Welcome to the Q11 Parchment Tree
Could you please provide the following:
Player Name/Alias:
Character Name:
Character Level:
Organized Play # / Character #:
Earn Income Roll:
Faction:
Default Exploration Activity: (please keep it in your tag line, then whenever I need it I will take the latest)
Few rules:
- This is a game, we are here to have fun, let us all try to do that
- This is a joint project, the atmosphere at the table depends as much on players as on GM
- I do make mistakes, so please ask questions, throw challenges etc.
- I really appreciate feedback, I like to learn and improve, so during the game please try to focus on the things that you liked/ did not like
- Please try to post daily, weekends are less important as I expect people to have a life outside of games, but from Monday to Friday I expect at least 5 posts. When people don't post, or post 1 liner it really sucks the energy out of me.
- Quests are relatively short, but I as a GM, am interested in your PC's try to leave an impression so that I can tell 2-3 sentences about the PC at the end of the game. Describe why your PC does what they do.

I will let the others post in the gameplay, great job so far!
And share their reporting details here. I know that Jiki is considering leveling up to 4th lvl.
Currently if we go with
2 x lvl 2 and 2 x lvl 3 => 14 CP which means subtier 1-2
If Jiki levels up that brings us to 16 CP => which means subtier 3-4
As expected higher subtier means higher DC for checks and more challenging fight. I will let you all to share your thoughts

Ogren is a bundle of hit points and AC right now with a single action healing spell and a way of making things less damaging on a hit. If the fight is really hard or at a distance we might have troubles but he should be okay playing up. Also at fourth level does one have enough for the AcP free mentor boon from your respective faction yet?

![]() |

It's not like I get a choice whether to level up. 38 XP means I'm level 4. Jiki also has healing magic, as well as the Magical Mentor boon.
Player Name/Alias: cmlobue
Character Name: Jiki the Flatulist
Character Level: 4
Organized Play # / Character #: 312045-2001
Earn Income Roll: none, spending 2 days downtime on Off-Hours Study
Faction: Grand Archive
Default Exploration Activity: Avoid Notice +9

Ok, for some reason I was thinking that you have some finishing GM game that you can assign to Jiki now or later. Don't ask me how I got to that conclusion. If you are lvl 4 => we play up. I will set up slides today as we wait for Kuey

High tier? Oh dear, kind of worried about that. Panarug is largely a support characer. He had auto-succeed medicine and battle medicine checks, can send his familiar to feed you potions, then glare to debuff enemies. He'll try his best to keep people up.
Player Name/Alias: kuey
Character Name: Panarug A'thom
Character Level: 3
Organized Play # / Character #: 215076-2003
Earn Income Roll: Crafting: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (9) + 9 = 18
Faction: Envoy's Alliance
Default Exploration Activity: Search, Perception +10 (Expert)

GM Farol |

Ok, Slides are up, so far not much in there. But please make sure that you have access.
Given that we will be playing up Ulfgar and Ogren will be level bump (details on slide 3 of the presentation):
- Increase every DC the PC has by 1.
- Increase the attack modifiers, attack damage, spell damage, saving throw modifiers, skill modifiers, Perception modifiers, and AC of the PC by 1.
- Increase the Hit Point totals of the PC by 10 or by 10%, whichever is higher.
I think it will be fine, your lvl 2 PC's are Champion and Ranger which are relatively good in combat. 1 Combat means that you can use all your spells etc. no one did raise that this Quest is deadly and I hope we will not be the first table to do so ;)

Um, hate to be the buzzkill but Level Bumps are only for characters whose levels are at the adventure's base level, i.e. L1 for this game.
Mentorship and PC Level Bumps
To provide low level players a more fun and fair experience, PCs whose level equals the adventure’s base level (such as a 3rd-level PC playing in a Level 3–6 scenario) gain a temporary boost when playing in the higher level range called a level bump to represent the higher-level PCs’ mentorship and support.

...
Dang it! Ok. I read it before and understand it completely differently :D I shall repeat it over and over: reading with understanding is important :D
Level bump slide is removed, carry on! Nothing to see here.

We'll be fine!
I've only ever had one character get permadeaded in the whole time I've been playing any Society play and he had enough to buy a resurrection.
Ulfgar will just be careful*.
*Ulfgar will probably not be careful...I'm terrible at playing characters being careful. I find it boring.*

GM Farol |

Area of 10 does not include the diagonals. So Ogren would not be hit by the effect if sustained.

GM Farol |

Ogren would have shield blocked the first hit, as I'm assuming he'd be taking both hits. He'd deflect 5 damage from the first hit, taking 7 and did the initial 12 damage from the crit not double to 24? Either way he's up and alive with 1-3 hit points.
I should post my standard reaction order. 1, Glimpse of Redemption reaction if someone else gets targeted or 2, Shield block if he's the only one likely to get targeted.
So:
- With failed Will save you got smashed with Daze at the first round- Ruffina attacked for 12 dmg causing you to be flat-footed
- Preacher critted for 12 (include sneak attack) which doubled means 24 (there is a mistake in ooc tag :().
4+12+24=40
Even if you block 5 with your shield you are still -1. And actually since the crit took you down you would be at dying 2 :(
Is it correct?

![]() |

I forgot about the daze... Ah well, he's down and out. Hopefully he won't get hit anymore.

GM Farol |

@Ulfgar: Regarding:
'Clan Dagger's Parry ability (AC goes up to 18.)'
Your AC is 19 so parry brings it to 20. Your class DC is 17 the fact that this is one of the first pieces of information in your tagline confuses the Keving out of me. The fact that it confused you may be a fact that backs my worries ;)

Hmm...weird. I flipped where those two sets of stats are in my profile so they look better now.
I wonder where I got that order.

GM Farol |

And that would conclude the story. Chronicles can be found here Let me know if something is wrong. I reported the game, but as you know it all can be changed.
I must say that I was worried during that fight, I even started to look at how this would be reported if you would fail your mission.
Let me know if you enjoyed the game, and stay safe!
Thank you all for playing and daily posts!
I did enjoy the silent dwarf, I don't mind silent PC's but I do mind silent players posting with one-liners.

Agreed, this was a great cast of characters.
Thank you all, especially Farol for running!

Thanks for the game! Yeah, interesting cast we've got here. Too bad quests always feels so truncated...

Good game and my chronicle looks good.
I'm glad everyone liked Ulfgar and didn't find him annoying. The challenge I've set myself is to make him expressive without making him verbal.
The first time I played him, people were not pleased, which is why I've started mentioning that he doesn't talk in the introduction.

![]() |

That was a fun game to play with everyone!
I always feel quests end so abruptly, and I always wish I could get a few more chances to interact with people, but it was a fun game nonetheless.
The chronicle looks good. Thank-you for running this Farol and thanks to everyone else for being a blast to play with.

GM Farol |

With regards to story: yeah it is a bit thin. I could try and make it longer and with more details, but this game already took us 2 weeks, so we would be looking into 3+ weeks of game worth 1XP :|
Regardless, thanks for playing. Since each of you commented I will close this campaign. See you at other table!
