This is the discussion thread for #1-02 Fugitive on the Red Planet (Tier 1-4). Game will start on July 1st. Recruitment has already been decided, so no open spots.

With that said....Hello everybody!

Thank you for being interested in playing #1-02 Fugitive on the Red Planet!

As a GM, I hope to have at least 1 or 2 'move the story along' posts a day (more if we have combat) during the weekdays. From Friday evening to Monday morning you should expect likely no more than 1-2 total over the weekend (even for combat), as I know most of us have IRL games we are in or running during the weekends.

So...what does that mean That means (to me) that hopefully we can do some more Role Play (not just Roll Play) during the week and weekend with all your characters. I do love checking dice (though IRL dice are better, Paizo's RNG I feel hates me), but with this being such a good story scenario, the role play should be just as important.

I do realize that IRL >>> PBP. If something happens, just drop me a message.

I will post some simple 'rules' in the next discussion.

Scarab Sages

So some quick rules that I have found to be important.

*** As I said IRL >>>> PBP.

*** Posting. Please at least keep an eye on the game once or twice a day if you can. Posting once a day would be the best, as I don't think we want to be here for ~3 months in this scenario. I will likely post early on all days (~5 to 8 AM (UTC-4)), and then likely about 12 hours later if the storyline needs it. For combat, expect me to keep track of fights a little more often.

*** Combat. I will roll the Initiative for everybody. If you have boons/abilities that would modify that roll from your base initiative tell me in the discussion on when/how it is used. For posts, if you don't post during a 'day' (about 24 hours) your action, I will put you on delay once (or bot you if you leave a note to me or on your character page). If I need to skip you a 2nd time, you will get 'botted' with me doing something simple (attacking likely).

*** Saves are always the first roll of any post if I ask you to roll for a save.

*** Perception and Sense Motives I don't always call out when you should use them. You are free to use them at any time. The times I do call them out usually are because they are being called out in specifically in the scenario. Example. If you are wanting to check for traps, post that you are looking around and chuck a dice to see what you get. That will likely be used for the current 'area' (a door, a chest, of a quick search for hidden items in a room), so please tell me what you think the perception check is for. Same for Sense Motive. If you think the person you are talking to is hiding something, roll that Sense Motive.

*** Have fun. That is what we are here for...

With that.

Please post the following information:

Character Name:
Character Level:
Organized Play # / Character #:

What is your quest Day Job (if any) Roll:

I will ask you to slot boons in a while--usually after the briefing.

I will get maps/slides up in the next few days (still learning this part).

So, when you can, go into Gameplay and dot in and delete. Hopefully everybody can.
