Whoops. Dotted in as my PC Elfino instead of Mandoo. Sorry about that.

Mandoo, out of curiosity, your character has a 10 in both charisma and intelligence, which is about what the average person has. Why are you playing him like he has a 5?
Mandoo doesn't speak the way he does because he's stupid; it's just that being raised in the wilderness by a reticent hermit means that he hasn't had a lot of practice at it. So he has trouble converting his thoughts into complex grammatically-correct verbal sentences and generally making himself understood.
In addition, due to his upbringing, he has a bit of an inferiority complex about his limited knowledge and experience of the world at large; he feels a bit stupid around even average people because of this and so tends to keep his thoughts to himself to avoid displaying this ignorance (actual or imagined).
You'll notice that Mandoo is only trained in skills that directly relate to his physical nature (even his Lore skills are Gladiatorial and Warfare). He has no training in any of the bookish or human-interaction skills and his experience in situations where he's been forced to use them has not been good, and occasionally even disastrous. So once again, he leaves that sort of thing to his more skilled colleagues unless there is no choice.
Ignorant and self-conscious he may be, but he's not stupid and can reason normally and figure things out for himself. His charisma is not the kind that manifests itself in an attractive physical presence or flowery speech. The root of his ability to bend others to his will is mainly based on his physical talents and tactical skills in battle.
What's interesting is that it appears that none of us is trained in Religion or has Wisdom of greater than 12. So in this adventure, it seems that Mandoo's Religion +1 is as good as anyone's and better than some.

remember, you’re the only person to have seen anything thus far, unless you say something, we all assume that we are still filling the trail.
Yep. I understand. It appears that Mandoo is ahead of the rest of the group and has come on the situation first. This is a common occurence for Mandoo. He's holding off on initiating action until he gets a better idea of what's going on or his hand is forced. The only person with whom he could possibly share what he's learned is Tiptip (Endra and Mandower not being on the map yet and Leyewin being too far away) and he doesn't want to give away the kobold's hidden position. Hopefully the rest of the group will join him before the encounter begins, but when that happens may not be up to him.

Endra, are you shooting at the scarecrow or the priestess? You just said you think the group of people are about to be the next victims, but then you shoot at the Teflar. Just trying to make sense of the situation before I come around the corner. Aren't we supposed to be helping Teflar (as far as we know?)
NOTE: It was Scarecrow who shouted, not Teflar

The scarecrow lady sees you lot coming as well as the Zon-Kuthon priestess and yells out You CAN"T take these people away from me. I won't LET you
Hrm, I might have read it wrong. I thought it was saying the priestess yelled that. She's shooting at whomever yelled that.

I just posted for Mandoo. When Endra reached him, he would have brought her up-to-date on who she should be targeting with her arrows.

Endra turns to follow the scarecrow's movements and grunts as a javelin flies at her but lands harmlessly nearby. She holds the scarecrows gaze, firing at her and then moving towards her to make the encounter closer.
[[A]] Strike: longbow [dice=Longbow attack vs scarecrow, P damage]1d20+9; 1d8
[[A]] Interact: stow longbow
[[A]] Stride: 25'
Endra, pay attention. Mando just shouted prior to your attack that the scarecrow appeared to be protecting a group of Dreamers. If I was in your shoes, I would have easily shot at the scarecrow first like you did, but once Mando made his statement, I would have changed tactics and gone after the priestess, who is attempting to attack the Dreamers. The only reason the Scarecrow attacked you (I would presume) is because you shot her.

Yep. There's actually an in game reason for that. However, it looks like scarecrow lady is going to have a lot more to worry about very soon.
Besides, there is a reason it's called 'Fog of War'.

Yeah, she was reacting to the javelin throw. It was a while later when I read that post and had plain forgotten what Mandoo had shouted. I'd honestly redo that turn if I could, but honestly, she'll just wake up next round and head the other way.

Nah, don't worry about it. I kind of like the way it's going; 'Fog of War' indeed. It's the kind of confusion that would easily happen in a real situation. Plus, Mandoo isn't always the clearest of speakers, so there's that to consider.

If you're unsure you missed something further you can always create 1st-level for free here: herolab online (if for nothing else than to spot check ... leveling up characters in 2e is super easy).

That's what I did when I was started. Not sure HO is up to date with all the new stuff yet though.

it is, but to get stuff outside of the CRB you have to pay (so, I guess to amend my statement, you can spot check for building from CRB).

If you have an Android device, then the Pathbuilder app is a must-have for character building/planning. The new Pathbuilder Online is still a work-in-progress, but there is enough there to help you out (looks like it's mostly spell stuff that's still missing).
I also use the PF2 Character tool, which is great, but doesn't hold your hand as much as Pathbuilder.
I usually start building a new character on paper and once it is somewhat fleshed out, I then use these tools to double-check my math and see if I missed anything. I also extensively use the Archives of Nethys website rather than limit myself to hard-cover books. They're up-to-date with all the latest Paizo published books, as well as any changes and additions to existing books. That way you don't miss any of the new Ancestries, Classes, Feats, etc. that come out on a regular basis. Best thing about it is that the info is all available for free. When people link to rules in their posts (which I do quite a bit - see Mandoo's last post), it is the Nethys site they usually link to.

You still need to pay for the books even though the info is free. It is in the PFS rules. On play-by-post or even Roll20 games it is not worth my time as a DM to verify it. In a face to face game, you bet I'm going to verify character sheets, sources and other things. Not thoroughly, but at least a quick browse.

Yes. I should have mentioned that. You need to own the book with the character features you want to use, but at least you can use Nethys to look inside before you buy. Since I travel a lot and currently live in Spain, I purchase all the Paizo publications as PDF files. Not only are they a little cheaper that way, but I can carry my entire extensive library of PFS2 books on my iPad Pro. So convenient to look things up and quickly search through the books for rules, lore, etc. I recommend buying them if only to support Paizo and their RPGs. I’ve received so much enjoyment from the game and the whole PbP organized play stuff that the cost of all the books is minor by comparison.

*nods* I should load all the PDFs on my phone as well as my laptop - especially if I don't have Internet connection - but yeah .. I own all the relative PDFs and use Nethys - I suspect most people do. Plus I always build on paper first.

Man, we finished the bounty in exactly 100 posts! That's awesome... so umm... what's next? lol
Another great adventure is what’s next. Apply the chronicle to your character and get them ready for their next outing. But first, if the character is still at level 1, then I usually review my build to see if anything should be tweaked based on my experience in the recently completed adventure. You can pretty much rebuild your character from scratch until it reaches 2nd level, at which point it is pretty much locked in. It is unusual that my original build survives unchanged to 2nd level.
For example... I’m really not happy with Mandoo. He’s my first character ever in Pathfinder and I took a version of him through all of Plaguestone (in campaign mode), so I have a soft spot for him, but he’s quite unsatisfying to play. Too much of a one-trick pony; all physical and nothing else. Great in battle but useless at pretty much anything else. Not sure there’s a way to save him in anything like his current form, so I may end up replacing him with something completely different (except for his name that is). While he’s still at level 1, I can do that.

Chronicle looks fine. Thanks for taking us through the bounty phaeton_nz. Mandoo has completed bounties 1-3 and will now wait patiently for a bounty 4+ opportunity to show up, though he may look a little different next time. I'll probably redo him to be a more ranged Dex-based monk that shoots arrows.
