This encounter is really only like an hour or so after the last one. I assumed those of you who were quite hurt took 10. Akh, did you want HP healing?

Skix nods. "I suppose I could rearrange the schedule for you, since y'all are so... high profile. It will be ready tonight. Just get me that shipping manifest in the next hour so we have time to prep."

Akh runs forward in slow motion, arms out, looking for some much-needed affection. The incredibly huggable robot raises it's arms, digital face full of comfort and joy. "HELLO. MY NAME IS BAYMA-" Then, when Akh gets within about five feet of the robot, the blue smiling screen begins to glitch. A red screen featuring a large frowning emoji flashes onto the robot's "face" a few times before staying. "TOO CLOSE. THIEVES. NOT AGAIN. THIEVES."

I didn't rest at the end of the previous fight so should be starting this one with 42 SP. I also mitigated the last two hits of the fight before that, so I should be at 18 HP. Also, I intentionally flew Akh through the path that keeps him between the moving cargo lines, so I adjusted his position on the map to match that intention. Are the piles of crates too tall to reach the ground while atop them?

This seems like too much of a coincidence that they start acting weird only when in proximity to us. I'm thinking this is another assassination attempt. I know you can't generally "hack" Creatures, but is there a check we can do to either tell whether this change in behavior is the result of tampering, or a check to maybe turn them off or repair them?

Got an answer Ewok that some of the crate piles are 10ft tall, so Akh will be floating half-atop one of them and not in the path of any sudden cargo projectiles. Ewok, feel free to adjust my position once you specify where those are on the map.

Akh wriggles a little in the bot's grasp "They're less soft and fluffy than they look. In fact, I think you're right Jaraduk, this one is trying to squeeze me to death. That's weird. I wonder why." Akh doesn't wait to find out why and instead pulls a claw free to slice at the bot that has him in its grasp.

Distressed at Akh's predicament, Del casts Caustic Conversion at the robot grasping Akh!

Plus 5 more acid damage at the end of the robot's next turn.

Del then moves, squeezing into a position where she can avoid getting hit by the fast-moving containers!

Looking at the map, it looks like the best spot for Del to stand without having to squeeze is over by where Guess? is currently standing. I'll move Guess? out of that spot on his turn so that Del has a place to stand without having to squeeze.

Though Akh continues to struggle within the clutches of the robot, his attacks weakened by surprise. Del doesn't have that problem, her acidic touch deflating the robot's protective casing.

Suddenly a large 15 foot cube of cargo comes flying down the center track. It comes barreling right towards Melissa and Jaraduk, threatening to knock them over. As it rushes by, the robots don't even flinch though it passes within inches of their blubber.

Looking at these robots, Strek can tell something is wrong. That red forning face feels more like an error code than a threat. Though they aren't sentient, they could certainly be malfunctioning. Once unconscious, perhaps an engineer could further diagnose or fix the problem.

Seeing Del squeezed up in a tight space, Guess? moves aside and says, "Come over here Del! There's more space over here to stretch your legs!"

Guess? then focuses on the red bot previously damaged by Del, exclaiming, "They may squeeze but at least they don't byte!"

He then takes two Steps backward towards Melissa, careful to let the giant marshmallow enjoy its new toy.

Guess?'s bullet sinks into the robot, releasing a jet of air. Melissa's line of electricity buzzes across the group, and you notice that the sparks cause the robots' circuits to glow where they touch. Both Del and Jaraduk's blows bounce off the thick white padding around the hugbots. Akh scratches at his offending bot, popping a hole in it's armor. As it slowly deflates, it's face begins to flicker before turning off entirely. "FRIENDS???" To their right, Strek loses an arm and backs up. The hugbot stands in place for a moment, staring at the arm it now holds. Then the digital face begins to flash a new expression, an orange shocked expression and the bot emits a horrifying screech. "EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!"

As Strek keeps an eye on the northern track, a second large crate comes careening down the center aisle.

The cargo container knocks all three robots onto their backs, but they flip back up onto their feet nearly instantly despite the large black skid marks now running up the front of their bodies.

The robot holding Strek's arm takes a step forward, continuing to "EEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!" It attempts to hug the brakim, but just ends up halfheartedly slapping Strek with his own appendage. Next to them, another hugbot comes up to Jaraduk. Though the robot doesn't manage to grab a hold of the nuar's arm, it does end up bruising his armor.

