Dadna Cloudbreaker
Smite Evil. +3 Hit, +12 Damage. AC 23
Smite and bane: 1d20 + 9 + 3 + 2 ⇒ (16) + 9 + 3 + 2 = 30
Ignore DR Damage: 1d10 + 11 + 12 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 11 + 12 + 2 = 30
Holy: 2d6 ⇒ (1, 6) = 7
Fortunately, Dadna was able to see in the dark. With a cry of "Bolka, guide me!" She plunged into the darkness, her dorn-dergar glowing softly with an inner light. The weapon lashed out, striking the demon. While certainly not enough to kill it, she was certain that it would hurt something fierce.
Leothar
Leothar follows behind Dadna.
Double move. Sorry, Ardriel, I don't mean to get in the way of your shot. I would declare my smite on the demon but I guess I can't see it either?
Ian Passeri
Frustrated first by the lack of sound, then by the darkness Ian trying to resolve one of them, calls on his Power of Faith, attempting to illuminating the dark.
standard cast PoF
For you all
PoF. 1st of 10 rd. This causes a nimbus of light to emanate from the warrior of the holy light in a 30-foot radius. All allies in this area (including the warrior of the holy light) receive a +1 morale bonus to AC and on attack rolls, damage rolls, and saving throws against fear as long as they remain in the area of light. This power lasts for 1 minute.
Focus: Whenever a mythic ally that is within 30 feet uses the surge ability, it rolls its bonus die twice and takes the higher result.

Ardriel lowers his bow and pulls out a scroll, then he tries to cast it and dispel the darkness.
Caster Level check DC 8 to activate scroll: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (11) + 3 = 14
Caster level check to dispel darkness, mythic surge: 1d20 + 3 + 1d6 ⇒ (14) + 3 + (1) = 18
Leothar
Normally, I think you would use your own CL for the check to activate the scroll, but the scroll's CL in the Dispel check, so that would be 1d20+5 for a typical scroll of Dispel Magic. And then, since Ian is just barely within 30', his Focus ability applies and lets you roll twice and take the better on your Mythic Surge.
Fley Flaxon
Fley gasps as the darkness reappears in the western part of the room. He can only assume there are more than one of these demons. Not being able to see is a terrible experience.
Unsure about moving, Fley stays put, holding out his two kukris.
Will delay until he can see again.
Ian Passeri
Frustrated that his Power of Faith wasn't strong enough to penetrate the darkness, Ian pauses in the dark, then the darkness disappeared. Thinking for a moment it may be his faith in action he sees Ardriel and realizes the elf probably cast some kind of spell. As quickly as the darkness dissipated it appeared again, this time more centered to the west. Ian now in a pocket of light, moves back to the south through the doorway to see if the demon was still there.
So a move action into the southern room, did Ian get a glimpse of the demon while the lights were on, and does he see the demon or any other threat in the southern room?

Dadna Cloudbreaker
”Stay together!” Dadna said. ”Form a circle, backs to each other. If we can’t see it, we can at least protect each other.”
Leothar
Leothar can't hear Dadna. But he does recall that there is a vulnerability in the party's formation.
He moves back into the north room to guard Ardriel in case the unseen enemy comes in through the other door.
Ardriel Zinro
Ardriel puts another arrow to his bowstring and prepares to fire if the demon shows itself.
Readied Attack, Mythic PBS: 1d20 + 10 + 2 ⇒ (17) + 10 + 2 = 29 -2 if more than 30' away.

Dadna Cloudbreaker
Perception: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (10) + 2 = 12
Unable to hear anything or see an enemy, Dadna stood her ground. With Fley at the southern door, she watched the western one, ready to attack any foe who came inside. She wanted to call our to her comrades, but there was no sound either. It was a terrifying feeling to be robbed of one's senses...
Hit add 2 if evil outsider: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (6) + 9 = 15
Cold Iron Damage: 1d10 + 11 ⇒ (9) + 11 = 20
Evil Outsider Bane: 2d6 + 2 ⇒ (5, 3) + 2 = 10
Ardriel Zinro
Perception: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (11) + 2 = 13
Ardriel frowns as more darkness auras appear, and pulls out his cold iron shortsword before adopting a defensive stance. "I don't think I'll be much use in this fight."
Draw cold iron shortsword and take the Total Defense action.
Fley Flaxon
Perception: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (17) + 7 = 24
Does Fley hear those things being in the silent room?
Fley, unable to see due to the darkness and unable to hear due to the silent room, feels uneasy. 'I hope this isn't what the bleaching is like,' he thinks to himself.
The gnome jogs out of the silent room to the south. With Ian there, he knows he'll have some more protection. But at least he can see and hear again.
"Thank the gods! Ian, what do you see? Is the demon still in here?"
Fley holds up his swords, trying to defend himself from any attack.
Total Defense.
Leothar
Perception: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (7) + 7 = 14
Leothar stands ready, but does not see or hear any danger.
Fley Flaxon
Fley wheezes as he exits the silent room and into the light.
"Is... is the demon... demon gone? I saw a Nabasu demon in here. It hurt me.". He wheezes some more. "I will follow you if you think it's best."
Dadna Cloudbreaker
Seeing Ian and Fley fleeing to the south, while Adriel and her kinsman were to the north, Dadna motioned for the two of them to come to her and from there to join up with the human and gnome. As she wasn't able to speak, all she could do was make the hand gestures and hope that they could see her, understand her, and listen to her.
Leothar

