Yes, your roll for combat tables will be created later. I will send the list over shortly.

Also, I've dropped in my link.

A sheet for requesting a backup GM also exists..
Probably best to request here and then one of us friendly backup GMs can block ourselves out for that/those dates.
Also, even if you just feel you are getting busy and need a days R&R - let us know. We are here to help make your life easier and keep things ticking over.

Is there any reason for people on the sign up sheet for my game to not dot and delete in the gameplay thread?
Is there a chance people will be moved around or, if they're on the sheet should we assume they're in the game?

![]() |

For now assume they are in the game. They can dot and delete. There may be a little bit of moving around but I try to keep it as minimal as possible.

![]() |

Yup nothing will be called until after the 19th. I will do a bit more recruiting and talking to groups this weekend to try and draw some more people in.

EbonFist |

Any idea if you're going to open up the option for someone to play in both Specials?
Asking for a friend.

*Does an embarrassing excited dance*
Will there be a 'mustering phase' (for the stuff on p6-7), or should we call the table together a couple of days before the start and get acquainted?

![]() |

If we're going to roll one or two 1-2 tables into each other, I'm fine to have mine among them. I only have one signup so far. The internet at my workplace has also broken down with little intent to fix it, and while I doubt it'd keep me from posting enough times per day, it would make me unable to quickly respond to individuals and the like.

![]() |

I am cleaning up the text now, hopefully be done by Monday as I only have the end part left.
I would begin to gather your tables but you will have 2 days for the mustering / introduction portion since there are quite a few checks to be done in that phase. You can gather early for some roleplay but no printed text should be posted until the start date.
Around Monday/Tuesday I will start to combine smaller tables, but with the new blog guidance you can now fire a table with 2 players, each playing an extra pregen. If you are one of those tables with 1-2 players I would message those players. If the players are fine with 2 and 2 pregens then I am good with it. Otherwise ask them to shift to another table.

Given there are no four-player adjustments for the specials, I certainly would not encourage 2 and 2 pre-gens, though it could work. It is definitely legal now, though I think that where feasible, combining tables may be wiser.
Of course, with this being a special there are other factors involved, how does reducing table count affect the numbers? Will 2-4 player tables reduce the chance of meeting house objectives, etc?
We may find ourselves on the leading edge of testing the new rules and how they affect the balance of play in multi-table specials.

Something I saw done at a VTT event for SFS 2-00, I'm not even sure if it was a "house rule" my table GM implemented, or something that was in effect for the whole house: Aid Tokens are automatically passed at the end of the next combat encounter if unused, but players have the opportunity to boost them at that time.
I'm not sure if this is a legal modification, Tyranius would certainly need to weigh in if not others, but if it is what would everyone think about implementing something like this? I know in the past I've had trouble convincing players to use Aid tokens despite multiple reminders, and I hate to be that table. This would certainly keep them flowing.

![]() |

Nope, that is good. I like it as folks sit on them for too long. Use it or Boost it.

![]() |

Tables have been collapsed. GM's who's tables did not fire have been identified and a PM has been sent.
You can go ahead and begin gathering your players.
@Discord GM's. The list has been sent in for your channels to be created so you should begin seeing those real soon. If not there in the next day or so I will follow up on it.

I've created an opening crawl (link), as I do for all my PbP games.
I don't think this gives away too much (it actually gives away less than the scenario blurb), but it does overlap slightly with the game opening.
@Tyranius: are you ok with showing like this?
Any else is of course free to use it, provided T gives the ok.

![]() |

@Discord GM's- Roll for Combat Tables are created. Please refer here for your table number and begin mustering. There is a Roll for Combat tab at the bottom.

GM Nefreet |

A sheet for requesting a backup GM also exists..
That is a very useful visual. Thank you!

@Trent Varva- Just found Mike B.'s discord name as well. It is mkb152jr#7848

Aid Token: 4d13 ⇒ (5, 12, 5, 5) = 27
Rerolls: 2d13 ⇒ (7, 11) = 18
The following tables will begin with Aid tokens!

Can I be marked as inactive on this thread? I've already read the scenario, of course, but I figure I shouldn't stick around for more forbidden knowledge.

GM Sedoriku |

Or you could stay and learn all the secrets!!!
(... And then, uhh, sell them for a profit to competitors? Yeah there's no good use for them is there?)

![]() |

I've made some tweaks to the GM slides to accommodate how I like them. Some of these are just personal preference (like square enemy tokens), but I figured I'd share because some of them will be useful for other folks as well, including (a) some starship combat resources, (b) flattening all the maps into the background so they can't be accidentally shifted, and (c) fixing typos on the chase slide. Feel free to copy if you'd like.

![]() |

Certainly, thanks Dennis! Those on the main page are there if folks wanted to use them to save a little time. Not mandatory in any way if folks wanted to make their own or alter them.

GM Bret |

I have one player who has failed to check in. I've PMed him through the boards and posted in Castamir's in hopes of them posting.
At what point do I open the seat for someone else?

![]() |

To be clear, I took the ones you have posted there, made a copy, and made some changes. The deck I just linked is my tweaked copy of the one you have posted there.

GM Sedoriku |

T-11 hrs and 45 minutes unless I'm mixing up my time zones!

![]() |

Yes, as in the past this will kick off at Midnight UTC as this is a global convention. (1900 Central on 31 August)

- All good Dragonvan, a few hours isn't going to make a difference. A couple of days will.

For the aid token sheet, I've marked Sep 1 as the Date Last Received for the three of us that are starting with a token.
Also, I've highlighted Cwethan, Dragonelvish and Sedoriku with 4-player table and 5-player table markings as appropriate so that we're all aware those are not full 6-player tables. Therefore, we may want to pass aid tokens to those tables on priority to help them out considering there is no 4-player adjustment.
