In addition to her common knowledge of electrovores, Melissa also knows that they are immune to electricity but not any other forms of energy or physical damage. And she feels like there was one more cool thing they did, that her hockey team had a chant about... but she can't quite recall.

Strek considers every variable:
• electricity zapping creatures dropping down on them from above
• powered armor that becomes a statue when it's turned off
• sensitive, archaic equipment
• mechanical grippers that can't wield weapons
• a clear path to the gigantic door
• and a factory default Abadar steel standard door lock
"Outta my way golem comin' through!"
Full Action: run to the door. This will provoke from Dark Purple and Red. Also, Strek's EAC/KAC for this fight will be 10/17 respectively.

Melissa hears a chorus of voices as she activates her animal-speaking fungus. It's mostly just "FEED" and "HUNGER", mixed in with a little bit of "FINALLY". Her eels and words do have the desired effect, drawing two of the creatures away from the main group. The duo follow the group heading towards the door and emit a large electrical burst while cawing, "KILL!"

Akh and Jaraduk must have been playing a lot of the Electrovore Encore pinball game, because both know where to hit the vermin for maximum 'splosion. Two smaller puffs of electricity than the earlier explosions crackle to life as the two creatures disappear with only gore-splattered confetti left to show they were there. Guess? fires through the haze, almost knocking the remaining electrovore out of the air. The flying wire rat catches itself before hitting the ground, swooping up and latching onto the container on Jaraduk's back! It's veins begin to glow a bright blue as it pulls power from the ancient machinery within. You can tell that these electrovores seem more aggressive than normal, possibly spurred on by an outside influence.
You take some time to examine both crates of equipment affected by an electrovore and can easily assess the damage, which requires some effort to fix. If you can pass a Hard Engineering check, you can restore enough power to the machinery to counter the siphon. You need one roll for each crate.
Deciding that dodging traffic might be easier than pushing through a seemingly unending horde of lightning rats, you head up a level. Just a block or two down this new corridor, a space goblin in a tattered business suit approaches you. "Hello, my dear citizens! Please, allow me to be your humble servant Zootgarq this evening. I am but a simple travelling salesman, moving through this poor begotten area of our beautiful Station with a much needed service." He launches into his sales pitch for a spray “guaranteed to keep pesky conduit rats at bay,” and offers to sell you a can of "proven anti-electrovore spray that will prevent any electrovore related problems you might be having." The goblin points at the lightning-snake Melissa is ferrying. "Ah, I see you have already fallen victim to their wiles! Lucky you, most don't make it out alive! This can of life-saving product can be yours for just 200 credits!"
Though the goblin is absurdly convincing, you can tell that Zootgarq isn’t telling the truth. You feel like you could Intimidate him into telling the truth.
The science doesn't work out. You know his “electrovore repellent” is likely bunk. Perhaps someone with Engineering or Physical Science knowledge could understand what exactly this goblin is selling.

Assist strek with the engineering checks since we're not in a hurry, i think that gets us the biggest chance for success.
Life science: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (7) + 4 = 11
sense motive: 1d20 + 4 + 1d6 ⇒ (17) + 4 + (5) = 26
Life science: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 10
"If you're ripping people off for 200 credits I'm going to be so mildly annoyed that you're not on my radar today. Please see the captain about some lessons. "
"If you're using this spray to attract the Electrovores, and set them on poor people, and set the poor things against us, I'm going to vote to turn you over to station security. "
"If you're torturing the electrovores with cattle pr..that wouldn't work would it you'd need like, pointy sticks on fire while exposing them to the spray, so they're terrified of the smell I'm going to vote for NOT turning you over to station security. Maybe I should wake Pip up and see if he knows you? My noperope is bigger than yours... " pat pats Akh. "Smile for the nice goblin. "
Sniff sniff the spray can with scent. Not too close though.

