What for a presentation! The living ones are incredible for such things.

The android is bluffed by the monolog Mahari could produce for the tv show. She has done it her entire life for sure. The mechanic had a good reason not to be able for such effort. He wasn't programed that for.

Prank War Map

Lethea and Quell compliment every bite they take as Mahari provides an exemplary description of an already incredibly crafted meal. Although Lethea still only mimes the eating and food has the same nutritional value to Quell as cardboard to any given human. But their expressions and compliments describe an excellent meal.

"Truly I have never eaten this well in many centuries!" Compliments Lethea.

"An explosion of ... taste. A barrage of flavors incomparable to anything I've... had before," manages Quell in between forcing down the food through his gullet.

Even the rival team can't help but take notice. Mia Moxie is certainly fuming and Rafelo seems to despair that the spotlight has so clearly been taken from him. Verity-5 has datapad out and appears to be taking notes on the recipe. Tillik is taking the moment to utilize his own skills to steal some of the excess food the Starfinders have set, partially because of the exceptional description and maybe for some personal pride of a thief.

Shonvyzam is less interested in the food than Mec-01's countermeasures as she takes a glance at the work. In the end she gives an unimpressed shrug as she picks up her own equipment.

"This is certainly a difficult choice between the two meals, but ultimately the taste test goes to, " Lethea holds for a moment as cameras get into position before declaring, "The Starfinders!"

Applause and cheers can be heard from the studio audience before Quell continues, "but it isn't our excellent taste that stands along. Various chefs watched the preparations and also scored and voted for each of the teams dishes. While we do not have time to go through them all, most were did comment that the Moxies did a poor job in not stopping the hostile placement of such ingredients as weasel spice or verimu talons to their meal."

"All that together the score from this round is 25 points for the Moxies and 130 for the Starfinders. A vast difference, a cause for despair, or does a chance for hope still exist? We will find out in the next event!"

Prank War Map

With that the Moxies consider their plan of action while production staff gathers both teams and brings them to their separate break rooms. You are informed you will be left for another thirty minute break before the next event before they leave you again.

With that the Moxies consider their plan of action while production staff gathers both teams and brings them to their separate break rooms. You are informed you will be left for another thirty minute break before the next event before they leave you again.

As you go into the room, it is a far different story than the previous break room. A table near the back of the break room is laden with an exquisite buffet of food. Mountains of dumplings, a pot full of steaming soup, and a wicker basket piled high with fresh fruit cover the table’s surface. A brown ceramic tea kettle rests on a red cloth, surrounded by enough cream-colored cups to share a drink.

A stark white ysoki dressed in a well-cut grey business suit hops up from a chair in greeting. She waves an apology as she chews the last bite of the apple she’s been snacking on. She sets the core carefully at the edge of the table and speaks. "Oh hi! It’s so nice to finally meet all of you," she says with a cheerful smile. "My name is Datch, and I’ve been watching your performance. Do you have a moment to chat?"

"Thank you, I understand you don't have much time so I won't take too much of your time."

"You really just have impressed me with how you handled those challenges. Like how you so quickly found a way to open that door escape that metallic escape room at the start of the obstacle course Mec-01. I wanted to take a moment to just take a moment to meet with you rather than just watch from the stands as it were. To take the opportunity to meet face-to-face and offer a gift." Datch grins as she motions toward the provided food. "That is all this is about! Really! I enjoy my life more not going into every meeting like a business deal. I mean, not everything has to be so nefarious, you know? Then again, you're Starfinders, so I can understand. You probably have to deal with a lot of bad people!"

"Speaking of your escape that reminds me, are you self trained in details of engineering Mec-01? I've heard that Shonvyzam making it clear that her skill comes from the Veskarium, but I hadn't heard anything about where your skills came from."

Nelek wrote:

"I've built up contacts over the years of my work. Nothing special, but they give me advantages and opportunities I leverage time to time. You would be surprised where you can get by just asking the right people?" She points to a monitor offering highlights of the cooking extravaganza while saying, "My relationship with the show are minimal. I'm mostly a huge fan of Zo!'s productions. I simply had to come see it live, especially when I heard the Starfinder Society was going to participate. I admit it the show is even more exciting in person, even from the studio audience! It will give me plenty of stories when I get back to work. Everyone is going to be so jealous! Especially if I share I managed a quick chat with you!"

Datch laughs as she admits, "Still this is probably nothing compared to your own stories. What is it like Nelek being at the forefront in front of all the cameras, in the heart of the action?"

She gives a shrug and smirk as she shines her lapel pin. "I will admit that I have certain vested interests in this episode of the show. Zo!'s productions always have room for plenty of sponsors."

Continuing forward she glances across the party and asks Shoma, "I know you all work the society, but I was pair of you. You really seemed to take it personally when Mahari got hit by Mia. Do you normally work together?"

Shoma isn't able to get a definitive read on Datch, but looking over Datch and the food doesn't show any sign of traps or hidden weaponry.

