            I'd be in favor of getting a fifth, and would welcome Teruko back gladly should she turn up again. I don't mind waiting a bit longer to make a decision though, as we don't seem to be in imminent danger of needing a full divine caster to save us *Crosses fingers* :P

            Posting this to all my games.
I'm sorry about the delay in posting working a lot of OT to try and keep up with inflating prices. And on top of that the apartment office (which my apartment is attached to) is under heavy construction so, given that I work nights, sleep is hard to come by.
I should be able to post tomorrow as it's my day off.

            As for the discussion about the Naturalist performance working on humans, James Nelson author of the archetype wrote:
It works on any creature type; the Knowledge skill lists which creatures go with which type, but off the top of my head I think it's:
arcana = constructs, dragons
dungeoneering = oozes, vermin
local = humanoids
nature = animals, monstrous humanoids, plants
planes = outsiders
religion = undeadDoesn't matter of they're "people" or "monsters" in the common sense of the world, just their creature type. DC to identify is 10+CR as baseline, and can be modified if they are very common or very rare.
By the way...
I should tell you that the "Archivist can't take 10" thing is an error in the RAW. The Lore Master ability was meant to be just shifted in level, not actually changed. When I was writing the archetype, for some reason I didn't retype the full ability. I should've simply written it like this:
Lore Master (Ex): An archivist gains this ability at 2nd level rather than 5th level.
Just putting a pointer to the normal bard ability would've avoided any omission or ambiguity. If you are a player, you can tell the GM this is the RAI and an error by the author of the section that should've been the RAW. However, I am not the official errata-giver, so if the GM is a stickler for official errata (or none at all), you are out of luck.
Oh, also another thought... since our healer Teruko seems to be out of the game would it be okay for me to swap out some spells to make Riftun more of a support/healer rather than pure support?

            On the missing healer front, I'd like to think Riftun is now carrying one of the two wands of the cure light wounds with Teruko missing, if that's okay? If not hers, Andy would give him his own.
Are you condiering taking cure moderate wounds then, Riftun? I'm not sure that's worth giving up glitterdust even if we don't have a healer. Aside from the aoe blind and large amount of damage prevention it probably causes, without it, we have no counter to invisibility, and Andy would have no way to activate sneak attack outside of flanking. But in this specific case with Andy just being luck-critted, I don't know.
Yeah, it does suck not having a full divine caster to just innately have it anymore :(

            Sorry, which penalties are you referring to, Yuto?
The +1 hit from having a +2 str bonus cancels the -1 hit penalty from enlarge. Actually, I forgot to add that point of damage from having 24 str instead of 22 so all his strikes would have done 1 more. Also, I am math-deficient apparently as the enlarged damage from a Fauchard is 2d8 base and not 2d6.
Riftun's song cancels out the -1 ac from enlarge. The -2 dex does not affect his ac as it drops from 14 to 12 in a fullplate, which is still the max it allows.
His base ac is 20, +2 from mutagen, +4 from shield = 26.
His base hit is +8, +2 from mutagen, +1 from Riftun's song, -1 PA = +10.
I'm not sure what I'm missing?

            I actually meant the AC penalties, I saw Andochtuir's base AC is 20 plus 4 shield 24 I thought you might not be counting them in, but I see you have everything under control!

Hm. I'd say you can retrain for it, sure. Just because I've already set the precedent for Andochtuir and retraining, so I don't really want to make an exception.

            Regarding our research into these raiders, I know there was some sort of spell that allowed you to drink the blood of a recently deceased to gain some measure of its owner's memories.
However, I've never used this spell myself and searches for these parameters come up empty. Does anyone else perhaps know which spell this is?
Edit: I think the spell is Blood Biography, but reading it now, it seems none of us can cast it at present unless Koya leveled up to level 5. It does seem though that this spell used on the woman's fresh wounds would reveal exactly what sort of geas effect was used to kill her from a distance. Perhaps we could afford a scroll of it for Riftun?
Anyone else have a better idea?

