GM Snowheart |

I'm going to give us time for some additional role-play here in the parlor today, then advance us to the next day tonight or Monday morning.

Vivia Nens |

Seems we're on the quieter side with this group on weekends.

Vivia, yeah, weekends are usually pretty quiet. I don't expect more than one post but I also don't want to stall out on a scene and have it drag on, particularly early in a game.
Karik and Raziya, can you please put your characters' backgrounds in a spoiler box on their profile pages? Hard for me to keep clicking through posts to find it.

Ingrid Foedottir |

Weekends are my family time. It’s hard to get a post in.

Vivia Nens |

Avatars are back.
/flexes new face

Vivia Nens |

I kinda like the full art I scrounged up better though :<

![]() |

Yeah, it would be nice if you could do custom avatars. Of course, there's the Paizo Google extension that makes it so YOU see your avatar that way, but not everyone else.

GM Snowheart |

WOOT! Yay!
And, yes, Vivia, I hear ya (although I think you found a pretty good avatar for Vivia). Further complicating things for me is I have a PC in another game with a hat of disguise, and I just decided to do a pinterest link for everything.

Vaelor Kytonkin |

I am so surprised the image of a chain devil is not an available avatar

Raziya Magaalye |

There's Asyra the kyton from CotCT.
Under Female & Outsider she was within my first 60 results :-)
But also FACES! SO HAPPY!

how did I miss that? However I like the overly happy face in this one along with the spiked chain and dead eyes :P

GM Snowheart |

FYI. This particular AP has a rule subsystem for tracking unrest in Longacre, which it calls "Rebellion Points". The fundamental idea here is that you want to prevent Longacre from going into open rebellion. Letting things go unchecked will have rebellion points continue to accumulate as the GR's agents go about their tasks without opposition. Crack down too hard, Rebellion Points can also accrue. Find the right pressure points, and you can slow things down. That said, there is no wrong or right way to go about this. Play your characters as they would act.
I'll add a page to the handouts to track the Rebellion Points accumulated over time, and I'll report here or in Gameplay when they are accrued or prevented. To wit...
Four points have accrued.

Ingrid Foedottir |

Anyone have command? Hide somewhere and command the speaker to do something embarrassing. That alone could put a dent in the effects of the gathering

Raziya Magaalye |

I'm additionally concerned that unless we've gotten Conceal Spell as a bonus feat, that spellslinging in the middle of a crowd would be viewed... dimly.

Brogol Stokl |

While not having spells, Brogol has pretty good bluff and stealth modifiers, as well as diplomacy, sense motive, intimidate, and perception that range from +4 - +6.
He also, as far as he knows, isn't connected much to the other PCs by most townfolk. He could blend into the crowd and play the skeptic, talk to folks he knows, and spread rumors.

Brogol Stokl |

Apologies all - we just closed our Library, and as a member of our Library Leadership Team, I've got a lot to get figured out in the next few days.
I'll be back ASAP.

GM Snowheart |

Understood! Thanks for the heads up and stay safe. Sorry to hear we’re losing resources like libraries, too, but better to be safe.

Ingrid Foedottir |

Its getting crazy. At this moment I’m working on getting telework approved.
Also...I was supposed to go for a week of national guard duty. It was my last drill, and it just got cancelled. Been in for 6 years and never have had that happen before. When even the military gets told to stay home, you know it’s bad.

GM Snowheart |

I guess for a drill, that makes sense. On the other hand, I wouldn’t be surprised if they start getting called up, soon. China and Italy both wound up deploying tons of people to lock down neighborhoods and intersections. For us, that’s always been the guard.
FWIW, I understand this thing is affecting everyone in different ways. I’m finding myself with a lot of time (though also having to take care of my 4 year old), but Brogol has more work than usual. I’m not going to pause the game but recognize the daily post expectation isn’t entirely feasible right now.
Hang in there, all. Be safe but don’t panic. There’s no indication supply chains have been disrupted anywhere so hoarding.

