Working together you are able to get a plentiful quantity of ingredients to allow for a lot of leeway during your cooking.
Shoma may have not have seen an akata before, but they are able to surmise correctly the proper way to cut the abberation. Misty Kit finds that through the strain of the fight and following that a significant portion of the meat is toxic. Even still there is enough of the avian meat to allow for more than the recipes minimum requirements. FlexNaught's circuits on on point and are able to deliver near perfect cuts and have a wealth of uzorg meat to cook.
Working together FlexNaught and Shoma take on the process of cooking, but Shoma's personal experience shines through perfectly frying the uzorg cut.
So far though Shoma doesn't see anyone from the other team passing by, although Tillik's performs exaggerated dances that take him near the Starfinder area.
Mahari was barely able to successfully make the swap as a small drone begins beeping an alarm. Shovyzam quickly responds and takes a quick glance around, but doesn't seem to catch sight of Mahari's quick swap. "You are lucky her guns are powered down else you would be getting a sample of vesk weaponry." She smirks, confident that she caught Mahari before doing any damage to their resources. "If you are so free to go wandering off though, maybe I should give you some bigger problems to solve." She gives a touch to her gauntlet and activates a trap on the Starfinder range causing the power to cut out as the group was about to start cooking the next cut of meat.
The vesk gives a chuckle, but hears the sudden failure of her teams range as Mec-01's sabotage succeeds.
Their team scrambles for another solution and Shovyzam curses as she begins tearing open the range to get access to the innards. "This would never happened to a veskarium grill!"
Mahari was successful in swapping the ingredients.
Mec-01 was successful in disabling their cooking range.
Shovyzam has sabotaged the Starfinder range. A player can spend an action to attempt a Engineering check to perform field repairs to fix the damage dealt. Because of efforts of Nelek, Shovyzam had far less time to set up the mine at the start of the cooking, any attempt to repair the range will gain a +2 bonus to the check.
4 cuts of uzorg, 2 cuts of verimu, 3 cuts of azata.

Mec-01 (cut power on the rival cooking range)
Shoma Steel (successfully prepared the uzorg cut)

Everyone can take their cooking actions for round 2. Misty Kit didn't take actions for round 1 and can take two rounds of actions (butchering didn't take an action).

The kasatha continues his guard's task. He alerts the group if he sees anybody else coming or whatever particular that occurs on their side of cooking.

GM Blazej |

Are there any defensive actions or checks we can do or make to prevent them from doing the same to us?
Yes, you can take actions to defend, like what Nelek provides can help aid in defending or responding to the situation. Keeping watch can help for the round. Constructing fortifications, defenses, sensors, or using relevant class abilities might be other options that can help.
There won't be ways to eliminate chances for sabotage given the short time frame, but actions can be taken to mitigate them as well as predict what actions they may take.
However, it seems as though they are being forced to work harder at prepartion than your own team as most of them are focused on preparing food at the moment.
-
With the limited damage dealt to it Mec-01 is able to quickly divert power through the range and get it working again in moments!

You can continue to repeat the same skills throughout this. If and when that changes, I will let you know.
Even with Misty Kit's aid FlexNaught is having trouble with the difficult to work with ingredients. Especially as camera buzz about and there is a pressure to finish the meal quickly.
Nelek continues to keep an keen eye as Shovyzam takes a few glances to find some vulnerability. Not finding one she turns to repairing damage to the range, drawing power from her own spare batteries. It gets the range working again with a bundle of wiring now pulled out of the mechanism.
The cameras however look toward the action and dynamic motion happening as Mahari performs another bit of quick sabotage and on Mec-01 as he reverses some of the damage dealt to the range.
Mia Moxie seems is using one of the larger kitchen knives to cut the verimu into more managable chunks, but does so with a force that seems to profess the durability of the knife that it continues to retain an edge as she continues to bring it down against the cutting board with loud chops.

