Pyros Aldori |
Milani guide my arm Pyros thinks, drawing his sword. While no words echo in his mind, he feels a sudden surety that he has been heard. As he pushes into the water, he feels the blade surge with power, and it begins to shine. As he reaches the first kobold, he swings his blade.

LOL In this case, I would hope so ... but let me know what I'm missing :)
Seems to me like a CR1 Small Elemental which can become a 20' tall whirlwind/vortex should be able to knock down a CR.25 kobald, or at least harass it pretty well. But if it isn't going to be able to act as a small elemental, I will retrain the feats at some point.

I mean he's the big bad for a group of level 6 characters. Did you really think he was gonna be a common kobold? lol

In my head, I was probably thinking physics is physics and a 20' whirlwind should knockdown/knockback the mass of a common kobald ... but this isn't neccesarily that ;)

I'm sorry, in my COVID delerium I think I thought I had cast already
Reg directs Fury to go distract Tartuccio to prevent spell casting ... and casts Magic Missle, tarheting the farthest archer across the river.

Sure didn't ... :( would you be so kind to pick Reg a target?
I'm not delirious for the most part now, I can keep up

Quickly casting a spell, that calls upon the undying power of the ancient oak, dormant within her staff, Faerin moves forward to stand beside Pyros on the front line, as deadly wooden thorns burst from her skin.

Immediately, all of the gnomes rush to the wagon which looks to be in danger of tipping over and being washed downrtiver. You can see that half of the team of horses that pulled the wagon broke free, while the two remaining horses are wild eyed in terror and trying to pull free, making stabilizing the wagon near impossible.
Pyros Aldori |
Pyros wants to go after Tartuccio, but he only allows himself one last glare in the kobold's direction before moving to help the gnomes instead.
Uh...what check would I make to help with the wagon? Strength? Acrobatics? I've got +0 STR, so if it's something else I'll add the modifier later.
Stregnth?: 1d20 ⇒ 17
Galahad0430 |
Several things are apparent. First, you need something to help keep the wagon from being dragged off by the river, right now it is taking all efforts just to prevent that. Second, finding the other two horses would be of great benefit in pulling the wagon out. Finally, there is a large boulder that has the wagon wheel jammed, something must be done to remove it.
Ekun solved the problem of the two remaining horses, havinfg successfully calmed them down, making it easier to keep the wagon from being pulled downriver.
Faerin Cordova |
Did the other two take off?
Taking in the scene, Faerin nods, strapping her staff across her back and beginning to shift, her form altering to that of a falcon as she takes to the air, flying up to a high enough altitude to spot the runaway horses.
Wild shape: Eagle. fly 30 feet (average maneuverability), low-light vision
Octavia Reborne |
Unable to help with the physical task of wrangling the wagon, and with the animals being taken care of, Octavia studies the boulder jamming the wagon wheel, looking for a solution to pry it loose.
Knowledge Engineering: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (15) + 10 = 25
Galahad0430 |
Faerin, you quickly find the other two horses on the other side of the ford near where Tartuccio disappeared.
Octavia, A lever of some kinfd would go a long way to help pry up the rock and let you use the force of the river to move it. Also, you think it would be a good idea to use ropes to secure the wagon to some trees on the bank.
Octavia Reborne |
Taking in the situation, Octavia starts calling out directions to her other companions and the scrambling gnomes. "Does anyone have a crowbar or something else we can use as a lever? We can use it to pry that damned rock loose!"
"Reg! Harrim! we need to tie the wagon to those trees on the bank to keep it from being swept away!" she says looking in the wagon for rope.
Perception: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (5) + 14 = 19
Galahad0430 |
You find plenty of rope, and witht he aid of the gnom,es, secure the wagon. This frees up most of you to work on the problem.
You also find a crowbar, but only two people can get to the boulder. Pick two of you. The way I do cooperative rolls is that both PCs make the roll (in this case, STR w/ a +2 for the crowbar), and then whoever rolls the highest is the primary and the others are assist rolls. You can also wait for Faerin to bring back the other two horses if she calms them down.
