So back to the entrance room and going the other direction it is. The passage through the narrow floor is no problem, just the prospect of being attacked here makes it uncomfortable. (6) The floor of the adjoining chamber is covered with centuries of untouched dust. Along the walls, cobwebs cover gruesome fresco work depicting unworthy souls dismembered by demonic sphinxes. In the west wall, a pair of niches hold painted statues of gynosphinxes, glaring with wooden menace from beneath layers of ancient filth. A third niche stands empty to the south, while a fourth filled with rubble lies to the north.

Perception DC27:
The wall of the empty niche to the south has some flakes of plaster lying in front of it, with no corresponding cracks in the wall.

The sphinxes open their eyes as soon as the first person enters the chamber.

Earlier in the chamber
When they enter the Manuun is immediately drawn to the depictions on the wall, trying to learn more about the history of the place. The sylph walks along the walls almostignoring Ohrmoizd swift handling of the summoned viper. "Didn't we just agree not to touch anything, Ohrmizd?"

When Roryx mentiones the arcade spells, he comes over to see for himself, starting to discuss the details with the magus before the restof the party interrupts him to continue the exploration.

In the spinhx room

Following Ohrmizd leading the group into the room, Manuun immediately notice the signs of some secret door in the southern niche. He starts moving over there when he is stopped by the sphinxes opening their eyes. he steps back behind Ohrmizds shield and watches the statues warily.

He followed Manuun and was completely oblivious to anything that Roryx or Manuun would have seen. Instead, he followed their lead and went behind Manuun.

Ohrmizd slashes at the animated statue, his blade almost getting stuck in the wood. Manuun adds a carving of his own and Roryx sets the final blow chopping off the head of the statue. It falls like a broken toy.

Omari shoots at the other one, but the arrows deflect off the hardened surface.

He steps quickly to the side trying to protect Heshan from the sphinx and slashes very fast at the creature.

Once the sphinxes are cut down Manuun steps up to look at paintings covring the wall. "These Ladies certainly have a nasty look to them. A lonely Explorer could have been seriously hurt."

After another few seconds he seems to remember: "Well we should move onwards through the door." Pointing at that niche he searched earlier. "I wonder whats behind it that somebody meant to hide it."

(7) Three spacious tubs dominate this room, with large terra-cotta braziers placed between them. Narrow vents lead into the ceiling above each brazier, evidently the source of the sand and grit covering the floor. Warped and decrepit racks stand along the walls, the amphorae they once held now lying on the floor in shattered fragments. Sagging stone shelves hold dozens of small clay jars and bowls, many holding rotted or dusty remnants of ancient pastes or herbs.

A rank stench emanates from a strange heap of debris in the room’s northwest corner. Apparently made from broken bits of furniture and hundreds of torn papyrus pages, a narrow hole leads into the center of the pile.

Three small humanoid creatures, their skin grey-brownish, with unproportionally long arms that end in four overly long fingers quabble over something. As Roryx enters the room, they turn on him.

The others, but Manuun only see Roryx walking through a solid wall.

The small creatures swarm Roryx ogling him like a welcome snack. One grabs him by the neck, making it impossible for him to speak.

The Keleshite heals himself CLW: 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6 and renews the light in his scimitar and asks for a guidance prayer to Sarenrae before helping Roryx pushing open the secret door after checking it for traps with his more perceptive friend.

Besides, if demoralized they are shaken and with the -2 penalty it fails on Roryx.
That said, constrict damage happens on each successful grapple check, including the initial one of grab, very nasty!

So, is Roryx grappled, as per the grappled condition? Assuming yes, I can only attack 1h:

His throat caught in a chokehold, all Roryx can do is growl as he swings yet again at the first creature which grabbed him. His eyes glow with magical intensity.

Feeling Omari pushing him from the back and seeing most of the chokers , Manuun decides to go for broke and dashes into the room before letting fly another arrow at the fleeing chokers.

I assume I can move forward as there should be space next to Ohrmizd and Roryx. Don't know which one is the choker still fighting but I think I can take one AoO.

I tend to forget about conditions, but Roryx is grappled, which cost him DEX-4 = AC-2, so I failed successfully with my math.

Roryx splats the first choker. Manuun is lucky to not being grabbed when passing by, and puts an arrow into the one trying.