Once again the crew brings you through Zo!'s vast film complex. This time the elevators bring you far upwards as the staff brief you on the rules of the next event. You will be brought to Eox's surface as you fight off a unending horde for a short period of time.

You are being brought up to Eox's surface, you are all confirmed to turn on your environmental productions on your armor. They have spare space suits for each of you if required, but standard armor should be protective enough.

Eventually you are placed on the surface, far above the safety of the complex, a barren cratered landscape surrounds a clear protective dome. The dome slowly retracts as a horde of skeletal undead approaches at a shambling gait. Their bones and ancient rifles lit up brightly with the lighting from the camera drones up above.

Mysticism DC 5 to Identify:
These are skeletal undead. Mindless skeletons that relentlessly attack the living using only the most basic tactics from their former lives. Immune to the hostile cold of space.

"For their third challenge, our contestants face off against an undead army!" Lethea's voice bellows. "Don't worry folks, they're mindless, so it's okay. Well, okay enough for PRIME TIME!"

Quell adds in. "Contestants, don't be shy; there's plenty more corpses than these ones!"

Suddenly, a burning object crashes into the dust right outside your dome, creating a fresh dent in the planet's pockmarked surface. "Time to kill, kill, kill!" Quell trills.

Lethea offers, "I think you mean REkill!"

@Shoma Steel
You are made aware far in advance what this encounter will be, you can start with weapons drawn. If there were even questions as to who was holding certain gear, I would reasonably let you resolve that retroactively now.

Looking around Shoma finds plenty of bits of debris spread across the planet's surface. As for cover, the crevices near Shoma might serve a decent cover, but it would be harder to pull oneself out quickly if the skeletons close to melee.

The craters around could also serve as cover if lying prone, including the newly formed one to the west which is a bit deeper than the rest.

Both Shoma and Nelek's attacks go flying over the horizon and into the dead planet's ground. Mahari finds the undead trivually easy to trick and managed to land a solid blow on the closest undead as does FlexNaught. However as FlexNaught lands a blow he notices that his physical attack is less effective, dealing on a fraction of the damage expected. Combined with his knowledge of the undead he thinks that they are resistant again non-magical physical attacks.
Correct me if FlexNaught's pistol is magical (has a fusion).

FlexNaught also can tell that the equipment is newer than undead of the sort have. The branding on their armor and weapons carrying the Pact World Warriors branding across the length. However the armor doesn't seem to providing any benefit to the undead, doing nothing to protect what would be vital to the skeleton's construction.

Misty is able to confirm the same information as FlexNaught. They are mindless undead, immune to effects that target the living and cold. They are resistant to non-magical attacks as well with DR 5/magic.
If Misty Kit's weapon doesn't have a weapon fusion, they would only be able to have a chance at bypassing the DR (and apply a biohack) with a critical hit
Aside from that the skeletons do not have any particularly strong defenses with all being average at best. They are stronger melee fighters than ranged.

Misty's attack barely misses as the undead push forward. Some charging forward drawing knives to their bony claws and others slow to fire shots at the Starfinders at the head of the party.

One of the undead lands a shot against Mahari while another shot rockets past FlexNaught.

Thank you! Forgot about energy weapons being exempt from DR. I'll make that a laser pistol attack. I assume I would have known this from team comms and watching allies switch to energy attacks.

Post otherwise the same, except "eat a laser, bone bag," and damage is:

1d4 Laser Fire: 1d4 ⇒ 1

The blue skeleton doesn't eat the laser, per se, but it knocks out a couple teeth and fries the lower jawbone - not enough to put down the living dead, but it'll sure mess up dental record ID for the bones!

I believe FlexNaught's movement to jet past green provokes one attack from green.

One of the skeletons swipes a blade into FlexNaught's armor as he passes and releases the gout of flames singing both of the skeletons. Both are tolerating the damage well enough, but their forms are being to crack under the combination of the electrical burns and those from flame.

Couldn't she hit just green and yellow by throwing to the right of Nelek?

Taking one of the screamer grenades recovered from the obstacle course, Misty launches it between the pair of undead.

The explosion tears through the toxic atmosphere and kicks up dust from the ground. It isn't enough to bring either of the two down, but continues to add their accumulated damage. A heavy blow will be able to bring any of them down.

Prank War Map

All of the undead are battered, shocked, and burnt, but that hasn't been enough to stop most of them. A pair continue to attack FlexNaught; one continues firing rifle shots at the android while the other draws knife and strikes FlexNaught as the undead jaw opens wide giving a silent battlecry.

The third turns blade against Nelex, but the attack is far too slow to connect.

Lethea continues to commentate from above. "It looks like both teams are tearing through their foes with brutal efficiency. Don't blink because we are seeing our competitors abilities on full display!"

"Absolutely especially with FlexNaught showing his full fire power!" Cackles Quell and Lethea responds with a polite laugh.
