ruh-roh!

I'm happy to be a personling and you be a diceling.
Stat up NPCs? Maybe? :D

Melira Lightfoot |

I'm happy to give you a statblock or two, I think.
While we're talking about stuff, is now a fine time to go over posting schedules?

DMG |

Sure of course.
Anything on your mind you can post away.
I don’t need any formal posting schedules.
Here’s my general mind frame from doing several of these. Many of you have done more.
These things need a burst of strong participation early on to give them legs. At a certain point you can feel it has a life of its own and it’s going to keep going.
I’d say it’s polite if you know ahead of time that you won’t be able to post on a weekday, give us a heads up on discussion thread. On weekends play it by ear, post if you feel like it.
I’ll be shooting for solid gameplay updates daily for sure on the GM side.
In combat I’d say if you don’t post in 24 hours you take dodge action or something like that.
Honestly , that’s what I’m used to but I’m not too worried about it. I think we all want to be here. Let’s keep it low key, I don’t want anyone feeling stressed.

Melira Lightfoot |

Ok. I typically post in the morning and evening every weekday that it's appropriate for me to post. I occasionally will check at other times, but will often not post except mornings and evenings. I have gotten in the habit of not checking on weekends, even though I can, as some players in the game I run don't. If I'm in combat or need to supply something for things to move forward, I try to post as soon as I see that everyone is waiting on me. I like the idea of keeping things low key and not stressing people. That seems like the right mindset to me.
I also think the burst of participation early on is important, and it's expected to drop off a bit later.
I also like to let people know ahead of time when I can't post, but I've been surprised at how hard it can be to remember to do so.

Melira Lightfoot |

Works for me.

Beziriphas |

I don't think it does copy a sheet...or did I do that?

Beziriphas |

Yeah, DNDBeyond specifically prevents one from outputting a stat block.

I did manual. WOTC are very good at mismanaging high quality games.

Beziriphas |

There are zero "legal" methods for extracting the info, as it's all in fields. Of course, if you use Discord to run the game and Avrae, that's pretty awesome. :)

DMG |

I have been hearing a lot about that!
I have played a game on Discord but we all had paper sheets. And just kinda rolled physical dice on the honor system :D
My little brother is 18 years younger than me and his group of millenials and zoomers are pretty much only interested in rolling stats and playing more or less like it's 1976.

Here's Vex - pretty much done and dusted.
Being a rakehell, coercer and duelist of unscrupulous repute.

DMG wrote:Wow fantastic sheet BD. Very easy for me to get to the info I need.Thankthee kindly good sir. I'm pretty OCD about my sheets and have spent WAY too much time perfecting layouts/sections/etc.
Were you able to copy paste from PDF? I wasn't able to do so.

Vexlygo |

Manually written and formatted mate. Old school :)
@DMG: Want us to also note Lifestyle (and expenditure)?

I wasn’t counting on tracking lifestyle and expenditure because I was thinking there will be a bit of travel right a way and straight to some action.
But, anything like this that you note can never hurt. Yeah we might have downtime.
I really like reading these NPC’s you people made. They are much better than the ones in adventure modules.

Melira Lightfoot |

USA Central Time, so GMT -6 for me. I put some NPC details for an NPC in my character profile, under a separate spoiler.

Beziriphas |

USA, PST :D

Looking at Vex. :D I think it's interesting that Bez, who so desperately wants to be suave, blows up at the slightest provocation, and despite being good at deception, has a 'tell'. Meanwhile, Vex is calmer...and clearly more evil.
It's reminding me of 'Vampire Diaries' :P
