What do we have that we can chuck over the top of the cliff to drive off the goats without having to be up on the cliff ourselves? Do we still have that bottle of alcohol that can be rigged to explode?
Taking this to mean that Ria has the Bottle of Gin Worn on her person?

I'd say as fast as possible. It might scare one of them off. And otherwise, precooked dinner.

GM rainzax |

Mechanically, this will be Create a Diversion, but if you can describe it in such a way as to justify a different skill, you can roll that skill instead of Deception for the same effect (with the Goats gaining a bonus to their Perception DC based on the description).

Climbing is a Two-handed Activity.
Meaning that while you are suspended, if you need your hand for something else (such as Drawing an item or using Somatic components) you will need to make use of the Release and Interact actions to let go of and re-grab the Rope or Wall when you are finished (Unless of course your skill at climbing allows you to do so one-handedly!).

GM rainzax |

Steps from behind Wizard's booth...
At the current pace, we will likely be around half way by the time Outpost IV starts, unless things pick up.
...and retreats back into it!

Ok, thanks. I just found out today that I really must play Ria in 1-03: Escape from the Grave next time I see it offered (a rescue mission to get people and artefacts out of the Gravelands? She'd be first in line!). I should probably go read all the blurbs for the adventures I haven't played yet and, like, plan stuff...

There's a big issue with time zones. I live in Europe. The Americans I do play with on Discord have a 6 to 9 hour time difference. That tends to make planning games problematic. :P Running after dinner time for me would mean you're playing anywhere from early in the morning to middle of the day (and having to listen to my horrible accent). :P
I'm in [ulr=https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/8/88/World_Time_Zones_Map.png]the orange +1 zone[/url] if you're interested. :P

Oh, sorry, I meant via Discord text chat, not live voice chat. I have work and 3 kids, I can't do anything fun for multiple hours in a row, lol. But we should move this to direct messages so we're not filling up rainzax's game with random unrelated chatter.

Hey guys, I'm going out of town for the next couple of days.
I don't want to slow things down so just bot me as necessary.
Ulfgar will hunt prey, twin takedown and strike again with a dagger if he hasn't already hunted prey (he has flurry.)
If he's already within range of his hunted prey, he'll twin takedown then strike with his dagger then interact with it to get the block bonus.

Re-Activating Bot Tree!
Hey folks, to move our game along, I'd like to put forth the following "buddy system" where each player vouches to "bot" the character alphabetically Before and After their own character if 24 hours has passed since that player being "up" has caused the action to pause:
Awalè
Dorgen
Ria
Ulfgar
Cheers!

GM rainzax |

Opening tactical discussion here, if needed!

![]() |

I think Ulfgar needs to take the Escape action. I think you can Aid Another by making a DC20 check, but I don't think you can free him directly.

![]() |

Lol I was thinking that I have no diplomacy and definitely didn't want a old Orc in the cottage replay. Dorgen got a clutch roll though! Familiar enemies must be easier to negotiate with than new ones ;)

GM rainzax |

At party discretion, opening "tactical" discussion here!

Ria, you got Magic Weapon'd. The spear is still on the ground, though. Would you prefer a different weapon?
Spear is in hand.

Ah yeah. In her post she said she released her spear, but if you say so.

GM rainzax |

Got it since disarm has the strike trait and that's one of the basic actions animals can do it should be able to use disarm. Thanks
Where are you seeing the "strike" trait in Disarm?

![]() |

It's not a strike but it is an "attack."
So, I think because you can tell a companion to strike but not attack, you can't have it disarm.

GM rainzax |

Ria Strides to be next to Awalè, then tumbles through the Ogre's legs, landing opposite it's side...
Reading Tumble Through, Ria would need to use two move actions to make it across.
Do you see why?

Yeah, it's difficult terrain, looking at the map she doesn't have enough movement to get through him. Ignore the 2nd attack (it didn't hit anyway). She moved twice than attacked.

Spear is a one-handed weapon.
Battle Medicine can be used One-Handed (Click > Scroll to "Core Rulebook" > "Page 258")
Quite frankly, I thought Ria hucking the torch to free up that hand was a brilliant improvisation!

You're right I mixed up strike and attack in my head.

Bear with, we are nearing the end!
When you get a minute, please fill out the Contact Sheet listed in my GM Bar.

Don't wanna steal Rainzax's thunder, but I promised to run Escaping the Grave for Ria after we're done. You're all invited to participate, of course! :)
I'll probably start next week Friday at the earliest, have some stuff to do first, but don't want to wait too long if that's okay.

Hey guys!
Sorry for vanishing I had some health problems and has been unable of going to work and as such use internet... I don't want to go into details but I'm better now.
Again, I'm really sorry for abandoning the game, I was having a lot of fun with you all.

Welcome back! Glad you're still alive and (sort of) healthy. Sorry you missed the combats, we could've used you. :)

Oops, I meant to message you, but in the jumble of all the other Outpost games starting I forgot. I found out I had forgotten I'd actually signed up to play Escaping the Grave (really early in Outpost IV's recruiting). I got a message from a GM going "hey, you're signed up for this, but you've never dotted, and the table's short if you don't come..."
So... I created a new character, Ria's Wizard husband, who is tragically never going to be adventuring in the same place as Ria. They are going to keep narrowly missing each other or something, because I can't play two of my characters at once, lol.
So, you're off the hook for that (for me at least, you can still run it with everyone else if you want, of course). I'm in the middle of it with another character now because I forgot I'd signed up and the table wasn't going to happen without me >.<

We're just glad you're better! We were all worried because the last thing we saw from you was "I'm not feeling good"...

To echo what everyone else has said just glad that you're ok. Happy to hear you're feeling ok and cultist didn't grab you ;)

Thanks for the PbP! I haven't done that many yet, but you're certainly the best GM I've had. I had a blast.
Everyone else, thanks for joining in as well, it was great fun playing with you.

I also got my chronicle. It looks good.
And, to second Dorgen, you were an excellent GM. Strong both with the mechanics and organization and with the descriptive text.
