concentration: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (3) + 13 = 16

The Manananggal tries to cast a spell defensively, but fails and the Hound Archon strikes at her.

Greatsword: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (5) + 9 = 14

His attack as bad as her concentration.

She casts Deep slumber on him.

will save: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (15) + 4 = 19

He ignores the spell.

Everybody else can now act. Then back around to Elena. The Hungry fogs are not coming out of their nests this round.

As the 'fog' seems to take shape, Elathras watches his friend for a moment. Relieved that she'd stepped back  he returns his attention to the task at hand.

Trusting that Axton and Elena will be able to deal with the 'Fog' Elathras steps into the room behind the 'hound' attacking the Manananggal repeatedly with his guisarme.

Good hope, 5 ft step, full attack: + 1 keen guisarme, WT, PA,FF
attack: 1d20 + 15 + 1 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (17) + 15 + 1 + 2 + 2 = 37 damage: 2d4 + 9 + 1 + 2 + 9 + 2 ⇒ (3, 2) + 9 + 1 + 2 + 9 + 2 = 28
attack: 1d20 + 10 + 1 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (12) + 10 + 1 + 2 + 2 = 27 damage: 2d4 + 9 + 1 + 2 + 9 + 2 ⇒ (3, 4) + 9 + 1 + 2 + 9 + 2 = 30

Rage Hit: 1d20 + 18 + 4 ⇒ (20) + 18 + 4 = 42

Acid: 1d6 ⇒ 4

Crit: 4d6 + 38 + 8 ⇒ (4, 5, 2, 5) + 38 + 8 = 62

Assuming a 31 confirms, that is 93 damage. 97 if not resistant to acid...I very much doubt that precise strike would go off as I don't think that I can get a flank. But if it did it would have broken 100

[b]"So, what's this called again? A Manananggal? Bharak asked, as he strode forward. Somewhat unnerved by Elena abrupt change in demeanor, he resolved to eliminate whatever it was that had gotten under her skin. Feeling protective of the cleric, his world focused to the task at hand as he delivered a brutal attack with his hammer.

Are you sure you want to do that?

Elena. You have to be a bit closer to the Fogs before you can chew the scenery. :)

Bharak & Elathras step into the room and end the horrible creature.

AC20, DR10/good or silver. Even with that good DR she's finished quickly as she only has 85HP.

As Bharak & Elathras continue their tag-team destruction of any enemies they face the Hungry fogs billow forth from the armor when you enter the room. They block the party from moving deeper into the manor.

Their action is to emerge. What are you doing now?

Black keep map updated.

"I did! And as eager as I am to see that happen, let's focus on the weird torso lady so long as the fogs are staying--"

"Nevermind! Here we go!"

Empowered Fireball: 10d6 ⇒ (5, 4, 3, 6, 1, 2, 1, 4, 3, 5) = 34 <--51 fire damage total, DC 21 Reflex for half, obviously target for right between them to get both of them

With the Manananggal defeated, Axton directs the spiritual dagger to attack the closest fog, for all the good it may do.

Spiritual weapon attack: 1d20 + 5 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 5 + 1 = 9
Force damage: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7

Finally, the hound archon (whose name is Mike) casts aid on themself, and moves to place themself between the fogs at the party.

Temp hp gained: 1d8 + 6 ⇒ (5) + 6 = 11

"Axton. You said hungry fogs could burn, right? And Vhane, could you shoot the floating torso while he does?" Elena says, putting aside her dislike of the gunslinger for now to try and grant him a Luck blessing for that task.

Vhane can roll all his D20's twice and take better this round. Also, inspire courage is active, so +4 hit and damage in total with good hope added.

Nodding, "I can." Taking aim with his crossbow, he watches the torso die. "Well, I could've." Cutting his focus toward the fog, "Not sure what me bolts can do against fog, but it looks like Mr. Mustache has it well under control."

Not sure if I should shoot the fog or not. Are they dead now?

ref save vs fireball: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (2) - 1 = 1
ref save vs fireball: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (16) - 1 = 15

Axton nearly vaporizes both of the fogs, his spiritual dagger then finishes one off.

AC5!

Vhane puts a bolt into the other and it fades away.

They have 59hp. After the fireball they have 8hp. They have DR10/magic. You have magic weapons. It is dead.

Silence falls apart from the screeches of the Wyverns in C6 who heard the Fireball and are coming to investigate.

What are you doing now?

Smiling as Axton blasts the 'fog' and Vhane finishes the last one off, Elathras nods "Well done Vhane, between Axtons fireballs and your bolts, it certainly makes it easier on us frontliners."

Hearing the screeching of the Wyverns, Elathras shifts his polearm to one hand and motions for the others to get inside the building. Points out, "If the Wyverns heard the noise, they may not bother inspecting if the doors are shut."

If everyone moves inside the room, Elathras will shut the doors.

Bharak nodded and motioned for everyone to come through the door. Seeing that Elena was somewhat shaken by the encounter, he gave her an encouraging nod.

"Right. Let's try this door..." Bharak said.

C4 and then C5? Will just take 10 on perception, making it a 31, and 33 for traps, with another +2 when dealing with stone

Are you sure you want to do that?

You get inside and close the doors before any of the Wyvern's can see you. Judging by the annoyed screeches they are disappointed by the lack of any fresh meat. They do not attempt to breech the doors though.

The door to C4 is not locked or trapped. Elena notes that her painting described this as a stable, with C5 the carriage house. The notes on the stables added "Pale stranger. Be polite!".

The fight ends so quickly that Elena is unsure of what she just saw and she shakes herself out of her indecision on Bharak's urging. I'm fine, thanks. Just... i thought i saw..." She shakes her head and looks back at the map. "This room Warns us of a thing called a 'pale stanger' and asks us to be polite."

"I'm not sure what that is. Wish I'd been more specific in the future. Or maybe I couldn't be because I didn't know the first time around?" She wonders and sighs. "I just know there's some Aeon out there debating whether or not to strike me down for meddling with space and time in the way no mortal ever should even if it was the device rather than me. Mostly."

”Best not to think about it too much. Far too many mages have gone insane by asking too many questions about how the world works. Sometimes it’s best to just roll with it all.”

Relieved that Elena had gotten a grip on her fears, Elathras, hearing the words 'asks us to be polite' raises an eyebrow, "But I'm always polite." As he considers what a 'pale stranger' may be.

Feeling a little out of depth in the conversation about Aeon's, Elathras nods his head in agreement with Bharak, "Yes, let's just 'Roll with it'."

He pauses cocking his head quizzically, "Can we avoid the 'Pale Stranger' all together? Or will we at least need to tip our hat and nod, so future you will know that to leave the note about?"

"If the Shard is in this keep, it makes sense that it would be further in rather in than in one of these first few rooms. If we are trying to avoid these battles, we should go straight that way."

Axton points to the east.

"There's something to be said for not leaving enemies behind us, however."
