Kazmukh Torson |

Kazmukh strikes out with his shield and hammer, smashing the enemy, then raises his shield back into a a defensive position.

Revna Stigen |

Woot woot! Crits in the house! XD
Also did Revna down hers? I think she dropped it to 0 I believe...

Yes, they are all downed for good.
A quick survey of the area turns up three disturbed shallow graves... apparently these creatures dug their way out of these, while four other shallow graves lie nearby undisturbed. Each grave, even the ones that were broken open, have a longsword shoved into the ground, to serve as a marker.

Elinil Iomedaeson |

1) Detect magic please, and 2) Religion check please... I have neither. As a player, I wonder if the Longswords are an Iomedae thing.
Elinil is concerned, this seems odd : "Those are expensive grave markers for the stolen lands - not many folk would put good swords in the ground like that. Could it be an Iomedaen custom? I ran away from their orphanage early, but they did have a thing about longswords. Also, should we dig up and make sure of the other four? But that will have us hear all night. Perhaps push to Dawnsglen and come back on the morrow?

Revna Stigen |

Religion: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (11) + 3 = 14
"Dig up grave, no good idea." Revna said with a shake of her head as she took a look at the graves. "Off." She agreed. "Pray and leave, give dead rest."

Elinil Iomedaeson |

"I am sorry, Kazmukh, Anri, how are your wounds? We can take a few minutes to treat them, pray over the graves, and then I say let us hie to Dawnsglen and come back on the morrow to investigate"
I propose a 10 minute break to treat wounds - Revna using Herb lore in place of medicine. If needed I can soothe (and Revna can lay on hands, I believe). Then let's head to Dawnsglen to camp for the night and come back to investigate tomorrow. Also, is there any interest in looting 7 longswords?

Revna Stigen |

Revna set down her pack and Filtiarn, as she got the healer's kit out of her pack. "Have for need." Revna said as she got the items out that are most commonly used.
Herb lore: 1d20 + 4 + 1 ⇒ (11) + 4 + 1 = 16

Anri Winnowill Darkspur |

Anri ties the longswords onto Hestur, party permitting. She nods to Elinil, to indicate that she is unwounded and feeling fine.

Revna Stigen |

After the GM posted in the Discussion I was waiting to make sure he got caught up. In other words I was waiting on the GM

Within an hour or two, the hearthlight of the lodge becomes visible through the wood, and you make your way with haste towards its warm embrace. The lodge is a solid-looking, single-story building with a waist-high stone fence surrounding its yard. From inside, you hear laughter and the smell of roasting rabbit fills your nostrils.

Revna Stigen |

Revna took in a deep breath and smiled. "Kanína Rabbit." She said before she held up Filtiarn and grinned. "Let go, get you fed."
Then she made her way thought the gate and to the front door, knocking solidly three times.

Anri Winnowill Darkspur |

Anri ties Hestur to a nearby tree or hearth-rigging, making sure to keep the rolled swords as out of view as possible.
"I forget who we are meeting here? She allows herself to think out loud.

Elinil Iomedaeson |

As the party approaches the gate to Dawnsglen lodge, Elinil shouts out :"HELLO THE HOUSE. MARSHALL MOSSWAXER'S DEPUTIES SEEKING SHELTER AT DAWNSGLEN" in a normal voice, he continues to his companions "No need to surprise folks with banging at the door in the middle of the night; this land isn't a settled enough for that to be appreciated."
In reply to Anri's musing, "I do not believe we had any meetings planned, rather we are to use the lodge as a base of operations while we hunt Ismort and his band."

![]() |

A man with a well trimmed beard and dark hair dressed in smartly appointed studded leathers and an apron made of hide opens the lodge door, his muscular frame backlit by the fire within.
Near the fire, two smaller, shaggier men in furs and hides roast a rabbit by the fire. They turn to see who approaches, but do not leave their meal, the skinnier man turning it on a spit.
The dark-haired man sweeps the door aside and gestures for you to enter. "Come in, deputies. Dawnsglen is glad to serve His and Her Majesties and their agents."

Revna Stigen |

Revna stepped in and set Filtiarn down so that he could explore the area.
"Paper for you." Revna said. "Think, Anri has." Revna added before she moved to the others inside. "Revna Stigen, he" Revna motioned to Filtiarn, "Filtiarn. Met well!" She smiled.

Kazmukh Torson |

"A pleasure, and thank you for your warm welcome. Tell me: What news? We ran in to some ghouls not far from here. Have things been dangerous in the area?"

Anri Winnowill Darkspur |

Anri produces the letters, and hands to the man the one addressed "Dungrir Kelper", having re-sealed it forgerously after a "light read" back at the other village. She smiles painedly non-chalantly...
Dunny,
I present the Deputy Marshals Anri Darkspur, Brennadara, Elinil Iomedaeson, Kazmukh Torson, and Revna Stigen. By order of the Kindom of Yggsdreth and by the power invested in me as Marshal of Said Kingdom, the five named individuals are authorized to utilize the Dawnsglen Lodge as they deem fit in the pursuit of justice against the criminal Akiros Ismort and any who swear loyalty to him, as well as any others actively engaging in banditry, poaching, or any other criminal activities in the area. Compensation for this consideration in the sum of fifty silver coins, presented with this letter, are to be considered down payment, with further compensation based on length of stay and amenities provided to be determined at a later date.
Gingertucker Mosswaxer
Marshal of Yggsreth
The Marshal’s Official seal is stamped in the paint she gave you for stones below her signature.

Revna Stigen |

I figured we'd explain that with you know, our guides vanishment?

Revna Stigen |

"Problem." Revna said with a nod. "Mosswaxer, poof." She tried to explain.

Revna Stigen |

"No, no." Revna tried to explain. "Mosswaxer, gone." She said again. "Talar þú Skald?" She asked.

![]() |

"Auðvitað tala ég tungu konungs. Tala berum orðum og láta í þér heyra." comes Dungrir's response to Revna.
To Kazmukh he says in common "I'm sure she gave you more specific instructions, but the letter says you're to root out Ismort and his band of fiends and any else who would disrupt the King's rule."
Of course I speak the King's tongue. Speak plainly, and be heard.

Revna Stigen |

Revna explained, rather glad she found another who could speak her tongue.

Anri Winnowill Darkspur |

"Þó samstarfsmenn mínir séu ósammála tel ég að þetta hafi verið dularfull panna, sem við gátum því miður ekki drepið vegna töfra." Anri adds, looking crossly at Elinil.
Although my colleagues disagree, I believe that this was a mysterious pan, which we unfortunately could not kill due to magic.
How many days ago was the wedding? 3?

How many days ago was the wedding? 3?
I'm thinking closer to a week, there were "a few days travel" between following the raiders who hit tom sr and the ghouls
I will also publicly note, that, "oh we're speaking skald", and 1/2 the party can't play in the RP is just getting f%~#ing annoying... This is why there's a language called common, that everyone in the game knows.

Kazmukh Torson |

"Well, I do better "rooting out" on a full stomach and a night's rest. Time to dry out our socks, and perhaps you can tell us what you know of Ismort in the morning."
I don't mind the speaking skald. GM, how would you feel about us using Downtime to learn a new language? (I'm fine if that's a no. It's not in the rules, but they do something similar in PFS.) Obviously that's long-term.
