You head north through what looks to be a crypt. Each of the niches contains more dead people, which you guess were ancient church dignitaries. your procession is slow, quiet, and cautious until the silence is broken by a girly scream coming from Urah, who points back at one of the corpses that seems not quite so dead any longer.

miteke, in combat order you have the green zombie listed twice and the purple one none, I assume the second 'green' is purple?

Turning to see why Urah screamed Gnasher curses, "Damn Undead!" Hearing shuffling to the front, he turns seeing undead coming out of the crypts. Giving a peculiar laugh he begins to rage. His paws grow into overly large claws, his eyes glow red, his fangs enlarge and he begins to froth at the mouth. While his brown hide takes on a red-orange cast to it, He lifts the bardiche high and slashes at purple undead, then steps back glaring at the undead daring them to come at him.

You are correct about green being purple, though it is moot since you eliminated the thing.

Gnasher's attack slices through the corpse thing and cleaves it in half, though it seems a little resistant to the damage.

Malgrim falls back down the hall to aid Urah. A strange sword made of water appears in his hand as he swings at the zombie before dissolving.

Move south. Use kinetic blade to attack the zombie next to Urah. It goes away at the end of my turn. 0 burn taken with Infusion Specialization. I am not empowering.

The corpse is pretty tough and the swing splashes off it's armored skin. Reaching towards you it whispers,

osirian:
"Stay with us... stay forever with Xulthos..."

which is a bit unnerving since its voice grates like stone. Besides, everyone knows zombies don't talk.

The other not-a-zombies echo the chorus from the first one. It seems that they all feel the same way about you. How charming!

And scary. Everyone give me a DC 13 will save vs. fear or be panicked.

Well, at least I don't hold anything. See ya all later.

Since you are surrounded/cornered, your response will be to "cower and not attack, typically using the total defense action in combat". That means staying as far away from the things as possible on either side of you. Now if someone manages to destroy all the undead on one side, then you will hightail it away.

Mal, buddy, you are out of commission for 2d4 ⇒ (4, 1) = 5 rounds unless someone has a way to help.

Urah wails and kicks wildly as he goes near insane in his frantic efforts to get away!!!

:) I can picture it quite well. Urah in a full blown panic as he is being choked to death. Like something right out of a horror movie.

im not super excited about these zombies getting back up. Did anyone do a knowledge check on these things?

Nope, nobody did. You would need a knowledge religion roll for that. In their defense, most of the PCs are not only not skill monkeys, but not even skill interested. Barbarians, fighters, and sorcerers are the worst of the worst. The kineticist has a fair amount but Malgrim obviously does not believe in diversity and put squat into knowledge skills. Tarak is a druid and has a couple knowledge skills, but you know Druids. More interested in nature and land than religion and arcana. So the bottom line is that you guys rarely get to take a knowledge roll, much less make one. The limit of your knowledge on things like this is 'creepy thing that should be and stay dead'.

Urah flails and twists his body about as he bucks like a wild rodeo bursting to get loose as his mouth begins a litany of threats, pleas and.......... boasts?
In celestial due to curse lol

Urah flails and curses and spreads spittle, then considers new training when it all fails. You are going to need a Nat 20 since the DC is 28.

Urah:
Urah knows that these are a minor variation on the Coffer Corpse. They are a lot like a tough skeleton in that they have damage resistance unless struck with a blunt magical weapon. Their fear effect he is already intimately acquainted with and is triggered by their rising from death and whispering.

"Club Club Club Club! Magic corpse!! Fear!!!!" Urah Gibbers......

Botting Mei
will st: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (18) + 2 = 20

Mei once again shrugs off the effects and runs back to help Urah, trusting in his armor to prevent the lazy corpse from striking him.

AoO: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 10

Which turns out to pay off as the awkward thing flails about wildly again.

to hit spear: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (18) + 12 = 30
damage: 1d8 + 10 ⇒ (5) + 10 = 15

Naturally Mei does not flail about wildly, but instead sticks her spear right through the handsy undead, shakes it a few times, lifts it off the ground, smashes it against the wall, and then tosses it to the ground. Where it stays. Which frees Urah, of course.

The brown booted zombie follows Mei, really wanting a second try, or is it the third or fourth try?

AoO: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5

WAS that a try? Nobody is even sure if it was picking its's nose or trying to hit Mei. One can only assume it was trying to hit Mei because, well, undead don't pick their noses, right?

It does not stack, it just supersedes if more. so basically you are out for 3 more rounds.

Tarak is up. If he misses his will roll, that end of the corridor is going to get mighty crowded. Worse, your characters will all be crouching in Gnasher's urine.