            I thought about the corebook speak with dead spell, but Yuto has not magical training to know about those things, and I thought that if the adventure was taking so much efforts on not letting us know who they are it is for some reason anyway and forcing it could only derail things.

            To answer your question from the Gameplay tab, Andochtuir - I'm not sure how much the party has in gold at the moment - I've been juggling the rest of the game and relying on you folks to keep track of it. I'll try to be better about that in the future. However, as for Teruko's claimed loot... I'd say that we can sell it and if she (somehow) comes back, we can handwave it somehow.

            Selling most of what we have found and no one claimed we get 4945,3 gp each of us four.
Items of interest no one has claimed (not included on the number given above):
- mithral chain shirt
- cloak of resistance +1
- wayfinder
- alchemist fire (x8)
- diverse assortment of healing potions and scrolls
We do not have value for some items:
- Kikonu pearls
- Kikonu darkwood and silver disk that depicts Brinewall under the noonday sun
- Kikonu's Dancing Wasp
- Pazuzu priest scroll
- Shrine footlocker scrolls
- The Phantom shiny pieces of glass
- The statuette of Pazuzu
- The decapus egg

            Odd, thought i'd posted here yesterday. Anyway thanks for updating the loot list Yuto, and of course I don't expect the GM to do that for us next to all his/her other tasks :)
On the unclaimed loot I would like the cloak of resistance, but since I dont think Riftuj has had anythinf yet while Andy has the +1 longsword, I think he should have priority unless he doesn't want it.
My shopping list now would probably be basic stuff on making my weapons and armor magical, perhaps a cloak of resistance.

            I think Andy could use the cloak :)
Also if we didn't we can sell the wasp summoning weapon we got from Kikonu as Riftun probably wont use it much xP

            Looking over the list again, Teruko apparently also has a +1 cloak... so if her few magical items are at the group's disposal, perhaps Andy and Riftun could both take one.
Mithral chain shirts, of which we have an unclaimed one, are pretty sweet too. If Riftun has no armor, he could wear it? Very light, and it has no armor class penalty so it doesn't hamper his skills or bard casting I believe.
Upgrades and costs:
+1 Coldiron Fauchard 2320 g (he doesn't upgrade the coldiron one for now as that costs an extra 2000 g which seems like a waste at the moment)
+1 added to fullplate 1000 g
Claims +1 cloak of resistance.
Left: At least 1625 gp to save for later.
@GM Aganhei could you give us the monetary worth of the unvalued items Yuto posted for budget reasons? I assume we can also pay some gold here to have wizards identify the few remaining unknown items?
Though, on the subejct of remaining items, I seem to remember we were in favor of destroying the Decapus egg back then... do we still have it?

            Yeah, I'd say you can take the cloak for either Riftun or Andochtuir. It does look a little silly, because it's made for a small character, but it remains magical. :P
Oh, let me check what the unvalued items were.
- Kikonu's Pearls are worth 100 gp each for a total of 500 gp.
- The disc was used to open the vault in Brinewall - I don't think you picked it back up, though if you did it probably wouldn't be worth too much? I'd have to think on it.
- The priestess' scroll is dispel magic, so might not want to sell that.
- The shrine footlocker scrolls are cure moderate wounds, remove disease, and restoration (not lesser)
- The shiny glass isn't worth much - it was just pretty, so that's why she had it.
- The statuette of Pazuzu is broken - you folks shattered it because it was cursed.
- The decapus egg is... assuming you didn't destroy it (I think you did), the people who would want to buy it are few and far between, but you'd probably be able to sell it for... 300 gp, I'll say, but you need to roll Gather Information to find a buyer.

            You can make a caster level check. You need to roll a 3 or above on a d20 since tou are 2 levels short and it is on your spell list.
Andy will buy a barkskin scroll and putdown 125 g more to pay a third of the haste scroll.

            Actually i'll pay half the haste scroll as it was my idea, and it only really benefits Yuto and me mostly (and maybe Zaiobe?).
