Anything on your last day?
Unfinished business?
As the finishing touches are done on the new Spartan armor, Theo visits R&D often. And looking for the mousy professor as well.
The Olympian is pleased for Nissa. As his daughter, Theo doesn't feel overshadowed like before, but can take pride and pleasure in The Bombshell's accomplishments.

Zellgato |

Assuming Henri and Zellgato don't end up in insanity due to the nanite shenangans.
Zellgato simply veges out on the last day, taking in several movies in civie disguises, checks out a few book stores, stops by the old harrow shop of the fortune teller from prior to the demon invasion. As he's gotten older he's learned to enjoy the quiet days. Particularly when they're forced on him.
The last thing he will do; whenever they finish up with the ship situation, is return the tools they borrowed.

Henri Patineur |

Fortitude DC 15: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 10
As Zellgato nervously waits to see what Henri’s potentially ill-advised actions lead to, he sees the pilot settle into the seat. Henri mutters, ”I’m trying too hard. I need to relax and let it do what it wants to do.”
Suddenly, the speedster’s head jerks back, striking the head cushion in his chair, almost knocking himself out. Disoriented, he unbuckles his harness and tried to stand. Slurring, he says, ”Well, that didn do nuttin…” and he falls facefirst into the decking of the bridge.
If left to his own devices, Henri eventually rolls onto his back and talks to the ceiling. ”You really need to work on your bedside manner. If this is how you introduce yourself to people, someone’s going to die. Your name is Gay Deceiver, of course. I’m very pleased to finally meet you.”
Slowly standing up as though he doesn’t trust his balance, the speedster dusts himself off and says, ”Zellgato, may I introduce you to Gay Deceiver, my obsession of the last two weeks. Gay, this is a member of the family. You will meet the others soon.”

Zellgato |

As Henri collapses, Zellgato takes a step back for a moment, but pulls out his basic kit to make sure Henri is alright, rolling him on to his back continued above
...Are you introducing me to the voices in your head Henri...?" with an eyebrow raised

Henri Patineur |

”Gay Deceiver, please modulate a woman’s voice, mid-range in tone, professional in speech pattern, and speak to Zellgato over the loudspeakers. He cannot interface with you as I do, so you will need to be verbal for him and the others.”
Looking at Zellgato, he grins very boyishly and says, ”Yes, precisely. Our ship has a voice and a name now.”

Tarren the Dungeon Master |

The ship shouts loud enough to make Zellgato and Henri cover their ears."HELLO ZELLGATO, I AM GAY DECEIVER. I AM AN POSEIDON INDUSTRIES CUSTOM-MADE TIME SHIP, THE ONLY TIME SHIP OF MY CLASS. WHEN WOULD YOU LIKE TO GO?"
The pounding in Henri's head caused by the nanites is now gone. Their upgrade has made the link with the ship seamless. Henri is the Gay Deceiver and the Gay Deceiver is Henri.
(I'm not surprised the kids called the ship 'Poseidon' when they 'borrowed it'.)

The Olympian is pleased for Nissa. As his daughter, Theo doesn't feel overshadowed like before, but can take pride and pleasure in The Bombshell's accomplishments.
Theo finds the mousy professor alone, guiding a robotic arm in writing, in Ancient Greek, on the inside of a leg brace. The writing is tiny and ornate. You can see that decorating this armour is a labour of love as she is fully engaged with it.
A digital label on the door to this workroom reminds you of her name, Korey Winterdown.
When she sees Theo she blushes and smiles and gestures towards the writing on the leg brace, "A little prayer to keep you safe."

The Olympian |

Theo gets down really close to the leg brace to see the inscriptions.
The Olympian then looks back up to Dr. Winterdown, clearly impressed. "I've always heard stories of powerful artifacts inscribed with esoteric and celestial writings. I've never thought I've have an opportunity to wear something of that caliber into battle. I think Hephaestus himself would be proud of your work. I know I am. Thank you very much, Korey! Truly masterful work!"
Sense Motive: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (9) + 6 = 15
If Dr. Winterdown puts forth any vibes she wants to be kissed by Theo, he'll act on it! The Olympian is blown away by the level of craftsmanship going into his new armor!

Henri Patineur |

”Gay Deceiver, adjust the volume on your loudspeakers, please. Let’s start with 25% of the current volume. Please introduce yourself again.”