Melissa continues to show her experience dodging mine carts while Jaraduk... does not. The cart smashes into his shoulder, spraying blood across the warehouse floor. Her electrical attack is extremely effective, causing all three robots to shake in place. Akh, thrown by the adorable dying robot, misses the next Hugbot but Jaraduk gets his revenge with a cleave right down it's center. Guess? pierces the third's armor with a well placed shot and Del's magical acid burns the face plate of the final Hugbot. All three slowly fall to the ground with a soft wheeeeeeze.

The ragged overseer comes up on the scene soon after with a retinue of warehouse employees. Skix waves his arms. "No, no, no, no! My bots, what have you done?!" He comes up short, recognizing who he was talking to. "Oh dear. We're not live, are we?" His eyes go wide. "I'm so sorry, in my hurry I must have given the GuardBots some misphrased orders. We had some thieves come through for this cargo two nights ago and I didn't want anyone else grabbing the boxes without my say so. But... I see how that could be misinterpreted..." He looks at his feet for a moment. Flustered, he spreads his hands out flat. "I'm so sorry for this... situation. The bots must have malfunctioned." His eyes go to the brakim arm on the ground and Strek rearranging himself, and stutters. "They, they, they're only supposed to hug people. Not... delimb them..." Knowing the flexibility of brakim, he swallows hard and moves on. "Listen, we need to get back on schedule and you need to get your cargo and be on your way. Mr., uh, Zo!? Can I have a moment of your time?" He pulls Guess? aside and whispers, "Hey, we all know that this was just a sorry little accident. Nobody's to blame of course. But, uh, perhaps I could have those tapes of yours? No need to disparage the robot manufacturer like that, you see? Don't want to hurt the advertisers!" He gives a cheesey grin, then restrains himself. "If you give me those, and promise to keep quiet about this then I could offer you a little something out of the office lost and found” He gives you a devilish grin.

I suppose you meet a lot more people than I do, so you're more likely to meet 'em." He gives you an exaggerated wink. "Now, I best be getting my men to shift this cargo onto your ship. I'm sure you've got plenty of Drift to travel yet." You look inside the crate a cache of highly polished ceremonial equipment that may have been meant for a powerful dignitary. This includes a silver AbadarCorp travel suit, commander ceremonial plate, a red star plasma pistol, three Magic Missile Spell Gems, a Clear Spindle Aeon Stone, Ruby Sphere Aeon Stone, and a staff of mystic healing. How do you split them out? Want to sell any before you leave?

You know enough about Entha to assume the next stage of your mission will take you underwater. Before leaving Absalom Station, you can easily find suppliers that sell equipment useful for underwater exploration and survival (including that shop and training facility that Tarika mentioned). You have a few hours while the warehouse employees load your ship's cargo bay to make any last minute training or purchases. Last call for class changes or shopping! What downtime activities would everyone like to do on the trip?

Jaraduk accepts the misplaced crate, smiling. That's the spirit. Finders keepers!

Cracking it open Jaraduk starts to toss the items out at his companions. He stops at the clear spindle aeon stone. Can you imagine never eating or drinking again? What would be the point of living?!

Not really looking to keep any of the items. I'm unclear on how powered armor would even work underwater, so I suspect I'll need to set it aside for this segment. It didn't look like there were applicable attachemnts.

Some nice items! Shame the light armor has 0 upgrade slots and +7 Dex mod. It's a very minor upgrade for Akh, but leaves him without darkvision if we end up in dark places under water (which seems likely!). The heavy armor looks really solid if someone doesn't mind being a bit slower.

Akh looks over the gear. If he could squint suspiciously at Skix, he would. He settles for circling around the group in the air. Once the team is clear of the warehouse, he comments "We should check if any of these are sabotaged or if they'll animate with red screens to attack us once we're in the Drift. If cute marshmallow drones can betray us... anything can."

He gets ready for the trip to Entha by visiting a mechanic for some sealing and greasing around his joints, then taking a long visit to a certain themed pilates gym for some aqua-calisthenics. He emerges slightly more confident in his ability to tangle with eels, crabs, and small to medium-sized fish.

I think Melissa should take the aeon stone computer - might come in handy? Perhaps sell all / most of the other unclaimed items on the slide? I'll list out their sell credits worth.

With the time left on the station, Guess? will search for side jobs / cargo before departure.
