Side by side with the red Xun, Del pulls out a spell gem and activates it, causing electricity to crackle up her arm. She reaches out and tries to touch the red Xun.

With the red Xun still standing, Del takes another guarded step back and recalls the first time she tried to fry noodles. Nearly set the house on fire... Casting overheat. Aiming it so it only his the red Xun.

As Melissa attempts to run from her attacker, she draws their attention and a knife to the back. She makes the most of her opportunity, shocking both of the closest assassins. Meanwhile, Guess? blows kisses and the central Xun looks at the one to her side. "Did you do that? Tricky." The other assassin looks puzzled and just shrugs.

Del's fiery memory washes over the attacker, boiling her exposed skin. With a gasp and a look of shock, she falls to the floor. At her call, the bystanders break out of their stupor and begin to scream and run away! They scatter, only a few getting further in your way. The distraction throws off Strek and Jaraduk, who have to pull their shots to avoid hitting the bystanders.

He calls back to the vesk "Oh, a Xun assassin? I wasn't in the running, I think. Not exactly assassin material." He vaguely gestures at all of himself, then claws down at the pink vesk once more.

Despite the flames, gunfire, blood, screams, and no doubt quickly cooling noodles, Del can't help but look at her friends and smile. What a bunch of glorious weirdos. Without meaning to, she hums along with Jaraduk's oddly familiar song as she takes a step back and casts out her arms. She batters her way into her foe's mind and casts their thoughts forward through time, forcing a day's worth of pains and thoughts upon them at once. "...and me."

Guarded step then casting day's weariness. If blue is down before her turn, she'll move instead of take her guarded step, placing her ten feet closer to pink, and target the pink one with her spell.
Untyped Damage: 4d8 ⇒ (1, 6, 4, 6) = 17
And fatigued for 5 rounds. DC 17 Will save. On a success, they take half damage and aren't fatigued.

"You should write us a theme song!" she calls out over her shoulder to Jaraduk. "That's catchy."

Melissa's attack goes wild as the pressure mounts. Jaraduk, seeming to have stolen her luck, crashes his doshko into the vesk that had previously evaded him. Strek loads up his gun, pointed right at the assassin's head. His focus allows the xun to stab him in the thigh. But when the vesk looks up with an evil grin, his face doesn't have time to register the shock before an enormous energy blast knocks her on her back.

Akh's whip flashes in the neon lights of the store signs, causing gas to gush from leaks in the vesk's armor. The Golden League assassin stands tall, nearly within reach of the floating android. Her growling voice scratches above the noise of the screaming bystanders. "You may have bite, but I can still take you down with -" Her threat is cut off as her mind is overwhelmed with fatigue and weariness. She collapses to the ground, dying.

The crowds continue to back away, not wanting to get involved. You check the bodies, to find that all three wannabe assassins are dead.

Medicine, DC 15:

It appears a poison was remotely injected into the assassin's by their armor...

Only some of you are bothered by their deaths. For the rest of you, it just makes the looting that much easier. Two of the vesk wear graphite carbon skin while the third wears d-suit I armor. They each have a explorer handcoil with two batteries and a basic survival knife. Much of their wealth resides in the augmentations fused within their skin, which won't be of much value to you. Thankfully, you find that each has a credstick loaded with 2000 credits and a message. ADVANCE PAYMENT. One of the Xun also has a full punch card for a local augmentation shop that offers the bearer 25% off the next augmentation installed. Slide 4 and 5 are up to date! Claim your loot.

You also decide to look Guess? over for a minute...

Life Science, 18:

You'll have to confirm in a real lab, but you're guessing that the experimental necrograft has some negative side effect: addling the mind for a short period of time after it's use. Congrats! Guess? got a free super charged Shadow Nerve... that Confuses the user for 1d4 rounds after use. It won't be that difficult to remove the necrograft if Guess? wishes, utilizing a medkit, medical lab, or medical bay on a starship. The operation isn't without risks, and could infect Guess? with the Devil Chills disease if the procedure went poorly and accidentally destroyed the undead organ in the process of removal.

Melissa spits the fire extinguisher out of her cheekpouch, puts the burning vesk out...wishing the smell didn't remind her of the noodles still warm in the left cheek pouch. Pretty sure what she's going to find, her biggest surprise is its in the armor and not in the teeth. She's still going to rapid fire chitter badly enough to offend any ysoki sailors that might be in earshot as her attempts at CPR turn into a series of rapid fire punches to the sternum.

"Who the CHITTCHITTCHITTER treats their employees like that? What the CHITTER is wrong with this universe? Its not enough you need to be shot at you need to make SURE you die if you loose. Wouldn't want the life of a peon to be INCONVENIENT " She stands up and punts the vesks helmet as far as it will go.