He's got 3 negative levels. I think it is likely Enervation so they don't risk becoming permanent, but they could still kill him if they accumulate.
Fley Flaxon
Yep. Three negative levels acquired here.
Dadna Cloudbreaker
With Adriel not noticing her, Dadna stomped over to the elf, reached out and grabbed him by the arm. Unable to say anything, she lead him by the hand towards Ian and Fley, hoping that he'd at least be able to see something that close to him.
[ooc]Round 7, move action up to Adriel, move action back to where I started. Round 8, keep leading him down to the southern room.
Dadna Cloudbreaker
Given that Dadna believed that nobody could hear her, she decided that now was the time to say everything that she wanted. As she moved into the room, a seriously of most unladylike curses came from her lips, cursing the World Wound, the demons within it, the magic that was befuddling them, the food they were eating...she stopped talking as she grabbed Adriel, her own voice ringing out. He couldn't see it, but her cheeks flushed bright red as embarrassment took over. Much more quietly she said "Come on, follow me." as she pulled him to the south.
Ardriel Zinro
"Oh, okay Dadna. I really need to find a way to see in darkness like this. It seems like every demon we meet can do this." Ardriel allows himself to be led by Dadna into the silent room, maintaining a defensive stance the whole way.
Move action to move with Dadna back into the silent room. Standard action for Total Defense, since my movement is greater than hers.
Fley Flaxon
Fley waits as Dadna pops into the room. "Don't think the demon is here anymore." Fley mutters to Ian and Dadna.
He rushes up to the west door and peers through it, looking for any sign of life.
Perception: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (9) + 7 = 16
Leothar
Perception DC 15: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (11) + 7 = 18
Leothar hears the demon... I guess he uses Total Defense.
DM Trawets
As Fley watches he sees darkness enter the room to the west and head towards the door. Soon he is enveloped in darkness and hears an abyssal voice say "My dinner needs tenderizing!" Make a DC 19 will save or take 1d6 ⇒ 6 damage as you are hurled into the ceiling. Dadna can't see the demon from where she is.
Round 9
Party Up
Ian Passeri
Seeing the darkness envelope Fley, Ian hears the demon call Fley his dinner. He quickly tells Dadna and Ardriel, "I can create a holy shield, but you would need to keep me near, would it help?"
Drawing his longsword, flourishing it to inspire his friends. "we do not fear you demon. Come fight us!"
Full round action: Inspiring sword, Ian is line of sight from Leothar, can he see us through the darkness? If either of you want, Ian can use Holy shield next round.
For you all
Inspiring Sword 1st of 2rds: allies within 30 feet who can see your display gain a +2 sacred bonus on attack rolls, saving throws, and skill checks.
PoF 4th of 10 rd. This causes a nimbus of light to emanate from the warrior of the holy light in a 30-foot radius. | Fley Flaxon |
Will, negative level: 1d20 + 7 - 3 ⇒ (10) + 7 - 3 = 14
Fley is flung up into the ceiling then falls back down.
Fley is at 38/42 HP with three negative levels.
Fley screams in pain as he falls back to the ground. He spits in the general direction of the voice. In Abyssal, Fley retorts, "You don't scare me. We'll hunt you down and then every one of your kind.".
I really hate not having Darkvision. Should try to find a way to change that.
He'll run back to a more defensive position, right outside of the darkness. Turning to Dadna, "Do you see anything in there?"
Double move
Leothar
Seeing Ian calling upon the power of his god, Leothar realizes that the demon is to the south.
He moves through the silent room.
Double Move.
Dadna Cloudbreaker
"I bloody well don't." Dadna said, as she moved to Fley's side and provided more room for Leothar to enter. She looked around, trying to find where the demon was...
Detect evil into the western darkness towards the door if she can't see the demon
Ardriel Zinro
Finally outside the darkness, Ardriel blinks a couple times as his eyes adjust to the light, then turns his attention to the next globe of darkness. "I can try to dispel this darkness, as well, but it seems this demon can just create darkness at will."
Dadna Cloudbreaker
"Then we watch each other's backs. Make a circle, facing outward. It shows itself, we smite it back to where it came from. We can do this!" Dadna said.
Fley Flaxon
"Do... do you see it Dadna? In there?" Fley asks as he points in the darkness.
Dadna Cloudbreaker
"It's in the other room to the west." Dadna whispered. Unable to reach it just yet, she didn't want it to just fly off if she took action.
already did a move action. Best I could do is move again, but I don't see it on the map so I don't know if I could reach it, and I certainly can't attack it.
Ian Passeri
... He quickly tells Dadna and Ardriel, "I can create a holy shield, but you would need to keep me near, would it help?"
This was meant to be more of a question. Will we stay close enough to each other for Ians "holy shield" to help? Or would the two 'lay on hands' be used better elsewhere?
Hearing Dadna say the demon was in the other room, Ian steels himself. "When the darkness comes, we should stay near each other."