Flexnaught shutters his eyelids blocking out all external stimuli and breaths deeply a few moments despite not needing to, "Remember your training." He takes a single deep breath before turning to the camera an explaining in that single breath, "Melt a pound of butter in a heavy saucepan over low heat and slowly cook until the bubbling ceases and the liquid turns clear. Strain and cool, being sure to leave any solids in the bottom of the pan. Or, once the butter has cleared, remove from heat and add two inches of hot tap water. Since it's less dense than water, the now clarified butter will float to the top.A few hours in the fridge will solidify the butter. Use or wrap in wax paper and foil and refrigerate. While under the effect of the biohack Shoma is able to show off for the cameras and finish off the previous batch of meat. They have trouble with the next batch as the biohack wanes. Similarly Flexnaught finds that the exactly parameters of the preparation are just barely beyond his ability to comfortably prepare the meal as recipe constantly demands more of his attention.
Misty almost is able to aid FlexNaught with the attempt, but the tight time frame hampers the communication and aid she is providing. She is successful in the following attempt however.
FlexNaught lead a masterful bit of finish on the last portion of the uzorg with Shoma also succeeding on their portions.
Both Mec-01 and Nelek stand guard. The cameras move onto other, more action packed portions of the kitchen until Tillik saunters over the pair. "Distrust? What would ever given you that idea?" He gives a grin as he gives a impressive twirl, duck, tumble and flip into the Starfinder kitchen. "Maybe though that is only because I have failed to be the most polite of neighbors and have failed to visit." He takes one of the small containers of seasoning declaring. "Since we are such friendly neighbors I don't suppose you would dare let me borrow just a cup of sugar." Even as he says that he maintains a wide grin.

Confidently they announce, "the damage I have suffered is minimal and will be resolve with minor healing." Taking a look at the rapidly overcooking food on the repaird range Verity-5 quickly moves back in an attempt to retake control of the pans while noting, "the damage to the uzorg however may be more difficult to repair."
Tillik holds his hand over his mouth in mock surprise. "Excuse me, I was just asking for some sugar. I assure you we have plenty of knives."
Mahari can't tell anything Tillik has done beyond the most apparent.

Misty and Shoma both catch sight of Tillik's slight of hand as he was attempting to swap some of the portion of verimu for a low quality meat substitute.
Mahari is able to work through the pain and cook a portion of the verimu only leaving one cut left to finish for the others and FlexNaught is barely able to commit an additional bit of sabotage as he swaps a few labels around while he performs a stellar show of cooking as he perfectly cooks the dish as the cameras come in close for a shot as cutlery flies through the air.
Mec-01 still has issue breaking through Shovyzam's defenses in the short fragments of time he has access to their range before being shooed off by the vesk. "You are just seeing the hardiness of Veskarium might here, but I think I should show off a bit of the might!"

Mahari then sets to work on the azata dish. She begins by selecting just the right set of plates, pale green ones that will make the bright red azata meat really pop visually. Mahari creates a magnificent dish that has a distinct visual appeal as Mec-01 trivially cancels out the magnetic barrage Shonvyzam tried to deal out.

"Hey, how do we know she didn't just slip on something they dropped on the floor. I mean, c'mon, look at that disaster of a kitchen over there. Meanwhile, the Starfinders are running an orderly, clean, sanitary and safe workplace," Mahari mugs for the camera drones.
Done with promo time, she turns and gives a big wink and thumbs up to Shoma for humiliating Mia and returns to prepping the last of the dishes.

Heh love it
"Good one Mahari! It's almost like my humor routine is poorly designed and formulaic!" Flexnaught turns to the camera staring sadly into the middle distance like David Tenant in the rain.

I will use the correct bonus (with modification for extended arms as needed) from here on out. [/ooc]
Thank you for letting me know. I'll check those results and adjust them when I have a chance. I assume the bonus is 2 less than what you were posting because of your extendable arms?
Lethea commentates as the cooking draws to a close. "It seems that the Starfinders have excelled once more in the fires of the kitchen in preparing an seemingly excellent dish. Both teams are just doing some final touches and their results will be put to the test."
Mahari and FlexNaught succeeded on the prepare food checks.

The android will have a new try to disturb the range of the opposite kitchen. That seems funny.