Henri Patineur |

"A name, a voice, and a sense of humor. The phrase was archaic, meant to reference a piece of audio equipment without regard for the volume. But I'm sure you already knew that, didn't you?"
"Gay Deceiver, you are the newest member of a team of heroes and troubleshooters and I can't even imagine the adventures we will see together. But at the moment, we have a secret - no one knows how special you are except Zellgato and myself. We want to keep it that way until we get to know you better. Please do not speak aloud to anyone - pretend to be a mundane ship of exotic design - unless I introduce you to them. And maintain security lockdown. I'm sure you have ways of making sure anyone sneaking aboard and trying to drive the ship fails, yes?"
He pauses, "As an intelligent ship, first and only of her line, you know if there are overrides built into your systems, correct?"

Zellgato |

The ship shouts loud enough to make Zellgato and Henri cover their ears."HELLO ZELLGATO, I AM GAY DECEIVER. I AM AN POSEIDON INDUSTRIES CUSTOM-MADE TIME SHIP, THE ONLY TIME SHIP OF MY CLASS. WHEN WOULD YOU LIKE TO GO?"
"You did say LOUDspeakers," says the ship. "Hello Friends, I am Gay Deceiver. I am a Poseidon Industries custom-made time ship, the only time ship of my class. When would you like to go?"
Henri may not have pounding headache from the nanites but Zellgato's ears are now ringing. He leaves the "when" aside "Well. Greetings then G.D. What modes of travel in the phsyical world do you offer?" He'll add in to Henri's inquiry.

Unity, Chimeric Superhero |

Unity return from their trip into the mountains feeling refreshed, their wing muscles aching in a good way after all the flying they've been doing. They bring an odd feather with them back to Boston Theoretical and hand it off to be analyzed. Then they gather whichever of their teammates are available and willing to talk.
"We've been realizing that, if we're going to go hunting PhDestruction, we should give you some description of him," they say. They detail his appearance and mannerisms, or at least what of them they saw while their various components were being experimented on.
They hesitate a bit, then add, "We've also been having some... strange dreams." They describe what they'd dreamed recently (on the previous page). "It's probably just nerves about what's coming, but... Nissa, Theo? You seem like you might know about, uh, prophecy dreams?"

Nissa, the Subatomic Bombshell |

I read the recurrences when you posted. That was fun!
Nissa considers her own experiences. “Like you said before, my Creator is a Goddess, not a supervillain. So the motives are different. But the dreams… maybe there are similarities?
“What was the message from your dream?” Or, if it’s unclear, Nissa asks Unity what they believe the message to be.

Unity, Chimeric Superhero |

Unity shrug both pairs of their forelimbs. "That PhDestruction is a madman? That we don't know what we're doing? Half the reason we're talking to you about it is because we don't even know if it *has* a message or not."

Nissa, the Subatomic Bombshell |

Nissa chances that she knows one thing for certain: “There’s definitely a message.
“For me it was a clarification. The Dawnflower spared me a soulless death, and I love Her gift. It’s this body, though the day I received my transformation, the gift was in-part a humility lesson…”
Nissa goes on to describe the woman she met on the private beach. “At the time it was strange to see her like that. How could this woman speak of luxury in such a condescending tone? Was she not a supermodel, obviously far more glamorous than myself?
“I had forgotten this dream until a night we rested in Utopia. I think my goddess changed me in phases, so I would be ready for the permanent change.”
She sums up what her dreams meant: “I think my Goddess wanted me to embrace the body She’s given me, and also, there are expectations as to how I’m to behave and how best to represent Her.”

The AIs are able to search the video footage of the neighbourhoods of the attacks, both before and after the event and make comparison and they do find a similar figure at multiple sites. A man, in a suit, wearing a bowler hat, gloves, and necktie (all black), sometimes with a square device in his hand.
The AI tags the footage as a case of mistaken identity due to faulty generalization partly because the man appears in footage of two attacks that occurred simultaneously in different countries. Suspected Faulty Generalization. Query: Bowler Hats, fashion trend, 2222?

Zellgato |

Wow that worked interestingly
When he's able, he'll pull up that photo, and try to gather from several angles as avaible and show to the group. "Look familiar to anyone? Or is this a fashion thing Nissa? Assuming the AI scaled and scanned properly. This target is surprisingly common, baring it being some kind of fashion trend I guess. "

You certainly can take 20.

