Site avatar selection is borked right now. No one can select or change avatars.
Ah, thanks--now everything everyone was talking about with finding avatars makes more sense.

GM Snowheart |

On the links, handouts are meant to be view only, but the maps should be editable. I just tried updating the link again. Let me know if that works.

Vivia Nens |

Yep, looks good now!

Brogol Stokl |

Gong farmers?! Nice! Anyone read The Ghost Map? The stuff about Night Soil Men in that book stuck with me more than anything else.

Karik, I may have missed it but I didn’t see a post from you linking to images, so I used a dhampir image I found. I forgot to add one for the eidolon. I’ll do so today.
Brogol, that’s a new one for me but I’ll grab it for my husband. He loves history and that looks pretty interesting.

GM Snowheart |

FYI, I expect I’m going to be in meetings most of the day tomorrow (Thursday). I should still have updates up in the evening but wanted to let you know.

Brogol Stokl |

It is the best kind of history, imo - well-written, engaging, and reads like a good mystery novel. I highly recommend it!

Sounds sweet. I've never heard of it, but I'll have to check it out.

Brogol Stokl |

In case it makes a difference, Brogol's coup-de-gras damage should be higher by a d6, (It should be 2d6 for the weapon automatic crit plus d6 for the sneak attack damage). Also, what's the light situation in this courtyard?
D'oh! Thank you. I don't know why I forgot to factor in the crit.

Vivia Nens |

:>
Gotta get our free stealth KOs while we can!

GM Snowheart |

Thanks! I added it in. I was looking at it before and for some reason though the second 1d6 was the crit damage, forgetting about the SA.

GM Snowheart |

Ingrid with a natural 19... so close to a crit, and 9 points as minimum damage. Insane.

Vivia Nens |

Ye olde Divine Favor + Fate's Favored. It's pretty potent stuff.

Ingrid Foedottir |

Yup! Str18, Power Attack, Fate’s Favored and Divine Favor.
Just wish it was possible to get dragon style on top of it, but couldn’t figure out a build path.

Raziya Magaalye |

::casually looks up Ingrid's blessings to see if they can be applied to enemies, curses as she realizes that since he can say no to acquiring a Bite Attack, Raziya can't actually Murderous Command this guy to eat his own friends...::
You can get Dragon Style with a one level dip into Scaled Fist Monk, but you'll need Feral Combat Training (and thus W. Focus Claws) to get it to apply outside of true unarmed strikes.

Oy! We need this avatar thing fixed! :(
Seriously!

Ingrid Foedottir |

So, I realize that I can only spontaneously make inflict spells. And with fervor I can Swift action. GM, can I add VMC Oracle so I can take a curse that makes me be healed by negative energy and harmed by positive? It would fit the cursed Tiefling theme and would allow her to heal herself.

Brogol Stokl |

Work today is giving me a kicking - I hope to get a post up in an hour or two.

GM Snowheart |

Brogol, no worries
Ingrid, this may be a bit silly and perhaps I’m missing some nuances to the VMC, but I generally think of the curse as not necessarily being all that serious but at least having some sort of detrimental impact. Here it seems like it would just eliminate a different challenge and be wholly beneficial.
On the other hand, I did say VMC was fine, so the only difference here is you’re asking to make an adjustment after recruitment, which I generally allow at any point before hitting second level.
Gah! Yeah, go ahead and make the change.

GM Snowheart |

With practised ease Vaelor siphons some blood from Louslik into Karik’s flask.
[dice=heal] 1d20+12
In a whisper more to herself than Louslik she says ”Thank you for this, the master can be nasty when he’s thirsty.”
Vaelor then gags and blindfolds Louslik with strips of cloth cut from his own clothes.
Hey Karik, a few questions.
1. I know that's a Heal skill check, but is it supposed to be +11 or +12 for Vaelor, and can you walk me through the bonuses on how it got that high? (1 for Rank, 3 for class, 7 or 8 from...?)
2. I don't suppose there are any rules you're aware of on taking blood from people (calculating DCs, volume, damage, etc.)? No worries if not; I agree Heal is the right check, absent a specific ability, but I'll have to think something up.
3. Also, not a big deal, but can you get the stat blocks for Karik and Vaelor copied into the alias profiles (like Brogol or Ingrid)? That way I don't have to go digging through posts and my PM inbox to find them.
Thanks! :)

And since we're likely to be fighting against a lot of divine goodie-two-shoes, I'm anticipating that we'll get hit with some channeled positive energy at some point or Heal o_o- especially when I've got lovely skellies and such roaming around nearby.
So it'll probably be at least a little doubled edged...

