If anyone would like a masterwork cutlass by the way, Reijo has a spare he's not using. It's yours if you want it, just let me know.

Reijo wouldn't simply give something of value away. He's hoping to hock it when he gets a chance. But we can just say in story your character pays him for it. Also, it's not necessary but I'd be happy to roleplay haggling over it if you'd like. :)

"If" is the operative word in my last post, LOL...

Rather than wait for Camris to clarify the path ahead (Jungle? Beach? Island hop across the water...), I preemptively posted that conditional action. Our group had earlier actually managed to navigate around the island along the beach for a good amount of time; we might need or want to do the same now.

Or at least for now. We can probably move more quickly by beach, perhaps increasing the odds of catching up with those who walked off with our two missing companions before they get eaten. We can seek the cover of jungle later for better concealment, when we think we're getting closer to the lighthouse.

Of course, if we do need to go through jungle and there is already a trail to follow, then there could certainly be no need to cut any vegetation, too. But if there is no easy path through dense jungle and that's where we need to go, I'm not sure how else we're going to get through that.

No worries! I know I miss things too (especially when I post late at night).

I just wanted to explain that before it potentially snowballs further.

Hopefully we do need to traverse the jungle, as I can think of a funny retort. But I'm waiting for Camris to confirm the terrain ahead first. Before our characters start arguing about how to deal with vegetation, only to have Camris step in and say "You're walking along the beach..." And apparently hallucinating about walking through a jungle... :D

No counters are on the map yet; I figure you guys would get a glimpse over the wall furtively then go back and tell the rest. Maybe sketch out a crude map in the dirt, then you pick a way you want to get in and tell me.

Reijo walked up to the gate and knocked twice. He did not climb. Reijo's hoping his cutlass meets the cannibal's face before the surprise wears off (hopefully!).

He's also hoping Shaedeen and (if she made it) Sunny can also sneakily move in to flank the sleepy guard with him, perhaps as the gate starts opening.

The lizard seems about 20 ft. away from the guard and is chained, so I'm not expecting it to be trouble - unless the guard is alerted to danger and unchains the lizard to sic it on us.

We can decide about the lizard later, but I'm thinking the guard probably has a key to its chain. We take the key, and feed the guard's body to it to help keep it quiet. Not sure if letting it free will be better or worse for us (i.e. it might try to eat us anyway, LOL).

I work a 4 and 4 schedule with 12 hour days.

My most active posting time is during my work week, So If I don't really respond for a couple of days, its due to me not wanting to type things out on my phone.

Camris does go away for a month or even two months at a time sometimes. Unlike most GMs who do that though, he usually returns. We've been playing together for years, so hang tight everyone. :)
