"Thiss creature doess sseem to be more ressilient than mosst of itss kind." Taishe observes dryly.

His displeasure at the current situation is demonstrated by the heavy number of words with "S's" in them, which he normally speaks slowly and carefully to avoid using overmuch.

Sling stone!:
1d20 + 5 ⇒ (18) + 5 = 231d3 ⇒ 2

The kobold nods in snarky self-satisfaction as his sling stone hits his target this time.

This time, the kobold’s sling stone enters the undead horror’s skull. A black brackish fluid dribbles out of the hole, filled with wriggling things. The zombie staggers, then collapses onto the damp cave floor

phew!

"Score one fer tha li'l folk. Well struck!" Norveg pats Taishe on the back.

Male Half-Orc Fighter (Corsair) 2/Barbarian 1

”Is there no end to these accursed things?” Tragon utters as he wipes down his sword.

“They are thick down here. This is a place of evil”

13 Spider shivers as he touches the red marks where the gruesome injuries he suffered were before healing

Male Kobold Investigator1

Taishe relaxes, straightening his outfit.

The kobold gives the zombie one final glance, then sniffs as he turns to his companions.

"One findss that he has had quite enough excitement for one day. The earlier we are out of here, the better. Shall we continue?" He asks pleasantly.

M Ratfolk Cleric 3 {Init +3; F +4 R +4 W + 6; Perc +6 (darkvision); hp 21/21; AC 18 t 14 ff 15; BAB +2, CMB +1, CMD 14; CLW 8/50}

"Roit, back to the doors." Norveg makes his way back to where the battle before this one started. [b]"Oi'm not goin' first."[/b[

The party returns to the narrow tunnel they had been investigating before being so rudely interrupted.

Male Kobold Investigator1

Taishe sticks his snout ahead of the 'leader', (whomever it is) and peers down the tunnel, sniffing occasionally.

Per: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (19) + 8 = 27

total of 28 if it is a trap,...

Bribes always welcome

The door at the end of the narrow tunnel seems to be clear of traps. However, Taishe can see the door is swollen and jammed like the others. As he peers at it he hears a faint scratching coming from the other side

Male Kobold Investigator1

Taishe slowly withdraws back behind Tragon.

"It would appear the next door iss jammed like the otherss. One believess that there may be another undead welcoming committee waiting behind it." The kobold says calmly.

Male Half-Orc Fighter (Corsair) 2/Barbarian 1

Tragon sighs deeply. "How are our resources? Perhaps we should consider jamming these doors thoroughly to prevent the undead from escaping rather than opening them." He looks to the group to assess their appetite for further undead carnage.

M Ratfolk Cleric 3 {Init +3; F +4 R +4 W + 6; Perc +6 (darkvision); hp 21/21; AC 18 t 14 ff 15; BAB +2, CMB +1, CMD 14; CLW 8/50}

Male Kobold Investigator1

"Friend Norveg is correct. Our only known way out iss beyond the undead who roam the tunnelss."

Taishe glances at Norveg, hissing in a kobold equivalent of a chuckle.

"Clearly, roguess were afraid to explore beyond original door. Perhaps undead will be kind enough to provide the meanss to acquire a new wand." The kobold offers in amusement.

M Ratfolk Cleric 3 {Init +3; F +4 R +4 W + 6; Perc +6 (darkvision); hp 21/21; AC 18 t 14 ff 15; BAB +2, CMB +1, CMD 14; CLW 8/50}

Norveg activates the wand and holds the charge (10/50).

"We're gonna need this, one way or t'other," he opines grimly.

The little lizard is hoping it's Tragon. :)

Tragon will attempt the door.

Maybe instead of zombies, this one will have little elves bearing cookies. One can hope.

Male Kobold Investigator1

Taishe bravely covers Tragon.

From behind the Half-orc,...

Far. behind.

Tragon prepares to slam the door

LOL

The cramped tunnel and swollen door thwart the doughty Tragon

Next steps?

”This door holds fast. Perhaps there is another route,” Tragon offers.

Male Kobold Investigator1

Taishe approaches the door.

"Excuse, pleasse"

The kobold examines door as he strokes his mustache-tendrils, making universal "Hmmm"ing noises. Eventually he takes a small bag of oil from his carry bag, squirts a little in a few precise places around the door, and steps back to admire his handiwork.

"Try again. Pleasse" The lizard gestures to the door.

Thats a good try. I’ll allow it

The lubricant seems to make the door a bit looser.

Once again, Tragon leans into the door to force it open.

The door gives way and slams open. A zombie staggers back from the door. The dim room has three zombies within. One looks odd, he is less rotted than the others, and is dressed in the rotting raiments of a priest. This one hisses in a dry rasping tone.

"Attack! We shall feast!"

Narl thinks that this creature isn't a zombie - It doesn't have the mindless animation of one of those revenants. The priestly raiment is a clue. Narl has read of priests that forsook their faith before death and were cursed with undeath. These creatures are known as Huecuva. They are intellegent, but driven by hate and hunger. They are known to be able to cloak themselves in an illusion of life, although this one doesn't seem to be bothering. They are also resistant to normal attacks - only silver and magic affect them fully

Post actions!

Male Half-Orc Fighter (Corsair) 2/Barbarian 1

Tragon strides into the room and hacks at the zombie.

Male Kobold Investigator1

Taishe jumps as the undead in priestly raiment starts chanting.

"SSssssstop him!" The kobold cries as he fumbles with his sling, suddenly realizing the conflict has begun without him!

Speaking which Narl will focus his attacks on that creature seeing the danger it poses to the group now that he knows what it is.

Narl will move to K4 so he will at the very least have a open shot at the Huecuva.

New Map

Apologies as my computer ate the old map. I had to remake. I placed everyone where I think they wanted to go. Nahuatl and Narl said the same square so I shifted about
