"I wish I could say something classy and inspirational, but that just wouldn't be our style. Pain heals, chicks dig scars, glory lasts forever. It's been an honor sharing the field of battle with you."
- Shane Falco, The Replacements

Straug Fireborn |

Indeed! Lets hope the cultists dont wipe the floor with us, anxious to see how we fare this round.

Falkwyn Hawksblood |

Sorry for the lack of post yesterday. Surprised by overtime at work. Will post later today. Feel free to rp Falkwyn if needed before that.

Straug Fireborn |

Cathoris I'm going to hold off posting until you do, if you can somehow take out the guy in front of Straug its a clear path from his greataxe to her skull!

Cathoris |

Well, that would have been nice, had I not missed.

Straug Fireborn |

I think it was me that was lacking. I was waiting for Cathoris but the best laid plans....

Kronk the Cook |

So... We got at that point! Leveling!
How would it work, GM? Do we get PC classes now, or would it be NPC again? Or would we maybe switch from our NPC classes to PC classes?
Would I be able to retrain something (like feats) in any case? Especially for stuff that I already have (like Unarmed Strike for example).
Thanks! Happy to be in the game and having fun with my hard hitting cook :)

GMMichael |

you can switch to a pc class now. so you be a 1st/1st. Like any other multiclass character.
skills of the new class are added to your class skills so youll have an expanded list of class skills.
for retraining-
Retraining takes all your attention for 8 hours per day for a number of days based on what you’re retraining. You can’t perform any other strenuous activities while retraining, such as marching, adventuring, or crafting magic items. You can retrain only one thing at a time; you must complete or abandon a particular training goal before starting another one. Abandoning unfinished training means you lose all progress toward that training’s goal and all costs associated with that training.
Unless stated otherwise, retraining costs gp equal to 10 × your level × the number of days required to retrain. This is normally paid in full at the start of the retraining period, but the GM might allow you to divide these payments over multiple days. At the GM’s discretion, this training cost could be up to 50% higher or lower, depending on situational factors within the settlement—availability of trainers, local economy, cost of materials, and so on.
per the rules. My thoughts. Is to take out the the 'bold'
and to make it a during adventuring thing. Lets figure out how long the retraining takes. and it happens at the end of those days....in game
a feat takes 5 days.

Looking for a non-spoilery answer for the following since Hollow's Last Hope doesn't seem to have a player guide and I've never played through it before:
What would be a reasonable favored enemy for a Ranger in the Darkvale Moon area? Would Falkwyn be limited to what we've already fought, (humanoids and fey) or are there other enemies in the region that would be reasonable for him to pick?
Don't want to meta-game, but likewise, I don't want to pick something that would render the choice practically useless, you know?
Any advice?

Character Updated in Profile.
Definitely going to need to do some in-character shopping before we leave the Hollow again.

Thallin "Thal" Braspur |

Also updated and agree that a shopping trip would be great! Was waiting to do that until after we actually get the money from Payday in case anything is screwy with that and/or to help ensure I don't try to buy anything that wouldn't be available (and of course, Thal would want to save some of it to take Janera on a nice date) :=)

Alexander Valindir |

sorry all, had some family stuff come up over the end of this past week.
So does this mean that martial characters (if they chose warrior NPC) will have an additional +1 BaB over others? (so, +2 vs 0 for 1d10 and 1d8 characters)
roguehp: 1d8 ⇒ 8

Falkwyn Hawksblood |

It should, I think. You add the new class level to the first just like any multi-class.
* He said without conviction, since he wasn't the GM, but it was the understanding upon which he had based his own updated character. *
:P

Alexander Valindir |

Rogue (phantom thief)
HP: +10
BaB: +0
Saves: +2 ref
Feats: weapon finesse(class)
Sneak attack: N/A (traded out)
Skills: 8+int+FCB total: 11
Acrobatics +1
Disable Device +2
Stealth +1
Know. Arcana +1
Know. Dungeoneering +1
Climb +1
Escape Artist +1
Know Planes +1
Perception +1
Sleight of hand +1
Background skills:
Appraise +1
Know. History +1
A phantom thief adds Handle Animal, Heal, Ride, Spellcraft, Survival, and all Knowledge skills to her list of class skills. Furthermore, she selects one of her rogue class skills and adds half her rogue level on all skill checks using that skill. At 3rd level and every 2 rogue levels thereafter, she selects an additional rogue class skill and adds half her rogue level on all skill checks using that skill as well. Starting at 4th level, if the phantom thief is an unchained rogue, she gains rogue’s edge skill unlocks with each of these skills rather than selecting one skill every 5 levels, and she adds half her rogue level to her number of ranks to determine when she receives a skill unlock (so a 7th level rogue (phantom thief ) with 7 ranks in a chosen skill would count as having 10 ranks and receive the second skill unlock).
This ability alters the rogue’s class skills and replaces sneak attack and trapfinding. For an unchained rogue, it also alters rogue’s edge and replaces debilitating injury.
understood- though, would you be open to fractional BaB? (1d6 gets .5 every level, d8 .75, d10 1) :3

A few questions:
-I'm the only one that used a hero point I think so I'll have one less than everyone else.
-As Warrior then Warpriest I think my BAB stays at +1 correct?
-How do you want to handle spells? I'm prepping (for next day anyway):
Orisons: Detect Magic, Light, Stabilize
1st: Shield, Murderous Command

Thallin "Thal" Braspur |

Oops! Good catch, Straug. I should have 2 hero points. Updated that on my character stat line.
Also, nice narrative of converting to a warpriest, Straug :=)
