maintain your balance on Uneven Ground On uneven ground you are all Flat-footed but using a single action you have the chance of removing that condition for the round with Balance (Acrobatics). Another thing tat happens with uneven ground is each time you are hit you need to make a reflex check with the same DC or fall prone.

Maintaining defensive postures the group begins to venture across the rime. The sounds of snarls and tears are heard as you venture further down the passages.

A Pathfinder skids around the corner behind you, well out of breath, disheveled and covered in blood, some his own and some others, as he offers a warning. "Be quiet." His eyes go wide as his holds his hands above his head like antlers. This is the Pathfinder found condition giving you all a +2 bonus to Init.

Rounding the corner you spot a pack of strange creatures with a body similar to that of a snow leopard, with a bearlike snout and four eyes. They have gained access to this area through the glacial tunnels. The scouts ran afoul of the predators and are eating two of the Pathfinder scouts, both of whom are clearly dead.

Looking up the predators begin to snarl as their blood-covered muzzles twitch.

’Take that, you evil giant! YEEARRRRRAGH!’

If it was a critical hit, then the Axe crit spec effect should apply to the Orange one also.

Choose one creature adjacent to the initial target and within reach. If its AC is lower than your attack roll result for the critical hit, you deal damage to that creature equal to the result of the weapon damage die you rolled (including extra dice for its potency rune, if any). This amount isn't doubled, and no bonuses or other additional dice apply to this damage.

Full of anger, he uses the same swipe to try to hit the next Frost Giant creature (strike at Orange), while releasing part of his grip.

Raising his axe up above his head he just barely misses a second strike.