Of course he'll keep up the act till the Burning lizards are extinguished and its time to loot...

As combat winds down, Guess? snaps out of his confusion but is obviously oblivious to what happened to him as he celebrates:

"Wow! Did you see that guys? This augment shadow stepped me away from that assassin! Then I one-shotted two of them in the head! And that third one charged me so I smacked him unconscious with my rifle butt! I've never single-handedly taken down three vesk before! Woo-hoo! What a day!"

Then rubbing his forehead, "Oww, why does my head hurt?"

You grab the gear and stash it into your pockets. Stretching, and completely unclear on why Guess? started acting odder than usual, (after all, who needs the Sciences...) you grab your noodles and prepare to slurp them down. The taste of the cooling-but-still-warm noodles hits your tongue as the hubbub around you dies down. This walkway is close enough to the Spike that folks tend to forgive a little contained violence. The jingles from nearby shops splashes over you along with the neon lights. It's almost peaceful.

"Never trust a Hafrigek to do a Sinjin's work." You look ahead of you, across the picnic tables in the intersection, and see a familiar face. Her purple skin radiates life, even as her hands hold weapons of death. Deminda's smile is just as cold as the last time you saw her, on the video feed as you fled the trap she laid on Lord Sinjin's asteroid. She's flanked on either side by drow enforcers, each with their own signature weapon. Photos on Slide 2! "You have your orders. Make it quick, earn your promotion." SURPRISE!!!

The trio fire as one. Deminda's shuriken sinks deep into Akh's already weakened armor. The drow on the left fires a line of energy that singes a few civilians eating noodles, but bounces off Guess?. The drow on the right fires a cartoonishly large spiked shotgun into the crowd, which causes a bystander to scream in pain but bounces off Jaraduk.

The biggest downside of batches PBP initiative is it can be all or nothing... Deminda moves forward, pushing through the tables, and throws another shuriken at Akh. It sinks into the back of the neck of an innocent, whose face drops into their bowl of noodles.

He reaches down with his claw and swipes at the more injured of the two foes in reach (Deminda or yellow; +1 to attack roll vs yellow if that's the chosen target)

The arrow was indicating the direction of Melissas line. Which i THINK for melissa only matters if I crit someone.

I think the direction of your line matters, because if the attack roll misses the first person in line then the attack stops.

Melissa also fires into the crowd, though her line of energy is a bit more discriminatory. The eels shock both enemies, though they barely react to the pain. Strek runs past the lackey, enjoying their lack of threatening daggers (unlike Deminda, who is in the center of the group) and fires. The drow's back buckles for a moment before he recovers. Guess?'s shot comes in from the other direction, pounding the drow's spiked armor. Jaraduk takes advantage of the moment, his electrified doshko sending the drow to the floor. Deminda sighs at this. "Now, now. Don't take it all out on the help." She looks up at Akh with a soft chuckle. "Crush away, tin can." Even as she jibes, she does a quick shuffle away from the flying dragon. Her swift moves evade his whip, but throw off her aim as well. The shuriken goes just to the left of Akh's tail, thrown off by his hovering jets.

The jet of acid splashes across the room, melting several cheap plastic chairs and damaging Melissa and Jaraduk's armor while eating into Akh's more sensitive joints.

A line weapon is weird. It stops if it hits and does no damage. Like if I try to shoot a blue dragon and hit he just soaks up the electricity. If i miss the blue dragon the line tries to hit the red one.

Some lucky misses for me!

Akh peeks over his coils and sees the others are busy with blue. Reasoning that he's best set up to evade Deminda, he pursues her to the south-west "It sure is a shame. Sinjin used to be pretty nice in his own way. Back in the old days, he probably would have let you get off without almost any scars. It kind of makes me sad, the way you got treated." Even as Akh says that, his disintegrating claw is sweeping down to potentially give Deminda new scars to talk about.

Jaraduk's blow slips off the drow's armor and splits the same chair in two. Strek continues the trend, causing a plasti-steel chair to glow a hot red. Guess?, more offended by the spit than the blows, hits the drow in the shoulder. The drow smiles through the pain. "You're lucky it was us who was sent, and not the Persuaders. They would have fun with you.." He dives off to the right, opening his defenses and an AoO to Jaraduk. He gets the jump on Guess?, splashing a thin line of acid over the goblin and nuar.

She dives backwards, even as bystanders run away screaming, and throws another shuriken into Akh's armor to draw a small droplet of blood. She laughs and looks towards the rest of the group. "Why couldn't you have let those hobgoblins board. That would have made this so much easier."

After taking minor damage from the attack, Guess? retorts insultingly, "Yeaaaah, I see why they rejected you from their ranks - you're not very persuasive in a fight!"
