Notes on Battle Oracle

Each time initiative is about to be rolled and Isurus has at least 1 Focus Point to spend, he will cast Call to Arms. This is a reaction with the trigger, "You are about to roll for initiative."

Each ally gains +2 initiative and 1 temporary hit point lasting 1 minute.

Unless they changed the ruling, Isurus is not his own ally, so he neither gains the bonus nor the temporary hit point.

This will also drop his AC and saving throws by 2 until he has a chance to attempt a Strike.

Once he's used 2 focus points in a day, he'll have fast healing 1 during combat.

Yes, this counts as a normal scenario, so everyone starts with either a minor healing potion or a school item. Maybe you got one as a gift for doing good in training recently.

    So an extra two would mean everyone can have 2 and 2 people can have 3.

    ... We might want to add a slide or images of coins to the slides so we can have visual representation, it makes tracking this significantly easier.

    Additionally, if you want, there's a really useful Google sheets for collecting and making macros for secret checks. Bit faster than asking each time. This was originally made by GM Doug but used and spread with permission.

    Having been a part of designing a (ultimately not very good) game system that involved "Waylay" as a skill/action and "Assassination" as a skill/action, single roll incapacitation is not particularly easy to balance and certainly not at 1st level.

    That aside, we were supposed to do this task without violence.

    Question for the GM: it is announced we are to have some 10 minutes between waves. The CRB says the Cleric can refocus while doing service toward their causes (noting that for example Good clerics can heal).
    Healing is one of Sarenrae's domains-- so, if Kyra takes 10 minutes to heal or be healed, would that allow her to at the same time regain 1 Focus Point (to see how to conserve them or not)?

    Table side talk for my fellows (if okay to do so? If not I'll just go w. what I had in mind): having only 1 Magic Weapon spell prepared, Kyra intended to keep it for just before the 3rd wave, thinking that one might be the toughest. And was thinking of casting on Samna, who could make the most attacks per round w. Flurry.

    Yes. And I think myself quite fortunate that I stumbled upon this interaction in such a safe encounter, else I could have been in quite some danger.

    Critical fail -> Dying 2 -> Fast Healing -> Wounded 1 -> Persistent Damage -> Dying 2 and onward if I did not end the persistent damage (or find a way to heal myself).

    However, I misrecalled Persistent damage coming at the start of my turn when it happens at the end of my turn, so I do have my actions to take. I'd love to ret-con the natural 20 to end the persistent as an assisted recovery check, but that's probably too ret-con-y/meta-game-y.

    I think that's great. I can use a fighting fan, but I'm going to go with ranged attacks to hopefully avoid the attacks of opportunity.

    It's been over an hour for Guidance on Alaric, and some 40 minutes I think (or more?) for Samna.
