Doing good, just had a busy weekend. Teruko doesn't have anything she wants to do in town, so other than the conversation with Ameiko (which can be continued in spoilers) she's ready to move on.

Personally I think it might be worth moving us all the way to Brinewall; I suspect part of the slowdown is just people not knowing what to do along the way.

My current thoughts are that you might not be the first to have come into Brinewall recently, and the forthcoming PC might be a survivor of those who arrived before you.

It's actually me that went wrong with the math. I had 9 at level 1 (d8 +1 Con), then should have gone to 15 (half d8 + 1 Con). Instead for some reason I had myself at 13.

Talents Argument:
As for the talents, the archetype doesn't say you have to follow level requirements. It just says you get one from the list and can choose another any time you'd get a revelation.

Meanwhile the Investigator Talent Alchemist Discovery explicitly states: "When selecting an alchemist discovery, he must be high enough level to qualify for that discovery, using his investigator level as his alchemist level to determine if he qualifies." As another example the Slayer Talent Rogue Talent (say that one five times fast) states: "Any talent effects based on rogue level use the slayer’s class level. If the rogue talent has a prerequisite, the slayer must fulfill the prerequisite before taking that rogue talent."

Now, I can see the argument that because it doesn't explicitly say I do get to ignore level requirements/prerequisites, I still can't take those talents now. However, that would mean the only talents I qualify for are Inspired Alertness and Hard To Fool, both of which are extremely underwhelming compared to the revelations I would normally get at this level. For example Hard to Fool is a once-per-day reroll on a single Sense Motive check, whereas Focused Trance is a floating +20 to any Int-based skill check that can be used a number of times per day equal to my Charisma modifier. Inspired Alertness is even worse.

That all being said, I'll abide by your final decision and change if you still feel I need to follow the level requirements. (It's not like I took this archetype for optimization purposes anyway.)

I'd say you can take one of them, but... hm. I'd like to rule that you should take an actual revelation with the extra revelation feat, because the skill challenges will become quite broken with that at the moment.

Would that be a fair compromise?

That's perfectly fair. I'll take Amazing now and plan on getting Tenacious at level 7, (when I next get a regular revelation), if that sounds okay to you. I'll decide on the revelation a bit later today.

Thanks, Torra. I think it looks good, though I remain somewhat confused as to how Burn works with the Stoneflesh thing. I think 1 level of Burn is nonlethal equal to your level, but I can't quite remember how that interacts with the DR.

If they want to build an arcane, it might be a student of the Twilight Academy that decided to follow the caravan after all, trying to proof or earn treasure.

If they go for something more rare, like an ifrit sorcerer, they can be in the ruins, taken there by some curse.

Good to see - what Armor does Yuto want to specialize in? Because the yojimbo archetype specifies that you need to choose one type of armor for that to affect.

I also want to give Hana the chance to react to Ameiko before continuing, but if she doesn't within five or six hours, I'll move us on.

I've not heard anything from Hana since Tuesday, so I suspect RL demons have gotten their claws into her player.

Do you guys want to head into Brinewall with me botting her, or should we hold out for a little longer? I can do some more NPC stuff, but it's up to you guys. I feel a little bad, especially since Ameiko is Hana's crush.

On this note, I've found that Flesh of Stone would let her get up to DR 2/adamantine at 3rd level with one point of burn - it gets +1 DR for every two levels above level 2, with an additional point if you accept one point of burn.

For campaign traits my recommendation would be not requiring them but letting people take them with mild reflavoring if they so desire. Maybe someone wants to become Sandru's best friend even if they didn't grow up with him.

The good thing about the caravan is there is certain level of fuzzy definition of who is within. So it would not be unbelievable that a couple people that have remained in the background suddenly decide to step up where the 'previous' heroes have decided to remain in the caravan this time.

About @Armor Expertise, what would be a good choice for Yuto in this campaign? I guess he will not be able to afford any good armor for a long time, so unless you allow him to retrain the class feature every now and then, I will have to leave it undefined to avoid locking him to scrap.
