Not sure of what to do, Ian calls on his power of Faith again, illuminating the whole area. Asking "What is that thing? " as he takes a step back, making room for Donnen to move back if he desires.

She knew that at least two of the group would understand her and they were the ones who operated the front line. The attempt above provokes an AoO; Donnen's AC at the moment is 24 + 1 (PoF) = 25. I put an arrow on the map, and I hope to keep moving with the creature as far as my roll possibly allow us to (one square if I beat his CMD-2 due to his charge, two squares if I beat his CMD+3), as to open space for my allies to come in the room.


Seeing the beast in the doorway, Donnen pushes it back to where it started dodging it's antlers in the process.

"Well done!" Dadna exclaimed as she followed up his charge with an attack of her own. It was an instant relief to have enough space to actually swing her weapon, so she did so with the utmost haste, before the opportunity could be lost.


Dadna moves in and swings at the creature and hits it but doesn't do the amount of damage she thought she should.

With Donnen’s charge forward, forcing the demon back, Ardriel moves to where he could see the creature. Deciding that it’s appearance warranted some holy power, he called out, ”Yuelral grant me the power to destroy this monster!” He then fired an arrow.

Move 15’ to get LOS. On mobile, so I need someone to move me. Swift action to smite evil on the demon. Attack.

Using his short, stubby legs, Fley rushes in to the left of Donnen. "Let me help you my friend."

Unsure if the others would be able to see him trying to inspire them, Ian moves into the room behind his friends. Pointing his longsword at the creature, trying to demoralize it. "Iomedae has decreed your demise!"

Fley recalls it's a beast known as a peryton. "Watch out! I know a bit about this creature. It's a mismash of various animals. Probably a wizard's experiment gone wrong."

Realizing his dagger may not do much, Fley tries to distract the beast.

Donnen swings his waraxe against the creature, with the help of Fley, but unfortunately his attack comes out wide. A loud grunt can be heard underneath the helmet.

Dadna maneuvered herself into position so that there wouldn't be anyone in the way, and then swung her weapon overhead. The chain went behind her, up and over, and then down onto the creature's shoulder. She doubted that it would bring it down, but at the very least each bit of damage added up.


Ardriel lines the creature up as Donnen attacks it and puts an arrow through it's head and it falls to the ground as Dadna thumps it. The party sees nothing but the dead bodies in the room.

Fley checks the door for traps and opens it. Bookshelves line the walls of this small library. Many of the tomes have been torn to shreds, and smoldering piles of ashes fill the room with an acrid stench. One small stack of books on a circular table seem to have escaped destruction.

In the room is a goat-headed humanoid, covered in a mangy gray hide that only partly covers its gaunt but muscled frame.

Moving quickly from the dead creature and the body strewn room, Ian waits as Fley opens the next door. Seeing the creature standing in the room, Ian, unable to resist the desire to destroy it, hustles in hugging the wall. Ian, still aglow with the Power of Faith, attacks the beast with his cold iron longsword.

Fley hobbles in to the room and pulls out his kukri. He's hoping to distract it so that Ian can get in there again.

Donnen moves to one of the corners, and on the very last part of his movement he tries to avoid provoking an attack of opportunity.

Leothar moves in and hammers the demon and it falls to the ground. Donnen then makes sure it never gets up again.

There are seven books that seem to be saved stacked up here. They are history, geography, and tactics texts. One seems to be about fighting techniques.

As you move to the aerie Fley finds no traps on the door and opens it.

Several stacked horizontal shelves hold a number of small, straw-lined bird cages. A stack of parchment, three quills, a pot of ink, and a pile of tiny cylindrical objects cover a nearby table, while a small wooden door is in one corner of the room.

In the room are four giant demonic flys, like the one you fought before.

For a moment Dadna was ready to run to the front lines, but she stopped herself. In a room this small, all it would mean was that her companions would be stuck behind her, and as they did not have the reach that they did, it would be to their detriment. Instead she waited until Leothar attacked and then swung over his head, using her people's short height to their advantage.


Leothar moves in and hammers the fly very hard, though it still stands.

Dadna needs to move into the room to attack.

Dadna moves into the room finishing off the fly Leothar had wounded. Two of the flies spit acid at Leothar and Dadna while the center one attempts to concentrate on something prompting an attack from Dadna, leaving the fly (red) barely standing.

Following Leothar and Danda in the room Ian quickly steps out of the way, making sure Donnen has plenty of room to swing his dangerous axe.

With how crowded everything is in there, Ardriel decides to cover the hallway just in case something comes out to surprise them.

Delay for now - With soft cover and my penalties for firing into melee, I don't think I can contribute to this fight.

Finally back! It seems I had extra issues this week. Glad I was able to see the tips to clear the cookies, and insisted doing it more than once and refreshing. My apologies for the delay, team.


Fley stabs the fly causing a small amount of ichor to ooze out. Donnen moves in but misses his fly. Donnen's swing gets in Dadna's way and she isn't effective in her attack. The fley in front of Donnen spits acid again getting it on Donnen and Dadna. The other fly bites Leothar.

Smiling as Donnen move into the room, Ian's countenance drops a little as the dwarves brutal blade misses it's mark and Leothar appears to be injured. Lifting his sword he tries to inspire the team. "Hang in there chief, come on Dwarves we've killed bugs before!"