Vaelor Kytonkin |

Base Evolutions: At 1st level, kyton eidolons gain the resistance (cold) and skilled (Heal) evolutions. They also gain proficiency with the spiked chain.

Ingrid Foedottir |

Thanks!
Also, it is kind of a curse still. In that regular healing won’t work, and it closes off many really good feats for subpar ones. Plus lvl11? I need to retrain it now or I don’t even get a feat! That alone really sucks.

Thanks! That explains it perfectly. Just seemed high for 1st level so I wanted to confirm.

My wife got called for jury duty and seated in a trial, so I'm on childcare and working some tight deadlines at work while losing that time during the day to do so. Posting may be spotty into early next week.
If combat breaks out and Brogol needs botting, he'll try and flank and stab.

GM Snowheart |

No worries, Brogol. Thanks for the heads up and good luck to your wife on jury duty.

Karik Blood-drinker |

Ingrid remained silent, but that didn’t detract from her presence. Bloody claws, sharp teeth, a tail...her mere presence was intimidating to those without martial experience.
I read that as Marital experience and had some questions for you Ingrid...

Wow, Ingrid. That’s dark! ... I love it! :-D
Got some thoughts on how to play that out but will give others a chance to post.

Ingrid Foedottir |

Thanks. :)
It seemed like the most logical solution for someone like her. Especially as once they commit the murder, they will be unlikely to run to the watch, which will give us time to escape. That, and it should be effective in spreading fear about opposing Thrune. But most importantly, it was something that in 99% of tables we’d never be able to do.

Ingrid Foedottir |

My apologies for stealing the scene. But it felt right to continue with it. For the claws, they only come into effect if needed. She wants the man bleeding out if at all possible.
Also, I’m thinking that Ingrid’s alignment is now so purely lodged in the evil category that it would take muleback cords to raise it up.

Brogol Stokl |

^ It was great. Nicely done, Ingrid and GM.
Spouse is still on jury duty, hope the trial is wrapped up tomorrow.

GM Snowheart |

BTW - There isn't a whole lot at the moment, but if y'all would like to do a loot sheet, I can add a link to it on the campaign info tab and top of the page. I can either copy one I've used in other campaigns or if someone has a favorite they want to use, I'm happy to link that.
How exactly you want to divvy up treasure is up to y'all.

GM Snowheart |

Eris, next time I post in gameplay, I absolutely will add in something on the workshop. For what it's worth, though, there wasn't a whole lot; I think just another set of tools and the like. Nothing magical or phat loot.

Awesome, thanks.

GM Snowheart |

I updated the Handouts presentation to include your names under the character portraits; should help a bit more for those characters currently without avatar portraits.
Let me know if you'd like to swap your portrait to alternative artwork and, if so, just include a hyperlink to the art you'd like.
I'll use these for combats going forward unless you want to change them and until avatars here on the forums get fixed.

GM Snowheart |

Dealing with a sick toddler (but not sick enough he stays in bed asleep) and some work today, so updates may be slower than usual.

Brogol Stokl |

Thanks for the portrait update, GM. I'm also a toddler-haver. I hope yours feels better soon.

Ingrid Foedottir |

Fellow parent of a toddler. The struggle is real. Best of luck over there, hope he feels better

![]() |

Mine are no longer toddlers, though with our four kids we had three of them in diapers at the same time. Twice. I can definitely relate.
As for the "gifts" we received, does anyone have a preference on claiming anything?

Ingrid Foedottir |

The only thing that is an upgrade for me is the Leather. -1 ACP. But the mace is thematically something she’d also like. So either one works for me.

GM Snowheart |

FWIW, if there is nothing that quite fits, we can retcon and swap somethingg for a different armor or weapon of <400 gp value

If mine could be some mwk banded mail armor dyed like the lamellar was, that would be amazing. I didn't see anything else that was great fit for me, but I would wear that for a long time.

Done!