Life Science: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (17) + 5 = 22
"These electric worms are definitely way more aggressive than usual. It's not normal. Perhaps external stimulus is prodding them on somehow..."
Guess? then attempts to assist Strek with restoring power to the two crates:
Engineering, assist: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (9) + 7 = 16
Engineering, assist: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (12) + 7 = 19
---------
Taking a cue from Melissa, Guess? turns the hostility against Zootgarq up to max, snarling, "You DARE try to con ME?? DO YOU KNOW WHO I AM?? My tribe will feed yours to a pack of rabid dogs if you don't fess up everything right now!
"And we'll start with you!!"
Guess? grins wide, purposefully baring razor sharp teeth, then purses his lips and blows a loud, sharp whistle.
"I'm calling my dogs over now! But if you wanna save yourself, talk. Now.
"And if your con is actually profitable, assuming I allow you to continue, you WILL give me 50% off the top as protection from other members of my tribe!"

Life Science #1: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (3) + 10 = 13
Life Science #2: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (13) + 10 = 23
Akh trusts that Melissa knows her dodgy goblins - especially given Guess?' excellent example. He looms over the goblin and says "Electrovores don't even have noses. They're not going to be able to sniff your repellant, or anything else for that matter. I bet that spray does something else entirely." (Someone else could roll an Engineering or Physical Science to determine exactly what, per my spoiler)
"Of course, you probably don't have to worry about that, because I'll be putting you in my mouth for safe keeping in about six seconds."

Hmm, maybe it's THIS guy who found a way to get them to act up so he can sell truckloads of this junk.
The nuar stands over biz-nis goblin, seeing how he reacts.

Engineering #2 w/ Assists: 1d20 + 16 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 16 + 2 + 2 = 27
• Lower DC by 5 if it's to Repair
Strek breaks out his many spare batteries to recharge up the machinery, feeling pretty confident about the first crate, but maybe a little bit less so about the second.
When the salesgoblin appears, all Strek can do is giggle as this obvious newbie gets confronted by the rest of the group.
"I guess, for once, it's nice to know we're being scammed by a freelancer, rather than a big corporation. Or a military organization. Or a militocracy. Or undead rebel lizardfolk. Or thirteen gigaton space whales. Or weapons merchant assassins. Or.."
He just keeps listing off all of their enemies and their capabilities so the goblin can hear every one of them.

"According to BIG sis "Noodles to die for" Is already trending. But there's the web, the dark web, and the DARK web."
"We could spray the goblin down with it, wake Pip up and see if he likes it as much as I do, or he thinks its BBQ sauce. FOR SCIENCE. We even have a control group goblin right here. "

Strek, thanks to his skill at repairing equipment, manages to recharge both of the ancient unknown equipment. Nice, that was a tough check.
"If you're ripping people off for 200 credits I'm going to be so mildly annoyed that you're not on my radar today. Please see the captain about some lessons. "
This cracked me up.
When the salesgoblin appears, all Strek can do is giggle as this obvious newbie gets confronted by the rest of the group.
So true, this situation was perfect for your group.
The goblin's eyes get big. Like, really big. Cartoon-level, which can really only be emulated by goblins, big. "Uh... I see I've played with the wrong folks who wandered down my halls today... I'll confess. I set those electrovores on you. Sometimes, people run and I get their goods. Sometimes, they fight and I get their goods. Sometimes, they run and I sell them this protectant!" He lowers his voice. "Quite helpful, when I'm the one who handles the dogs. It's a win-win-win!" He eyes Melissa. "200 credits? That's huge! That's like two months wages!" He eyes you all, confused. "Or... at least my sort of wages. Probably not anything y'all would understand, the plight of the working man." He shakes his head vigorously. "I'll tell you what. I'm done with this whole business. Let's make a deal. If you promise not to tell the authorities, I'll give you everything I made this month. 900 credits! I promise, I'll abandon this scheme and seek gainful employment elsewhere with the rest of my tribe." He nods emphatically at Guess?.
This vow rings partly false. He is definitely going to be giving up this scheme, but probably won't be going straight anytime soon.
