Leveled up. I mostly got an extra spell per day and known, some HP, and Jack of All Trades.

I went with Detect Magic. Dissonant Whispers isn't as strong as I thought, since they use a reaction to run away, not their whole turn. Ignore Melira's statement that she can't cast Detect Magic.

Yeah and they made the early levels 1 and 2 almost like prologue levels. There was a 3rd party pathfinder resource for playing level 1/2 prior to level one and that is what 5e reminds me of.

But, in tabletop you are basically leveling up at the conclusion of your first session. And likely after your second or third session you reach level 3.

You kinda get used to it.


Yesterday my brother kids all had the day home from school for parent teacher conference or something like that. So I babysat them all day and we played DnD for literally 9 hours I think.

At one point my nephew left for a few hours for a sports practice and the two girls did nothing but have animated conversations with shopkeepers the whole time! I had to make up voices and everything :D Really cute kids.

Aye - mentioned to DMG that I'm keen to find Vex's "voice" per say before joining the game proper. However don't want to overly add to our illustrious DMs workload, so no rush as/when Vex's cutscenes are added.


It’s not a workload I am enjoying the game now. I can see the scenes more vividly in my minds eye and I like unpredictable players it makes me more in suspense.

I was having some anxiety for a bit but that is just how my job is it makes us get not enough sleep!

I thought I posted something about that. Guess I never hit submit.

The letter mostly confirms that the curse exists. I guess it indicates that whatever monsters are not afraid to attack during the day, and probably outside, too.

After we leave, assuming there's still more to do, it could be worth tracking down this Benrun person before revisiting the area.

Hey Bez, I am not on tour with them, I am working as a local stage hand.

I work this show every year when it comes to the area, and sometimes we follow them around for a couple of stops. My buddy has gone on tour with them as a rigger for many years.

I usually help fly the PA system. This year I built video wall.

It does lead to the steps. So when you come inside the gate , you have the mansion with its marble steps directly in front of you maybe a couple hundred feet away. The mermaid fountain is between you and the steps. The carriage trail makes a culdesac around the mermaid fountain so that you would reach the steps . For a example a carriage could drop you off at the steps and then continue clockwise and arrive back at the gate again after going around the mermaid statues.

A side path splits off from there to meander through the gardens and other statuary to a side gate in the high wall.

You can make out a pale blue marble object to the left of the mansion, a few hundred feet to the left and ahead of you from where you stand at the main gate. There is also a vine choked white fountain with a desiccated corpse visible through the gardens to your right a couple hundred feet.

Hey Akkramar and Faidh, do you guys want to roll initiative and play out in real-time what happens when Ak stands against the skele’s?
Or do you want to just say that at some point in the clash he would catch a hit and go down and Faidh would tend to his wounds?

Because the motivation of the skele’s is to get to the dam. Once Ak falls they will not stand there and poke him on the ground forcing failed death saves, they will just march on to the dam.