Brogol Stokl |

The order from our university administration came down with little notice, though we'd been planning for a couple of weeks now based on three scenarios.
I'm about dug out. Hope to get caught up tonight or tomorrow.
Hope everyone is doing well.

Brogol Stokl |

D'oh!
I love it when actions have game-world consequences. Nicely done, GM.

GM Snowheart |

Brogol, I can't take all the credit for that as it is called out in the AP, but I would have done it anyway. This AP doesn't require but certainly favors of a degree of discretion and creative problem solving. But glad you liked it! Now, on a completely different note...
All,
I was reading through the 2e CRB section on gamemastering last night and came across the section on consent. I think I had referenced some of this in the recruitment post, but I wanted to touch base and offer to have a conversation around consent.
As this is an evil campaign, it's particularly relevant and I don't want anyone uncomfortable or unable to enjoy the game because of anything happening in the gameplay thread.
Two helpful concepts are the "line" and the "veil". For some issues, we draw a "line" and just say this isn't going to be discussed or happen in our game, and others we can incorporate into the game but, when they actually happen, the "veil" or curtain falls and it happens off screen.
In the recruitment post, as this is an evil campaign, I said I was open to the idea of torture in the game but it would happen behind the veil, probably resolved through an intimidate check. I also said any romantic liaisons would happen behind the veil.
I'm also going to draw a line on any sort of sexual assault or violence. I think that's actually a Paizo forum rule, but just want to be clear here in case it's not.
While recognizing this is an evil campaign, is there anything else folks want to draw a line on or put behind a veil?
Feel free to reach out to me via PM if you'd like to discuss privately.

![]() |

I think these are good boundaries. The drawing of the curtain over torture, etc. seems like the best way to go.
Plus, I don't want this to be Pathfinder NSFW Edition.
Good ideas.

Brogol Stokl |

Works for me!

But seriously, I think those are great rules.
Would anyone object to drawing a line on miscarriage, fetal death ect?

Vivia Nens |

That sounds like a reasonable set. Good by me.

Brogol Stokl |

Apologies, fast-approaching deadline. I'll get a post up tomorrow afternoon, PT.

GM Snowheart |

I just realized we haven’t heard from Ingrid in almost a week, so I’m going to park her in the background for now. Update up soon.

Ingrid Foedottir |

Shyt, I’m here. Sorry. Didn’t realize I was holding us up. Gameplay wasn’t showing any new posts...

Ingrid Foedottir |

Starting to feel like Ingrid is the rationale and reserved one here. That’s a scary thought.

Karik Blood-drinker |

I'm not going to assume we will take everything not nailed down here, but if we do take stuff for the purpose of selling/group use does one person want to take responsibility for tracking it?

Brogol Stokl |

Busy day today, may not get a post up until tomorrow.

A link to a loot sheet has been posted at the top. Feel free to click in and see if you can edit it. This is copied from the other table I'm running but I did update the data validation and whatnot.
If you keep this updated with all of your equipment, it will also help me track wealth by level and keep you appropriately geared.

Brogol Stokl |

^ Thanks for putting this together, GM. I tried to edit and was unable. Sent a request.
So, IIRC, we have 200 gp total from payment for Razelago's jobs, plus our gift from Razelago, and any ill-gotten gains from the tannery and the sheriff's office?

GM Snowheart |

Very weird. I checked the link a couple times to ensure it was for the edit permission... Hmm. Anyway, just "approved" your edit request so should work now.
On Razelago...
100 gp for the tannery
200 gp for the sermon at the church
Plus loot from tannery and office.

GM Snowheart |

Been feeling a little under the weather today. Will try to have something up tonight or tomorrow morning. My apologies. Fortunately I’m quite sure it’s just allergies plus
exhaustion at prepping for a training I had to give; nothing serious.

Vivia Nens |

No worries Snow. Hope you're feeling better tomorrow!
