Funny. I always think this with "impressive."

GM Quirk |

I will also award at least two bottlecaps here--one for the overall best, most effectively played idea in the search for Vari-13, and one for the craziest idea.
As a reminder, a bottlecap can be used for any d20 reroll. This includes to hit rolls, skill rolls, and saves. They are recorded on a slide.

No worries at all. It's that android discrimination... it's everywhere. You just gotta shrug and move on. ;)

Locket Alyara |

I liked the Born to Be Wild vid, but when you mentioned combing the desert, I'd half expected this.

Uchurtai |

I think that this has got to be Uchurtai's theme song. I'd been trying to think of another dimension to add to his character, and the whole heavy metal/biker theme might just be the thing.

Zetara |

Should we post assuming that Janebok told us the information?

I am playing in a Dawn of Flame PBP game here on the Paizo boards that could really use one more player. We just finished book 2, and one player needed to bail. The GM is looking for one replacement.
HERE is the recruitment thread.
This is a great game with some excellent players. I play a Telia mechanic who has become a reluctant warrior.

Zetara |

I'm in that game too. It's totally fun. Applications open through Friday.

GMQ, if Gath moves straight ahead will he be squeezing between the alley wall and the vehicles?
Squeezing gives the entangled condition.

GMQ and Zanbabe, thanks for the invitation. I peeked in the game thread -- looks awesome. Fortunately I couldn't find time to pull a character together and apply. Avarice would have completely overcome common sense. I can't keep up properly with my games as it is.
‘Eκάτη was a great choice. I've played with them on the boards here. Best of luck with your game.

GM Quirk |

Just waiting for Janebok. I will bot tomorrow if necessary.
Meanwhile, regarding the "squeezing": I don't want to make this too hard, so let's say that YES, along the sidewalk (between buildings and vehicles) would require Squeezing. HOWEVER, despite the fact that the street seems to have some narrow "half" squares, let's say that you and Uchurtai will have no problem getting down the middle of the street.

Janebok the Cold |

I don't know how or why but I seem to be consistently missing notifications from this game. I'll try to check it when on Paizo regardless of seeing notifications.

GM Quirk |

I have started a recruitment thread to replace a player in one of my other games. I decided to get both that game and this one up to 6 players. With that in mind, I indicated in this recruitment thread that I would accept a submission for one more for this game.
I'm really hoping to find you guys a mechanic!
This recruitment thread can be found HERE.

Howdy everyone! I was in Quirk's older game with Gath and apparently missed the memo that he was starting this. Need a mechanic with a sick racing hoverboard?

The addition of Senkuviene requires some explanation.
Gath and Locket were both part of one of my games earlier this year that took place on Absalom Station. Senkuviene was also part of that game.
When this game ended, all three of these PC's expressed interest in Junker's Delight.
Somewhere in the shuffle Senk didn't see my announcement that I had created a group. Luckily Senk saw my recruitment thread and reminded me of her interest. After many mea culpas for forgetting to PM this player, I made sure Senk had the link to jump into discussion here.
Here's a spoiler for Senk with some ideas on why she is in Khefak Depot on the planet Akiton:

It can't hurt me unless my bluff roll is good and my attack roll is bad... that's what I am saying. The bluff steals the good roll, and then I miss. It's about dicebot, not about my character getting harmed or anything.
I've got a couple operatives and I agree with GMQ, there's very little downside to trying trick attack, if you don't need another action, or a full attack.
The bluff (or other trick roll) is just as likely to eat a bad roll as a good. And if it trick attack does work, then your target's AC may go down. And you get to move as part of the trick attack full action. You're really just rolling for a chance at bonus damage. And at higher levels, you can de-buff the target for everyone, and get bonus damage on the trick attack.
Just my opinion.

Senk, I put a token on slide 2 for you to use when you enter the battle at the end of this turn.
Thanks, Quirk! SEN RIDES AGAIN!

SEN RIDES AGAIN!
Glad Sen could join us! Good to see you again :)

Wow! 1 damage auto-disrupts spellcasting. This sure isn't PF anymore...
That spell is pretty useless then. We'll see how often it is worth attempting. Certainly not in the vast majority of situations.

GM Quirk |

I think the spell has some potential. Let's say there's a single target, and one of your fighters is in melee with it. Cast away! You probably can't be stopped from casting it.
Or start casting, but strongly hint that your fighters engage nearby enemies to keep you from being shot/engaged in melee.
Although he would have gotten a save, it could have really screwed up The Gunslinger's (yes...that's his name now) day.
In the end, I have no problem with you changing this spell out if you would like to. It is clunky since it has a full round casting time. It also has the potential to really mess up the day of someone who has a poor will save.

Zetara |

Isn't there defensive casting in Starfinder, or concentration check to see if you lose the spell or not?

Janebok the Cold |

Any damage while casting automatically makes the spell fail. It's extreme! Yeah and I usually assume a standard action to cast unless I know a spell is 1 round. In PF, I'm aware of the 1 round ones by now but not in SF... And if I do land the effect, it's not actually that crippling.
All that makes the spell pointless at this level but I'll hang onto it since I don't like to respec and since it can be upcast later.
The fact that any damage disrupts a casting really brings home to me how MUCH SF nerfed spellcasting compared to PF. Warranted, really...

Zetara |

Wow, that's insane. ... I'm not sure I approve, since I enjoy playing spellcasters and why even have magic if you can't do cool things, but I suppose in a world where technology can do all the same things magic can do, there are plenty of other options. And overall I guess I do like the idea that we could do that to the bad guys who are trying to cast at us.

Locket Alyara |

Sorry, been a hectic day. Will hopefully have time for a proper post later tonight.
I think we (most of us, at least) could use a short rest to get some SP back...

GM Quirk |

I will move forward this evening. Hopefully everyone will see this and then at least move their token.
Uchurtai and Gath: I know it's tight in there. If the four squares you are in appear to be at least mostly clear, you can fit without squeezing. If you need an extra 5' or so to get to a good set of squares, by all means take it.
Janebok had a pretty good perception roll. I wonder what the vesk sees creeping around under all of that junk?

Just wanted to share an amusing tidbit with you all.
I used to work at a school in a region with a high proportion of people of Lebanese descent in the community. Working there for a while, I picked up a few phrases in Arabic (most of which I cannot repeat here - teenagers! LOL). In Lebanese Arabic kīfak means "How are you?" (in masculine form).
So every time I see the name of these critters we are encountering, it made me smile.
