Sorry Rhys for such a board statement and no offence here is intended.

In my latest adventures I've encountered a number of characters with disability's NPC's with cultural stigmas etc.

I think it made me so much more aware of these things happening in real life.

I've tried to bring Tara's awareness of differences beyond what she's encountered on a typical intergalactic cruise ship into her encounters. you will notice she is unsure of her interactions with Kat as she's uncomfortable that she may of been unsympathetic to her kind in the past.

Just realized when I copied and pasted my ooc tags and overcharge roll on my first turn I forgot to take off the +1 from combat tracking. My first round attack roll should have been a +7 instead of +8 giving me a 17 against EAC.

@Tara, I've always tried to make Kat kind of blunt and to-the-point, to the point of being uncomfortable sometimes. I also tried to give her a different socio-economic background, but haven't considered some of the other ideas about what being an android could mean to other people. Something to think about for the future of this character, thanks!

Just afraid my bad luck for combat in this scenario will rub onto the amazing Obozaya, she is great!

I see, yes roleplaying is great and helps to spread awareness to a lot of differences. And right from the start for Starfinder blindness or deafness is covered. I yet have to encounter a player who made a character blind or deaf by choice. The mute Oda is a great idea! Too bad the player from Oda is no longer active right now. Hope they are okay.

For me i still learn so much more about pronouns and it's not an easy task in the German language.


At this point you have defeated the final boss (ooze). I am willing to hand wave the final two zombies, or you can stay in init if you want to try to catch the shirren. Ooc it is unlikely you will catch them though (especially if you stop to deal with the zombies). Rhys is the only one remotely close enough and even then she will mostly have to double move just to keep up them in line of sight and I don't think she can slow them down on her own. The scenario doesn't have any penalty for letting them escape. It kind of assumes they will attack you before letting you in the house and then lure you to the ooze and release it as a last ditch effort when you break into the house. It doesn't give a lot of guidance if you try the diplomatic approach. Between Tara's Diplomacy rolls and no one threatening to turn them in, which was their main trigger for combat, I decided to allow it as an alternative and have no problem giving full rewards for that. Them using the ooze as a distraction to escape is something I made up myself.

Sorry this dropped on the weekend we finally gained permission to travel to our holiday home. I normally would of had Wi-Fi access but some storm damage took out the our receiver and its taken a few days to source a replacement. Back home now and it seems we look like were finishing.

A quick party could certainly kill or NLD the shirren before they release the ooze. I would think the PCs would still want to destroy the ooze though.

Well that game didn't quite go as expected at the start but I am glad we stuck it out and finished it! Thank you to our GM for keeping us going and the remaining players for keeping things fun and interesting!

It's interesting to know how it could have ended a few ways, and that ours was fairly unique.

Phew, i survived as level 1 (one!) in the higher subtier.

Oh i think i handwaved that my players were able to kill an Ooze trapped in a container from the outside. How hard should that be?

Likewise Its been a fun time. I'm sure the others would of been fine in the 2nd half if they had stayed. Though its been such an unusual time and who knows what personal issues might have also contributed to them leaving.