Nelek stands watch but doesn't find that the others have time to continue with sabotage.
After a number of attempts Mec-01 is able to break through Shonvyzam's wiring and cause their range to being to act erratically.
As the cooking comes to a close the perpetually grinning hosts direct their hovering disks to land near the field kitchen in a coordinated motion. The two approach a table set with the contestants' various meals and take a seat. Quell inhales deeply and speaks into his microphone. "Mmmmm, I smell-"
After a pause he continues, "Who am I kidding I can't smell anything."
"Of course you can't," Lethea quips. "You're dead." Quell turns to her in mock surprise.
"You can't even hold a fork!" He counters, miming grasping for his utensils. "How do you plan to judge this challenge?"
"This wasn't in the script," Lethea giggles and considers the steaming plates of food before her. "We'll have to do our best. It's not every day we get to sample cuisine cooked by the living." She turns to the contestants. "Why don't you describe these delectable dishes?"
Rafelo is quick to step up for his team to present their food. "If I might have your attention, I might grace you with a set of wonderful dishes cooked here before you in the heat of battle." He waves his hands over dishes that have suffered much from the kitchen bound battle. Much of the ingredients have been substituted or tainted, their coloring is off, the presentation is lacking, and portions are burnt. Each scar recalling to some bit of sabotage the Starfinders had performed. Rafelo discounts that and focuses on his description and presentation.
"I present to you Verity-5's urorg and verimu sausage with akata caviar. If you might sample the succulent match of flavors within the tender composition. Each bite a distinct spice and flavor that slowly builds within your mouth as you eat it. Sampling the caviar you will notice a dash of smooth calming flavor that recalls to the stellar experience of travel through the stars."
As he describes it Lethea dramatically mimes tasting the dish while Quell grimaces as he issues enthusiastic issues compliments through a mouthful of the food. "Cooked to perfection and certainly a joy to be able to sample this today."
The PCs can have their own single representative attempt a Bluff, Diplomacy, Intimidate, or Profession (cook) to describe their own dishes.
As it stands you have a large wealth of ingredients all cooked perfectly. It is is made even more apparent compared to the Moxies dishes. There are only a few flaws that resulted from a bit of the chaos caused by the knife tosses into your own team.

Mahari lets the others get everything set up while she takes a moment to survey the feast they’ve laid before the judges. She mentally catalogues each of the dishes, and makes notes about special ingredients or flavor combinations before making her pitch to the two undead. And to the wider audience.
”Good evening, gentlebeings from across the system,” she opens with a flourish and a radiant smile for the cameras.
”Please allow me to present five amazing dishes cooked to perfection by the Starfinder Society for this challenge. We’d like to take a moment to thank the producers of Pact World Warriors for providing us with such great facilities and such fine ingredients,” she says with a bow to each of the two judges.
”First, please enjoy an appetizer of Split Azata Tentacles with Dendridu sauce for dipping. You’ll notice that the tentacles are a little chewy. That’s how they’re supposed to be, in order to stimulate saliva production for the following courses. Lethea, I know you can’t eat this, so I want to call your attention to how the blue of the tentacles contrasts with the bright red of the sauce.”
I gotta make sure to point out the coloring choices we made to help those who can’t taste the food, but who can see it. That should help with the scores and with the audience.
”Our first main course is a teammate special. Shoma Steel and FlexNaught worked together perfectly to bring you Fried Urzog with Barauthan Gorgonzola. Note how the normally sharp cheese is subdued by the fried urzog, and how the browned meat sets off with the white of the cheese and the bright green plating.”
As the judges move on to the next course, she continues.
”We did manage to find some Castrovellian red wine, courtesy of Navar Vineyards of Labu Mesa. Thanks, Navar! You wouldn’t want to have our Jabaskian Azata and Radaz-Rice without it.”
”Our last main course is of course the claw meat of the verimu. Really, there’s only one way to cook this, and Misty Kit did an incredible job while FlexNaught made the standard accompaniment but with some extra sizzle. Let me present, Broiled and Buttered Verimu Claws, Spicy-Starfinder-Style!”
Once Quell seems done with the main courses, she has the boys bring out the dessert.
”Finally, a nice dessert to bring it all home. Griddle scones might not sound very exciting, but I bet you didn’t know that when dried and ground, uzorg fins taste just like the sweet zaxi fruit from Gaskar III. I don’t know why that is, but our own FlexNaught with help from Mec-01 and Nelek dried those fins just right and even decorated the plates with a few of them.”
As the judges do their best to finish sampling the feast, Mahari returns to her team and gives everyone a high-five.
