Once again I want to check in with all of you. Obviously I have been busy to let this group go. I find that my household has six holiday event, 5 of which we are hosting! Three still to go.

In addition to this, work is rather busy for me.

My Mom is currently in the hospital, though I'm hopeful things will be sorted out tomorrow or the next day.

WITH THAT IN MIND, I think I would like to propose a short pause here. Let's all come back here and do some heavy posting beginning January 2nd.

I do apologize. I think my mind will be ready for more RPGing as December wanes.

First of all, HAPPY NEW YEAR to all of you! I'm happy to be back, and excited to be posting again. Gameplay for this game will begin tomorrow night, January 4.

Uchurtai, as a fellow subject of domestic cat royalty, I'm so sorry. Chef Brian and Ebisu both send their tributes. After that, they plan on eating my offerings of food, then taking a nap.

Pets, they weasel their way into your heart, and then rip it out when they depart. I'd still rather live with them than without. I hope you feel better soon, without a doubt.

Thanks folks, it’s been tough but my family and I are getting through it. Our other cat has been thoroughly enjoying getting many extra pets and treats.

We buried her in her favorite afternoon nap spot in our rose bed, alongside her favorite treats, a nice piece of salmon sashimi, and feathers and bird seed so she can hunt birds in Valhalla.

All that said, I’m excited to get back into things!

Sorry for the silence folks, been having a busy stretch followed by a cold and then competing in a lumberjack sports competition. I’ll get my action up tomorrow.

I was doing some of both! Competing while sick ain’t fun….and the resulting exhaustion from all of it basically put me inna vegetative mood yesterday.

So come on, man. What lumberjacky sort of things go on at a competition?

Quite a bit! So my best events are bucking, where you use a crosscut saw a bit like this either alone or with a partner to saw through a log. There’s also chopping, where you cut through a log with an axe, tree climbing where you’ve got boot spikes and a big rope kinda Mulan-style, and chainsaw events where you cut a log with a chainsaw as fast and precise as possible.

Cool! Do you sing the lumberjack song over beers after the competition?

Howdy gang. We'll get this show on the road over the weekend. My Dad has once again been hospitalized. I have been busy handling his affairs.

I think I'll take a moment here and let you all know that we'll be wrapping this adventure up quite soon. Honestly, it's not looking good Do'trulo and his gang.

With the end of this adventure, I'll be back to GMing just two games. I think that will be a much better place for me, and I'll be able to keep up better than I have as of late.

If any of you are looking for a way to continue playing, I'd certainly entertain you joining either my Against the Aeon Throne group or my Threefold conspiracy group.

The Aeon Throne group is in the middle of book 2 of 3. Still plenty of good stuff left! One nice thing is that your characters in this game are very close to the correct level if you would want to port it over.

The Threefold Conspiracy group is getting ready to start book 4 of 6. It's been a rollicking roller coaster ride, rife with paranoia!

Sorry about my tardiness in posting. RL has been hectic.

Yeah, my aunt's been going through a rough patch too. She's had kind of a suite of disabilities since she was born (cerebral palsy's the only one I know for sure) and recently she's been in and out of the hospital, first for a mastectomy and then pneumonia complicated by her not swallowing food. My mom's been going back and forth from her group home pretty much every other day now to keep an eye on her.

Since this campaign is closing, I figured I'd let you guys know about another TTRPG I'm involved in. Parhelion is a PF 1e Discord server with a living world where people take turns GMing. Your character levels up across quests and there are rewards for GMing that can help your character out. Click the link and take a look if that interests you. If you do, give me an @caster4life so I'm sure to see you came by and so I recognize who you are.

We could use good rules for combat in Parhelion's Void (which is kind of like space in that living world), so I'm considering proposing to the admins a modified form of Starfinder ship combat. I could certainly use help with such an undertaking if I ever have the time to do it!

One more time, I would thank everyone for participating in this adventure. There were certainly some memorable moments! I particularly loved our desert race! I also loved the encounter with the junk golem.

I'll be marking this campaign as completed within the next 72 hours.

Guys, it's been a really great game. I love these longer term adventures where you get a chance to build a real team. It's been wonderful playing with all of you.

GMQ, as ever, thanks for GMing.

I've still gotta compose Locket's final post, but wanted to echo Thom's words - I really enjoyed getting into the longer adventure with you all.

It was great to get a sense of the little nuisances of each character. A lot of fun and some good story along the way.

Thanks qgain, GM Q for running the adventure. I appreciated you giving your time and energy to allow us all to play make-believe.

I wholeheartedly agree, it's been a blast! Sen was a very different character than the usual kinds of characters I've played, and it was a great chance to stretch my role-playing muscles, and to play off the other characters with their little quirks.

Sen! Gotta say, APZ, I loved the way you were able to maintain the hip, cyberpunky, kind of dialect. I just can't keep it going when I try it.
