Please post:
Player Name:
Character Name:
Character Level:
PFS Number:
Faction:
Slow/Normal Progression:
Day Job:
In addition, two atypical requests:
1. Please let me know if you (the player) or your character has played any of the following scenarios:
• #0-05: Mists of Mwangi
• #0-35: Voice in the Void
• #2–11: The Penumbral Accords
• #3–07: Echoes of the Overwatched
• Grand Convocation 4712 AR (PaizoCon 2012 special event)
• #4–09: Blakros Matrimony
• #5–03: The Hellknight’s Feast
• #5–14: Day of the Demon (previously numbered #4–EX)
• #5–23: Cairn of Shadows
• #6–02: The Silver Mount Collection
• #7–09: The Blakros Connection
• #8–99: The Solstice Scar (any version)
• #9–05: Call of the Copper Gate
• #9–17: Oath of the Overwatched
2. As of right now, there are 5 players who have indicated interest. I have three options:
(a) I can run the scenario with 5 players. (Pros: you may know each other already, characters get to do proportionally more; Cons: scenario designed for 6 players so it'll be a tad harder)
(b) I can recruit a 6th off the forums. (Pros: fills game, may fill a skill gap; Cons: will delay the game by a few days)
(c) I can wait until we see what characters people are bringing, and then decide. (Pros: most flexibility; Cons: could delay the game by more than a few days if people are slow in checking in)
Please let me know if you have a strong preference.
Aiden Richter
|
Player Name: Enchanter Tim
Character Name: Aiden Richter
Character Level: Slayer 4/Rogue2
PFS Number: 1142-7
Faction: Dark Archive
Slow/Normal Progression: Normal
Day Job: Intimidate: 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (9) + 17 = 26
1. Aiden has played #0-05: Mists of Mwangi, but as a player, I've played many of those scenarios. If you need to know which ones, let me know.
2. I don't mind delaying the game some. B or C is fine with me. If people want to run with 5, that's fine too, but I don't mind waiting to give someone else a chance to join us.
Aiden is a melee debuffer. He can specializes in Dirty Trick, especially when he can get a flank. He has nets and tanglefoot bags, and he can demoralize with his +17 Intimidate skill.

I'd like to bring this character. He just hit 7th level so might skew the numbers up so let me know if I need to play another character. Also, I'll need to actually level him up before we start. He's the only character I have free who's played any of the scenarios in question.
Player Name: EbonFist
Character Name: Djorn
Character Level: Ranger 6/Fighter 1
PFS Number: 143948-2

1: Below are the ones from the list I have played and the 2 played by this character.
#0-05: Mists of Mwangi – Djorn
#4–09: Blakros Matrimony
#5–03: The Hellknight’s Feast
#5–23: Cairn of Shadows – Djorn
#8–99: The Solstice Scar (any version)
2: I don't mind going with 5 but it seems selfish since I'm sure someone will want to play.

| GM Watery Soup |
Okay, I'll recruit one more; also, we'll be waiting for someone to finish Gameday with their preferred character, so it might be 1.5-2 weeks before the game actually starts.
| GM Watery Soup |
I have it on good authority that the other game just finished, so I'll post a recruitment and aim to start on Monday.

Okay, I think we have 6 ... waiting for one more to check in. We should be at full speed later this week.
I forgot to add #5-09 (The Traitor's Lodge) to the list of scenarios I was to ask about. Have any of these characters played it, and if so, do they have the "Acquainted with Aslynn" boon?

The slides are active. Please put your icon, Perception modifier, and Initiative modifier on Slide 2.

Djorn

Probably worth mentioning - Djorn's Favored Terrain is Urban - +2 bonus on initiative checks and Knowledge (geography), Perception, Stealth, and Survival.
And he has Terrain Bond from his Guide Archetype so all my allies within line of sight who can hear me get the bonuses to Perception, Stealth, and Survival, too.

This is an FYI that I'm going to be away and without access to internet this coming Saturday and Sunday. I will return Sunday evening, when I will catch up on weekend posts.
| GM Watery Soup |
#0-05 was the first PFS scenario I played with a non-pregen character. It was Diazepane's inaugural scenario.
Diazepane got monkeyed.
| GM Watery Soup |
"There's no point living if you can't feel alive." -whoever Sophie Marceau played in that James Bond movie
| GM Watery Soup |
I have not been rolling for Perception vs Stealth; as it currently stands, Nali's max Perception of 20+13 will auto-fail, and her min Stealth of 1+17+20 will auto-succeed.
| GM Watery Soup |
Please vote as to whether the Society should continue its alliance with the Blakros family. (It's irrelevant to the immediate scenario but I imagine it will come up in PFS2.)
Chronicles are here.
Arin Qualnoh
|
Arin would vote stop.
I read the above question incorrectly (as between the Blakros family and *Onyx Alliance* -- coffee still kicking in :) ).
Arin would vote to continue it to keep tabs on the *conflict* between the family and the Onyx Alliance.

chronicle looks accurate. Thanks for running this soup! It was pretty cool to get some form of conclusion out of this story arc.
Nali Faina
|
Nali's opinion is to cut ties. In her opinion, the risk/reward balance is heavily not in our favor, and the only person that seems to be in favor of the Society is Hamalia.
| GM Watery Soup |
I really don't understand the Chronicle items (as a general thing about PFS1). You can either get 2 charges of greater invisibility for 450 gp ... or you can spend 5,400 gp to make your food taste like cinnamon oatmeal?!
Really.
This game has been reported. I'll leave the thread open for a bit and close it later this week.
I believe the first Blakros-related PFS2 scenario came out recently (#2-07) - I wonder if the PFS1 #10-18 votes factored into the writing.
Djorn
|
I suspect items like that become more valuable in games with nitpicky GMs (and not in Society Play.)
I can carry 20 pounds of food to hopefully not die of starvation before I ever even see the dragon holding the princess...or I can carry a spoon that generates enough food to keep me alive but with oatmeal that literally tastes like cardboard.
As opposed to you get off the boat, go beat up some people on the shadow plane and are back at the lodge in time for dinner.
| GM Watery Soup |
Out of curiosity I wondered if Pathfinder has prices for cinnamon. It's 1 gp per pound. If you use 1 tsp (2.6 g, 0.0057 lbs) per meal, three meals/day, it'll last you 58 days. So the spoon will pay for itself in 316,000 days.
For 5,400 gp, that food better taste like filet mignon! :D
Djorn
|
No, no...the spoon produces food. It's just that normally the food tastes terrible and this particular spoon makes food that tastes decent and not like cardboard.
Granted, food is cheap so it would still take a long time for it to pay itself off.