Doc Winterdown reduces the weight on the grav-bar just as Theo falls to one knee. She sounds disappointed when she says, "Hmmmm, I thought you'd last longer."
She looks around the lab while Theo talks.
"Look, I'm not saying it's rational, but, it's all about feeling safe."
As Theo mentions BDSM, she gets a sly smile.
She finds a short rod only about 4" long and returns with it. Theo has seen it before. It's some kind of 'force-cuff' they had designed during the last 3 years for capturing Karnivore after he went feral.
"You wanted a kiss earlier, didn't you?" she asks. By the falling intonation, you can tell it wasn't really a question; She knows Theo wanted a kiss.
She holds out the device and motions for Theo to extend his arms and be force-cuffed. "Do you trust me?" she asks.

The Olympian |

Oh crap! This was an immense mistake! Theo thinks to himself.
"Of course, I do, Kory!" The Olympian smiled. "You are putting special prayers in my armor, after all."

Nissa, the Subatomic Bombshell |

I think we're moving back into simultaneous time. Theo is in BT flirting with Dr. Korey Winterdown and the rest of you are on Gay Deceiver making connections.
Oh! Well, so much for seeing L.C. on this day!
Nissa doesn’t know anything about men’s fashion, so she doesn’t comment. When Henri mentions her lack of a comm, Nissa speaks up—
“Gay Deceiver, it’s possible for me to get a comm and store it in my pocket dimension.” She pulls out the wand—which is bigger than her!—for emphasis. Then puts it back, as if sliding it into a hole in the sky that only she can sense.
“I’m no Henri, but I am an experienced pilot if there’s any way I can be useful.”
On that… I don’t know how Ship-Building works, but I DO know my 1990s anime. Could Nissa be like Melfina of Outlaw Star? Literally, a young woman who somehow helps move the talking ship?

"This was enlightening!"
"It's about to be," says Dr. Korey Winterdown.
Theo is wearing he force-cuffs. Korey has not moved. Putting the cuffs on him without moving and without him seeing is impossible, yet, Theo is wearing the cuffs.
"You and I need to have a little chat, 'Godling,'" says Korey. She seems less mousey all of a sudden. Several inches taller as well.
Oh crap! This was an immense mistake!
"Oh, don't look so disappointed, half-sibling," says Korey as she locks the force-cuffs in place, ensuring Theo cannot move (without an extremely impressive Strength check), "After we've had our chat, I'm still going to kiss you."

Theo stands there, unable to move. The Olympian considers there may be someone else in the room, and looks around the room.
"Alright, 'Korey'," Theo says, using 'finger quotes', "You've obviously gone to a lot of trouble for this 'chat'. What do you want to talk about?"

'Dr. Winterdown' gestures towards a silent video screen. It roars to life and to exactly the news item she wants. The headline reads 'Mount Olympus Transdimensional Experimental Laboratory Ready for Testing'. The video shows a bunch of excited scientists standing outside a large transparent cylinder swimming with TD-Radiation.
"This is what I want to 'chat' about, half-sibling," she says, "Were you really going to allow mortals to open a transdimensional gate at the foot of Mount Olympus? Do you have any idea what could happen?"
She walks behind Theo, running her fingers up his arm as she does. She presses in behind him. She's grown taller while she talked and now, when she presses against him, Theo is definitely the little spoon. "Watch, half-god, what will happen if they do."
She kisses Theo on the back of his neck. She remains standing behind him, out of sight.
The screen changes. The date changes. Two weeks from now. The same scientists are now running as the cylinder shatters into a transdimensional gate. Strange creatures charge through the gate, like they'd be waiting for it to open. A pair of hands, as large as cars, reach through the gate and pull a handful of scientists through it. One looks like he broke in two when the baby finger closed too tightly around him.
The scene continues to unfold. The date on the screen advances. News reports flash by. Creatures from another world, a world most humans think of as myth, pour out of the gate. Titans and monsters from stories Theo has heard walk the mortal realm. The things that were there before the Olympians defeated them are unleashed upon a world unprepared for them.
When Theo finally breaks his eyes from the unleashed horrors, he is alone in the room. The screen is black. He remains force-cuffed.
There's strange fruity scent in the air.

"Fuçk!" "Fuçk!" "FUÇK!!"
Theo pushes himself to break his bonds.
